So the police is not to chase? I am confused If the car was filled with explosives, won't shooting the vehicle trigger the explosives? |

Politics › Re: Jail Politicians Who Break Electoral Promises; Not Citizens Who Don’t Vote by erniok(m): 12:25pm On May 20, 2025 |
Nairastake: In a democratic Country like Nigeria, voting is a civic right, not a forced duty. Jailing someone for not voting undermines personal liberty which is a core democratic value.
When politicians rig elections, bribe voters, intimidate opponents, or falsify results, they are actively destroying the democratic process. If politicians face no consequences for destroying the democratic process, the citizens will lose faith in the system, thereby not voting during elections.
Jailing non-voters punishes powerlessness, jailing corrupt politicians punishes abuse of power... The later like the writer rightly pointed out, deserves the punishment, not the former. 💯 |

Politics › Re: Public Debt: Nigeria’s Biggest Creditors After Repaying IMF Loans by erniok(m): 9:05am On May 14, 2025 |
ALTERNATEID: When Tinubu became president in 2023, we owed foreign airlines over $3billion and owe foreign bank about $6billion in unpaid letters of credit. In fact, things were so bad that JP Morgan had to quickly announce that our net reserve as at that time was $3.7 billion.
Today, the Tinubu administration has cleared all the foreign airline debt and also paid all the letters of credit debt to foreign banks. We’ve also at the same time moved our net reserve from $3.7 billion to over $23 billion in less than two years. In addition, we’ve cleared our IMF loan obtained during the covid pandemic era completely and that’s a fact. Just two days ago, we cleared the first tranche of N100billion Sukuk bond that was taken by the Buhari administration.
When the opposition media try to ridicule governments effort, it’s very important we contextualize the issues and remind ourselves where we are coming from. The transparency and accountability that this current administration has displayed when it comes to public debt is astounding. Something we’ve never seen before. Well said sir. Criticism here is very destructive rather than constructive. No one bothers to applaud the man who has done so well. |

Bonjovi13: This means that the sender is taxed twice. He pays income tax on receivables and a tax is then imposed on the same money when he is sending it overseas. That's double taxation and I am sure there are laws in the US prohibiting same. This should be litigated in court. The chances of quashing this tax is high. Seems to me they are targeting undocumented immigrants. They are exempting some class. |

Obi is a reckless talker His mouth bubbles bitterness towards Nigeria which he claim he want to be president. Trying so hard to manipulate Nigerians
Take a kook at these two statement from Obi " we know who won Edo election" ";.....those who protestested during Jonathan are they dead..?" This statement are condemnation in all ramifications
In his political history he has never United two parties. Take a look at him as Governor His relationship with APGA and his predecessors His Labour Party.
He is not the president Nigerian needs
There is no statesmanship in his utterances When Tinubu was attacking GEJ, and Buhari was literally threatening war, I guess that's what you call statesmanship. PO no even do reach half. |

China is saying that after they heeded to the appeals after considering their interest. This means they were not the one that sought out the negotiation as you claimed. |

Imagine the largest pharmaceutical market in west Africa Ogbo Ogwu Onitsha have been closed down by NAFDAC for months now without reason. This is a market traders come to trade from Cameroun, Gabon, Equatorial Guniea , all over Nigeria , west Africa etc thereby rendering people’s sources of livelihood across sub Sahara region useless and encouraged proliferation of fake and dangerous drugs into the country through smuggling channels from our porous borders at more expensive rates. The market unions have been reaching out to the Yoruba woman head of NAFDAC Mojisola Christianah Adeyeye for reason or what basis, guidelines or laws a whole market was closed but she has refused to budge thereby rubbing it in that it is for the same Yoruba against igbo hatred but life na turn by turn and nothing lasts for ever But Dora as NAFDAC boss closed down same market and no one screamed marginalisation. Why now. |
