And there is wisdom behind when it comes to imagining extraordinary cars but above all because they make them like few others, with power and refinement in equal parts. Just look at some of the models most desired by fans (and those who are not) included in the famous initials of David Brown.
The DB4 GT is obviously one of them. Its engine is a jewel that not only survives the passage of time but also revives with its passage. Presented for the first time in October 1959 at the London Motor Show, it quickly won the affection of the drivers who took it to the city and the circuit in equal parts, with memorable results like those achieved in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The strategic construction of its body by the method of “Superleggera” by the Italian coachbuilders of the same name, gave it an exceptional agility that would end up inheriting its successor in the family, the DB5. Of the DB4 GT, only 75 units were manufactured from 1959 to 1963, all in the mythical Newport Pagnell factory. Place that today welcomes the division of Aston Martin Works, an enclave that protects the heritage of the brand and in charge of the meticulous restoration of its models. And yet this introduction is not a final point in the history of the DB4 GT.
