@all,d game is getin more and more interesting as we await d release of d list,i folow all d rumour,info and predition bin posted hia,many lack knoledge of ABU simpu admision info,ABU wl release only 1 admision list officialy online why d second list wl nt b oficial unlik last yr admision.latest about d list was dat,d list has bin snt to ABJ sinc wed for verification,d verification is stl goin on wic shows dat d list wl b pasted in scu and online anytim fr MON/TUE,as at ystaday dey were unable to tru wit d list around 2.30 pm wen dey were called bt i dont no of now,wic shows any moment dey tru wit defendin it wl b rlease dat folowin day ,in all i wish to urge u to take it easy and b prayafu because Surely names wl b reduce in Abuja because more dan 8000 names was taken dia and may be 7000 wl b sucesful at last.pray and fast if ur name has bin snt to Abuja nt to sufa setbak.

@all, hope you all aware that NASU is also on strike, this makes all work in the school SENATE building to be put aside, the warning strike will be lasted for one week, base on this just be prayerfull that the list should not be more than this month, because ABU will surely add another 1 week to our resumption may be the list should be out towards the end of this month, but as at now no seating arrangement about the list is on ground, I confirm all this from a reliable source, mind you not that work as not started on the list, as all will surely be a gradual process like this

Guy wit 211,ur chanc of getin Computer sc dpends only on ur state of origin because if dia is som1 dat got 212>,Gaskia u dont stand a chanc and if u ar d best fr ur state,admision is 80% sure 4u,d rmainin 20% is, dey might rmove it fr d senate 4anoda name.

@caleb, ABU was banned before but now they are under ASUU, but lets see what will happen because am hearing it as a rumour from one of my lecturer that ABU may opt out if the strugle continue more than the warning strike which is likely to ends by this week.

ABU ADMISSION
Its cool to be back online, to start with lets me introduce myself to those who are reading my post for the very first time, am OLUKUNLE (kunlexy) of Computer Science Department ABU here in zaria. I will like to give a piece of information as far as ABU admission is concern which I know will be of great help for those aiming to school in ABU and possibly to know faith before the release of the admission list by October. Furthermore, the question most people ask is about the GENERAL CUT-OFF mark which is absolutely not in ABU, not like any other university like OAU,U.I and many more which normally release their cut-off for people to know their stand before the release of the admission. Thank God the deal has been done and the done has been sealed meaning ABU POST JAMB has come and it has become a story by now, which am sure that many must have known their faith by their percentage and possibly waiting for the official list by October, and incase you have not check yours till now, you can log on to www.portal-abu.org/utme to check yours.
To give less information about how the admission will be this year base on the experience of previous years, the issue of admission is very simple and at the same time very hard because the competition is not of your friend you sat with during the exam but your friend you don’t see that comes from your state of origin. ABU been the first in the North and Fifth in Nigerian Universities does not use the what so many people called CUT-OFF mark for the general admission but they base it on CRITERIA, which ABU simply defined it as State of Origin. The pioneer of ABU, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the premier Governor of the Northern States built the school in order to lets Northern Candidates to read and also compete with their western candidate and southern respectively, so the school was purposely built for the Northern candidates not for many of our brothers and sisters from the near states of origin.
Here is your faith, to starts with, if you are an aspirant from west, south and east, your chance of getting admission  will be on typical merit, that is ONLY 1 person from your state that got the highest as average in both post jamb and jamb will be given admission except only if you know someone that can help you to do the follow up will you get the second chance. A pipe dream for many of our brothers and sisters was after they got mark like above 50 and they see some of their friends from the north that got 30 and 40% they will think the admission is sure for them than that guy or gel from the North, actually is a big lie, the number of candidates to be given admission from the north is more than theirs.
My brothers in the North, it’s great for them and they are the pride of Sir Ahmadu Bello as they are considered for the admission than all other candidates in Nigerian, not that all mark is their pass mark but a great advantage for them than anybody
Lets do some brain work as a mathematician
Mr. Chuckwudi from Imo state and Mr. Danlad from Zamfara state are looking for admission into Pharmacy been the competitive course as far as this year post jamb is concern, MR. Ch, got 60% in post jamb and 280 in jamb with average of  260, without knowing that Mr. Obi from the same state got 61% and 280 respectively, in the same case Mr. Danlad got 49% and 234 in jamb and Mr.Danlad does not also know that another Mr. Baba also got 50% and 234 respectively, from this both candidates are the first and second from each state.  RESULTS……… during the release of the admission list it will come out as a surprise that Mr.Danlad and his friend will be given Pharmacy been the first two from their state that got the highest and Mr. Obi alone will be given admission been the best candidates from non catchment area of the school and Mr.Ch may not be considered for admission only if knows someone will he be considered.
Not that this means that if you have a low average you will not be considered for admission, if you know someone that can help you to do the follow –up either as a student or a lecturer, you may be consider for admission, just keep the faith high with God all things are possible
All hope is not lost if you fall in this shoe, if you are a science student from the north and you too know that waiting for the admission list will be like wasting of time, because of your average which is very bad you can easily go for their remedial programme here in Funtua, katsina state near ABU in Kaduna state, Remedial is exactly like Pre-degree of other western school just to train you for the next 1 year instead of staying at home.
