no, main data isn't needed. I just described what would happen in your case since you have main data.

its better to get this without main data self.

yes, once your mtn main data expires or is used up, this one kicks in automatically. its better you exhaust your main data first before buying this one, so as not to lose validity days on this while waiting for main data to expire.

I prefer cash or card pls. vtu gets lost in transit.

this goes into a separate account called the Shared Data account.

for mtn, your bonu data reads first, then your main data (eg night plan) and then the shared data so no, they can't cancel or roll each other over.
