More funds depends on the broker. There are some brokers that doesn't need huge sum to kickstart xauusd.

All brokers requires as you need higher leverage than currencies so you need more funds. For some brokers, you can trade currencies with as low as $3 on their micro account but you can't do that for gold even with a 1:1000 leverage. On most platforms, you can't even trade gold with $10, you'll be getting the insufficient fund message.

Na greed cause am, I was basket pipping and when market moves against me, I didn't get even a margin call. The whole trades were closed.

Gold requires a higher leverage than currencies so it requires more funds than currencies. Dunno about crypto cause I don't touch that one.
