MITM works when both ends are equal :

Paypal to PayPal or bitcoin to bitcoin.

Dollarflow paid for bitcoin so there is no MITM here (yet), just plain stealing, until he gets another bitcoin seller or buyer to complete the chain.

I was going to type better late than never, but then realised you paid on Monday which was after Dajo had already fallen victim.

If yours had happened the previous week and you had notified the house immediately, then a lot of stress would have been averted.

As it is now, there seems to ne no public scam records of Florence Okoh before this week, but there are enough of Emmanuel A to go around, so anyone falling victim to Florence before this week can easily be excused, unlike someone that knowingly or unknowingly buys from Emmanuel A.

Oko James sent payment via family and friends and he reversed it. He's also a witness to that.

That was the first thing I suggested.

His answer (and lack of counters from others earlier) led to seeking other solutions.

He has no issue with aleairhub. They didn't do business together.

He should just open PayPal case for his payment reversal, then let receiver defend the payment received on PayPal resolutions.

Aleairhub, pursue the man you sent payment. We had a similar case like this together via James early this year. You run a company and this is your official PayPal account. You were the one scammed by the guy. Just pursue him to recover your fund. The guy will win the PayPal case . Don't see me as being emotional, am not.

Why open PayPal case if they can settle out of court?

A scammer intercepted/impersonated AleAir and traded with his PayPal.

As far as AleAir was concerned, he was dealing with the real owner of funds and not an impersonator.

As far as Dajo was concerned, he was dealing with a real buyer (Ale Paypal email owner) and not an impersonator.

Now the man in their middle has disappeared and left them both holding both ends of a very short stick.
