Job Title: Internal Auditor/Compliance Officer

Location: Lagos

Job Description
o Manage our Internal Audit/Compliance unit, ensuring strict adherence to company's internal controls, policies and procedures and also promote transparency and accountability in company's operations.
o He/she will coordinate the execution of approved annual Internal Audit plan including any special tasks or projects requested by management and/or the Audit Committee that are consistent with the department’s objectives.
Qualifications and Experience
o Bachelor Degree in Accountancy, Economics or related fields of study.
o A Master's degree in Business Administration will be of added advantage.
o He/she must possess any or combination of relevant professional certifications- ACA, ACCA, and CISA.
o He/she will also have at least 5 years post qualification experience in internal audit, preferably in an oil and gas company.
o He/she must have a track record of delivering results with notable achievements and must have a very good understanding of the risk environment in the oil and gas sector.
Required Competencies
The successful candidate is expected to have the following competencies:
o In-depth understanding of internal auditing standards, responsibilities and code of ethics
o Deep oil and gas industry knowledge
o Deep understanding of accounting principles and standards
o Excellent communication skills.
o Strong analytical and evaluation ability
o Business Acumen
o Knowledge and application of regulatory guidelines
o Enterprise risk management skills
o Ability to analyze and document business processes
o Deep knowledge of operational management
o Investigation and reporting skills
