"There liveth a court jester and a part-time prophet, a kinsman of Ganimacchus from the tribe of Lokilius who worked, drank and wined all day and all night in the court of Badamasi in his first coming, named Alexius son of Akinyelemelech, from the city of Ondonirai and Badamasi beckoned unto him for interpretation for he never propeshied or seen any wrongs concerning the self confessed "evil genius". And Alexius the son of Akinyelemelech, was suddenly full of spirit and he raised his voice unto IBB and saith unto him, I see strange happenings, and thus saith the Lord God of host, that if you Badamasi would not harkened the voice of me your God to abandon your inordinate and wicked ambition, the curse of Abimelech (Judges 9) awaits you. And IBB was greatly troubled for Alexius the son of Akinyelemelech of the tribe of Lokilius a kinsman of Ganimacchus has never propeshied any evil concerning him".

Politics / Babangida Prophecy by excelabbey(m): 1:59pm On Jun 07, 2010
And it came to pass that for a second time since he stepped aside from the throne of his fathers, Badamasi the Minnarite, whose house sitteth atop a hill, desired to reclaim that throne for it was given unto the cattle rearers of his tribe to claim dominion over all the other tribes in the land, starting from the tribe of the merrymakers in the west to the tribe of the black Jews in the east and the tribe of the hewers-but-not-partakers of black gold in the deep south.

And Badamasi summoned all the princes of the tribe of cattle rearers and saith unto them: “behold, death hath looked upon our brother who was named after the Prophet Musa and placed the throne of our fathers in the hands of the hewers-but-not-partakers of black gold by divine zoning. Even then it was given unto me in a dream yesterday to rise up and go to the city of the usurper and reclaim the throne of our fathers. I have summoned thee here to bless my Al-Isra.”

And there was great rejoicing among the princes of the tribe of cattle rearers. And Badamasi, whose shekels still overfloweth from the proceeds of his first eight years on the throne of his fathers, brought forth musicians who played the horn, flute, zither, lyre, harp and all kinds of music. And as the music roared, Badamasi bade his servants: “bring forth the best robes and put it on my guests; and put rings on their hands and shoes on their feet; and bring hither the fatted calf and kill it; and let us eat and drink and be merry. For the throne of my fathers was lost and shall be found again in the year of the lord two thousand and eleven.”

And while he tasted the wine, Badamasi commanded his servants to bring the golden and silver vessels which he had taken out of the palace when he ruleth over the land so that he and his lords and his wives and his concubines might drink therefrom. They drank wine and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. And in the same hour of their feast came forth the fingers of a man's hand and wrote over the candlestick upon the plaster of the wall of Badamasi’s banquet room. And Badamasi saw the part of the hand that wrote and his countenance changed and his thoughts troubled him; and the joints of his loins were loosed, and his knees smote one against another.

And Badamasi cried aloud to bring in the scribes and knowers of every manner of papyrus from west to east and from the middle to the deep south of the land for his own tribesmen showeth interest only in one great papyrus from the land of Arabia and loathed every other manner of papyrus from the rest of the earth. And his servants went to the land of the merrymakers in the west and the land of the black Jews in the east and the land of the hewers-but-not-partakers of black gold in the deep south and sought out the great knowers of every manner of papyrus amongst them.

And when the servants hath questioned the wise men assembled, two found favour and were brought before Badamasi. And Badamasi spake and saith unto the two wise men: “whosoever shall read this writing and show me the interpretation thereof shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold about his neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom when I regain my lost throne.” The first wise man was called Chidilech whose father was Amutalem the sower; the second was called Omoruch who came from the loins of Omoruyim the Edomite.

And it came to pass that Chidilech and Omoruch could not read the writing nor make known to Badamasi the interpretation. And Chidilech the son of Amutalem the sower threw himself on the ground and saith: “my lord and master, though I know not the interpretation of this writing, I testify that thou art the prince of the Nile and thine goodness endureth forever. I assure thee, my lord and master, that a thousand shall fall beside thee, and ten thousand at thine right hand but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shall ye behold and see the reward of thine wicked enemies. Ride on in glory, my master, and reclaim the throne of thine fathers.” And Omoruch the son of Omoruyim the Edomite also did obeissance and saith: “forgive me my lord and master for age is come upon me and I no longer know the ways of the papyrus like the years of yore when I was but a humble servant in thine palace.”

Whereupon Badamasi was greatly troubled and his countenance was changed in him and his servants were perplexed. And it came to pass that some of the servants came to Badamasi and saith: “master, let not thy thoughts trouble thee nor let thy countenance be changed. There is a scribe called Ganimacchus from the town of Lokilius in the province of the merrymakers in whom is the spirit of the holy writs; and light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, were found in him; and he spake truth to power without fear and he was made master of the scribes and knowers of papyrus. Even the Pharisees and the Sadducees found in him an excellent spirit full of knowledge and understanding. Interpreting of dreams and showing of dark sentences and dissolving of doubts were found in the same him. Now let Ganimacchus be called and he will show the interpretation.

Then was Ganimacchus brought in before Badamasi who spake and saith: “art thou Ganimacchus who art from the town of Lokilius in the province of the merrymakers of the west? I have heard of thee that the spirit of the gods is in thee and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom are found in thee. I have heard that thou art fair and fearless. And now the wise men and the enchanters have been brought in before me that they should read this writing and make known unto me the interpretation thereof. But they could not show the interpretation of the thing. But I have heard of thee that thou canst give interpretations and dissolve doubts. Now if thou canst read the writing and make known to me the interpretation thereof, thou shalt be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold about thine neck and shalt be the third ruler in the kingdom when I regain my throne.

Then Ganimacchus answered and saith unto Badamasi: “let thy gifts be to thyself and give thy rewards to another for I do not partake of the feast of rulers; nevertheless I will read the writing unto thee and make known to thee the interpretation. It was given unto thee, O Badamasi, to rule over this land for eight years but thou hast not humbled thine heart. The corruption of thine ways brought pestilence and the abomination of desolation upon this land. Thou ruineth even thine own tribe during thine reign.”

And Ganimacchus added: “now thou seekest to regain thine throne of yore and reclaim thine kingdom. Then I AM THAT I AM, the fiery one who answereth by fire and visiteth the iniquities of fathers upon their sons even unto the third and the fourth generations, sent this hand to write on the wall and condemn thee for thou hast sinned and come short of his glory. And this is the writing that was inscribed on your wall, O Badamasi: MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.”

Whereupon this interpretation came forth from the mouth of Ganimacchus: “MENE – God numbered thine kingdom and brought it to an end in the year of our lord one thousand nine hundred and ninety-three; TEKEL- thou art weighed in the balances and found wanting by God and the people of this land; PERES – thy kingdom is divided and given now unto the hewers-but-not-partakers of black gold from the deep south that they may partake for the first time in their lives of the fruit and the increase of their own soil and, after them, it shall be given unto the black Jews of the east for thou hast refused to divide the yellow sun into two and grant them half of it since the end of the great war.”

And it came to pass that Badamasi was greatly troubled by these revelations whereupon he rent his clothes and ate nothing for seven days and seven nights. And when the sun had shewn its face on the eighth day, Badamasi summoned his servants and viziers and saith: “lo I promised the people of my tribe to go forth on Al-Isra and reclaim my throne that was usurped many years ago. But seeing the interpretation of the writing on the wall that was shown me by Ganimacchus of the town of Lokilius whom you brought before me, go ye forth now and tell the people of my tribe that I no longer seek the throne of my fathers.”

And the servants and viziers threw themselves on the ground and saith: “O Badamasi, we shall do thine bidding. But, pray, give us a reason. What shall we tell thine people?” Whereupon Badamasi saith unto them: “you shall tell my people that Sambo the Kadunite who now works for the usurper as the second ruler of this land is from the loins of the son of the nephew of my grandfather’s uncle. Sambo the Kadunite is therefore a junior brother and son unto me. He is the flesh of my flesh and the bone of my bones. Seeing that he is now part of the throne of the usurper from the land of the hewers-but-not-partakers of black gold, I do not wish to covet my brother’s property. So let it be written, so let it be done.”

Deji of Akure beats wife in Public
•Irate youths protest action
By Damisi Ojo | The Nation
Tuesday, June 01, 2010.

It was a scene to behold. Hundreds trooped out to watch the drama on the street of Akure, the Ondo State capital.

In full public glare, the Deji of Akure, Oba Oluwadare Adesina, allegedly beat beat up his Olori, Bolanle. The oba’s subjects were aghast as they watched the show on Sunday evening.

Oba Adesina told The Nation on phone yesterday: "It is just a domestic matter," adding: "Husband and wife are bound to have misunderstanding."

The oba was said to have left the palace with his most junior Olori, Remi Abiola, and another Akure High Chief to fight with Olori Bolanle on the popular Hospital Road, Akure.

His action annoyed some youths, who came to the Olori’s rescue. The irate youths were said to have vandalised the monarch’s Pathfinder Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) after mobbing him.

The Oba, witnesses said, was whisked off by a team of policemen in a patrol vehicle. He was said to have fallen into a ditch in an attempt to escape from the mob, his cap reportedly fell off his head.

Trouble started at about 5.30 pm when Oba Adesina, along with Olori Remi, stormed the residence of Olori Bolanle at 141, Hospital Road, Akure, in his SUV and another Toyota Starlet car marked (Ondo) AL 963AKR.

On alighting from the vehicles, Olori Bolanle was said to have run into her room and asked her people to tell the oba she was not around.

But when he could not see her, the oba was alleged to have ordered the stern-looking youths that accompanied him to locate her at all cost.

At this stage, Olori Bolanle came from her room to know why she was wanted.

There was said to be an exchange of words, which prompted the oba to order that hot ashes, believed to have been mixed, be poured on her.

A woman who attempted to shield the olori had a raw deal in the hands of the oba’s entourage. Olori Remi was even said to have smatched a plank on the senior Olori’s head.

The younger brother of Olori Bolanle and youths of the area then mobilised against the monarch and his entourage.

When it was obvious that the youths wanted to lynch Adesina and that he could not escape without being beaten or molested, the Officer-in-Charge of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) was contacted and he dispatched his men to the scene.

But the monarch’s vehicle had been vandalised and blocked with another Xterra SUV belonging to Olori Bolanle, making him to leave in the police patrol vehicle.

It was learnt that the oba and Olori Bolanle have been at loggerheads for sometime, a development that prompted the olori to pack out of the palace and relocate to her parents’ home.

Oba Adesina was said to have come to her home to retrieve the properties he bought for the olori. These include the Xterra SUV.

The oba said some people wanted to tarnish his image by saying he beat up the olori in public. (Auspy: Errr, what was that they say about about smoke and fire again?)

According to him, there is nothing to it all; it is just a domestic matter between husband and wife.

Politics / Reversal Of Ribadu Dismissal - Noble Or Ignoble by excelabbey(m): 11:45am On May 27, 2010
PSC on Ribadu: A dog to its Vomit.

By Atsar Terver

When in December 2008, the PSC dismissed the then DCP, Nuhu Ribadu from the Police, the spokesman for the commission, Suleiman Abba summarised the basis for his sack as follows: ‘the commission (PSC) dismissed the officer from the force for acts of gross indiscipline, insubordination and absence from duty, which are singularly and collectively acts punishable under rules 030401 of Public Service Rules 2006’. He had stated unequivocally that the decision to dismiss Ribadu from the force was taken after both the Force and PSC examined eight issues raised against the former anti-crimes boss and found him guilty.
In that same statement, Abba also justified the demotion of Ribadu from the rank of AIG to DCP stating that Ribadu’s case was neither the first nor the only instance where officers have been reduced in rank in the history of the Nigeria Police Force. Indeed Ribadu was demoted alongside several other officers, whose promotion violated the laid down procedures.

With the reversal of both the demotion and dismissal barely one month after Jonathan assumed power as President, it is pertinent that Nigerians be told the basis for this new decision. We need to be told for instance if the ’Public Service Rules 2006’ have changed. And even if they have changed, we need to know if a rule can be applied in arrears; in which case we would go back in history and reverse all demotions/dismissal s that were done in the past for the same reasons as Ribadu’s.

This is a burden that rests squarely on the head of the Police Service Commission. Parry Osayande needs to come out boldly and tell Nigerian’s if he still has an atom of integrity. If he does, he should know what to do; that is to resign. But that word is very strange to Nigerian public officers. It is only here that public officers speak from both sides of the mouth with impunity and the general public allows them to get away with it.

How on earth could we the citizens be expected to still have confidence in a Police Force where you first promote a set of officers,( one of them a Nuhu from Asst Commissioner to AIG in just 3 years ) and then you reverse the promotions having ‘discovered’ that they by-passed due process. This Nuhu refuses to accept his demotion and in the process violated several service rules for which he is dismissed. Then two years after you ‘realise’ that the demotion needed not have happened and the dismissal should have instead been retirement. Where is the honour or integrity of the PSC members in all these?

What about the other officers that were demoted alongside Ribadu many of whom accepted their new ranks and continued to be obedient to the authorities? How does rewarding the indiscipline and insubordination of Ribadu motivate the officers of the Force to be disciplined?

I am not oblivious of the fact that some Nigerians are too excited with the Nuhu's restoration to see the truth. In fact this is exactly our problem as a people. We tend to cerebrate the absence of working institutional frameworks and enforcement of the rule of law, which makes it nearly impossible for us to discern when an act is noble or ignoble.

The reversal of Ribadu’s Demotion/dismissal would be a welcome development if and only if the promotion that was reversed initially was lawful and the dismissal was done without cause and did not follow due process. But the facts of the matter are different. His rapid promotion from ACP to AIG within three years was clearly established by the PSC to be irregular. It was clear to everyone then that Obasanjo single-handedly manipulated the system to get Ribadu promoted to that rank, over and above his colleagues, in order to position him where he could drive his (OBJ’s) political ambition. His dismissal also followed all the laid down procedures; a panel was set up which gave Ribadu ample opportunity to defend himself but he shunned the Panel.

Since Ribadu went to court to challenge the demotion and dismissal, the only legal thing to do was to allow the case to go on to a logical conclusion, if he won and a court ordered his reinstatement, fine and good, but for the PSC to now reverse itself without explanation is simply despicable. It bears very bold imprints of impunity. A dog just returned to its vomit. That dog is the PSC and the dog-handler is GJ.

President Jonathan is living true to my prediction that he will return Nigeria to the era of arbitrariness and lawlessness which was characteristic of Obasanjo’s regime. The President now constitutes himself into a Law onto himself and can order withdrawal of charges against any accused persons (like Ribadu) while at the same time order charges to be proffered against another (Ogbulafor) depending on who holds more promise to influence his political future. The constitution allows the President to pardon a convict but I am not aware he can order withdrawal of charges. Where are the Bamidele Aturus, and Akeredolus of this world now?

Only a kindergarten would be in doubt about Jonathan’s political game plan for 2011. Ribadu had played it well for his mentor Obasanjo, and he GJ was a major beneficiary of Ribadu’s manipulative games in the run up to the 2007 elections. Speculations that he intends to make him INEC Chair are therefore not unbelievable.

Goodluck Jonathan is merely playing a script written for him by the USA when he went to the White House. That script has the interest of only two people in mind namely the USA and the USA! And if he plays it well, GJ will be handsomely rewarded. No international press propaganda would be mounted against his government. We shall against all facts on ground be told that a messiah has come to take Nigeria out of the woods.

Family / Man Stabs Mom Over Adultery by excelabbey(m): 6:15pm On Apr 15, 2010
April 14, 2010 16:56, 2,083 views

By Cyriacus Izuekwe

An angry man, Nnamdi Mekunye, unleashed anger on his mother, Abigail, by using a knife to stab her several times on her neck where she had gone to take pepersoup and beer with another man.

The 27-year old man who has been arrested and charged to court, had earlier warned his mother to desist from living a life that brings shame to him and their family in the area.

Failure to listen to the warning of her son resulted in her being stabbed at a popular joint at Ajamgbadi, a suburb of Lagos.

She bled till she became unconscious before she was rushed to a hospital where she was revived.

The man’s action has landed him in Kirikiri Maximum Prisons as he was arrested by the police and charged to Ojo Magistrate’s Court for attempted murder.

The offence he committed was said to be contrary to Section 320 of the Criminal Code, cap 17, vol. 2, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria 2003. When the matter came up before the magistrate, Mrs. J. O. E. Akhanawya, the accused pleaded not guilty to the charge after the charge was read to him.

He was granted bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

The court ordered that the sureties must deposit N100, 0000 in the Chief Registrar’s account pending the determination of the matter in court.

He was remanded in Kirikiri Maximum Prisons because he could not meet the bail conditions.

The matter has been adjourned till a later date.
