hey everyone, i jus wanna kno d actual date wen d people wu applied for science lab tech are gonna be writing deirs, anyone wif dis information shuld please pass it across

pls people, wat is the actual cut-off mark, cos my friend scored 174 nd chose ibadan poly, i want to be set on the ryt track nd be given the right information

i've been trying to confirm mine, but it says its invalid registration number, nd its written on the site dat registration ends on the 24th, are they goin to extend it for 2nd choice candidates

the dates are soo wrong, registration period is between 12th of July - 24th of July, dem exams dates aint on set too, the days set out for the exams are Aug 4th, 5th nd 6th, peeps shuld check d website so dey dont get it wrong,

uniport post ume details is on the school site, go to uniport.edu.ng, nd for yabatech, they have started selling forms for their post ume too, you should go to the school or check well for any post on yabatech on dis forum, as long as you scored 180 or above

richard, i tot d diploma was just for arts nd commercial students, dat was why i tuk d remedial

jambites shouldn't av dat mindset dat jamb is hard, jamb isn't hard, i guess d problem is jus d markin scheme nd d way they score students, apart from dat, ur choice of universities also matas, i av written two exams nd i failed none, but still yet to gain admission. i rememba wen i was in secondary skul during exams period, if 85% of dem pupils fail a particular subject they eida call d teacher to book or they change him, d best thing for dem to do bout jamb is to scrap it, in jamb, no b d person wey kno book dey pass, na person wey kno im way dey pass same goes for admission processin, the individual uni shuld jus sell application forms nd den conduct entrance examinations or interviews, den u'l b liable to get application forms for diffferent skul, at least u'l be accepted in one

dis is quite gud, i kno of sumone wu entered secondary skul wen she was eight(almost nine though).i think its amazing cos i wuld av experienced the same fing if not dat i changed skul, i later did gain admission wen i was 10 so i guess im a wonder child too, lol

2009/2010 SESSION



PROSPECTIVE CANDIDATES ARE TO NOTE THE FOLLOWING



A.      FIRST AND SECOND CHOICE ADMISSION – INTERACTIVE SESSION



1.     Following the submission of results by candidates who made the University of Ibadan their First and/or Second Choice, the shortlisted candidates are requested to present themselves for verification and interactive session at the University of Ibadan on Thursday 29 October, 2009. THE LIST OF INVITED CANDIDATES WILL BE DISPLAYED on the U.I website as from Saturday 24 October, 2009. Individual e-mail and/or gsm. sms will be dispatched to all shortlisted candidates.



2.     Candidates should report at the Lecture Theatre of their prospective Faculties for the exercise at 8.30 am prompt with the following documents.



(a)         Original and photocopies of JAMB Notification of Result.

(b)        Original and photocopies of WAEC/NECO/SSCE certificates.

·        For (b) above, Candidates should note that online statements of results obtained before Nov/Dec 2007 are not acceptable for this exercise.

(c)         Original and photocopies of Birth certificate/sworn declaration of age.

(d)        Bank print out for the purchase of PIN

(e)         Two recent passport size photographs – showing frontal face view. Size should be 5.2cm x 5.2cm.



3.  The date for the verification/interactive session WILL NOT be extended. Therefore, a candidate who fails to show up at the stipulated time and date is deemed to have forfeited his/her chances of being considered for admission.





B.                CHANGE OF COURSE AND PURCHASE OF PIN



All prospective students who chose the University of Ibadan as their First and/or Second choice institution are eligible to apply on-line for Change of Course, provided they have not been interviewed on Thursday 29 October 2009, using the PINs purchased earlier. They may apply online (http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng) for change of course into the available academic programmes (To be advertised) between Monday 2 and Thursday 12November, 2009.

Candidates who were unable to purchase the processing PIN from Banks before the earlier deadlines can buy the PIN between Monday 2 and Thursday 12November, 2009 from the designated banks and apply on-line (http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng) for a change of course into the available academic programmes (To be advertised).





For further information, candidates should visit the University of Ibadan Website (http://www.ui.edu.ng/admissions)



Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Anyone found guilty of this offence will automatically be disqualified and handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

@harsix, u can neva be too sure that dey wont ask for the print out wen its time for d interview, in order to be prepared i thin u shuld go find a way to print it out, ders a guy on nairaland who was helpin pple who had already submitted print their slip out, u shuld get in touch wif him, he's name is fataiiyo, just go to d educational forum nd check out for his name, thers a topic particulaly for dat

yes, u are right, results released afta 31st august will not be considered, but dat is if ur waec results is released before den, do u av any idea of wen it will be released

@malone5923, i dont think students with awaiting results will be admitted, cos it was stated clearly during the registration for the interview dat students who r expectin their results around august or so will not be considered for the interview

i dont think those who didn't get the pin nd register wuld be allowed for the interview, because wen u register nd fill in ur academics details, dats wen they go thru it nd pick out pple for the interview
