There is something that I am still trying to understand though. Anybody with the answer should chip in.

Isn't USDT/NGN different from USD/NGN that is traded in the forex market. Since USDT is dependent on USD, shouldn't it be the USD that influences USDT not the other way around. If there is manipulation going on then it's the people trading real dollars that are at the bottom of it cause nobody is using USDT to buy goods. USDT is just used as a means of exchange for crypto. Why would BDCs and other institutions be using the price of a digital asset to influence the price of their physical dollar. Shouldn't it be the other way around? It's not like they can send their dollars to binance and sell on binance because that medium is blocked or do they have a way to bypass it?

The volume of the USDT/NGN traded on binance spot is very low (I'm having problems uploading the photo). The volume shows that about $2.4 million dollars was traded as at the time of this post and during that time there was a strong selling pressure that drove the price down. Does that mean that if I have a $3million buy order now that I want to inject into the market will that effectively revert the price back to 1900? If possible that would mean that if someone caused a volatility like that normally p2p traders will change their price but why would BDCs and other institutions follow suit when they are not trading USDT?

Someone that understands my question and is knowledgeable about this stuff should please explain.

Where are you seeing daily volume of 2 million? Abi my eye dey pain me? 4. Something billion trading volume, well above BTC/usdt. What should that tell you. And this is just SPOT trading in binance.

price of coins are manipulated all the time and it is ilegal even in the u.s but their is a difference between manipulating price and buying a product.

It is not ilegal to buy thing, they can go after those manipulating the price but asking for the data of all those who trade currencies is illegal by law...

And shows dictatorship good luck asking for the data from those companies tho.

There is nothing illegal here, if there is a case of money laundering, fraud, sponsorship of war, terrorism etc, you will get flagged. It's a standard all over the world. That's why we have regulations. if you want to remain anonymous, by all means buy monero.

Except some government officials are behind this? This one military dictators are taking over African countries and blocking their bank account, is this another way of the government official having a backup plan? sad

you think real life is a movie those fintechs, social media companies have more accurate data on you than the government does.

I thought the government said linking nin to your line will help stop kidnapping grin

They have the data, Nigerian government can demand for these data. They have no right listing usdt/ngn on spot without the approval of the government and proper regulations.

I don't talk much on p2p, but the binance spot. Let them clamp that one first, then go after the big purchase on p2p. It's easy to catch since their account with bnv/nin is linked directly.

I will soon be talking about all these online bank, opay and co. A simple SQL request by the government to simple weed out Nigerian counterparts Manipulators

BVN, Nin, crypto exchanges, passport, thumb prints, online banks opening left and right, onshore bank etc. The government has every right to these data, get them, make a query on them , regulate the economy. Not so simple, that's where you need data analytics. Read the data, you get your solution. The world is changing, and too fast, you need to appoint technical ppl in these delicate positions.

Come guys. Is it possible that other whales on binance that are not necessarily Nigerians are the cause of the sell pressure on the naira?

For all I know, Binance only allows ngn spot trading, I don't trade forex but I think you can also short ngn with leverage in the forex market and the forex market has more trading volume so why do you say that binance with just spot trading is the cause of the selling pressure.

Forex is regulated. Even in a regulated market, they can stop market in an emergency like this.

Binance is NOT regulated.
They should stop that spot trading. If you like cap 5000 for p2p, once a market order greater than certain amounts that goes to your bank, the bank will flag it. Ppl avoid that road. But the spot market, I can make a billion transactions and sent to just na email to someone else, manipulation etc.
These orders are increasing exponential. It's either your economy or yahoo, make Una choose. . The spot market is still on. Let every one go through p2p where they have your BVN/Nin.

Meanwhile almost the billions Tether treasury are printing are for Nigerians. And for your info USDT is not USD for those of you rushing to store your change in USDT. Once that USDT collapse like UST, that Una fake dollar will disappear.

Since Binance launch ngn spot trading @750, there has been drastic downward of ngn. Il sure you can't access spot trading if in ngn(to be confirmed) but outside Nigeria, it's very much accessible to MM to short the currency. Something similar happened with the russian currency, Binance was forced to closed the spot trading. If you want to short a Nigerian currency t should be done on a regulated channel. Pls if anyone knows tinubu I'm here to provide a solution to y'all problems. I'm very serious, I have all the datas but I don't come cheap. Beneficial to everyone . If un no hear word, the usdt will be 3200 in about 3 months when we approach ATH.

Binance is the biggest crypto exchange in the world.
Btc/usdt is supposed to be the most traded coin in cryptocurrency. Cos most ppl convert their local currency to that.

But look at Nigerian naira and usdt volume. More that BTC and usdt. I'm not even talking about the p2p. This is just spot

Eur/usdt is 31million in volume. And you tell me that binance has no say in the drastic fall of the Nigerian Naira.

A day volume , just a day is in billions of dollars.

Read about money, read about the market makers and you got your solution.
Nigerian government should force binance to stop spot trading . This is an emergency!!! The p2p can go on, but that spot trading is open to manipulation by market makers.

You learnt a good lesson. Not to buy at top. There is also a lesson of how to take profit. if you bought some in last 2 weeks, it should be up 100%. Take a little profit and leave the rest to run. Why? I believe we still see a big dump. Retailers are yet to come. Money no dey.
Everywhere hard, Euro banks are blocking money to exchanges, US are fighting exchange for regulation, the small retailers still here are having problems buying. You see profit, take small go chop oh. I don talk my own. When everyone here starts asking which coin to buy, start taking profit. When the place quiet , go and buy then wait for noise.

How I Create and Protect My Crypto Wallets

Using an exchange as the only place you store your crypto is not really cool.

Only money you can lose or you'll soon use for trade is supposed to be there. You need to have your personal soft wallet. Not 1, not 2, but 3, 7 or more. And you need to memorize ALL of them and recall them offhand. It's easy. I'll teach you.

This is how I do mine: On a brand new phone, after factory-resetting it, I install Trust Wallet and Metamask, then turn off my Internet. You can create and open a wallet without Internet.

I get a pen and a notebook and start creating wallets and when the seed phrase comes up, I immediately start coming up with a funny and some times, naughty story around those 12 words.

If it makes sense, rhymes, funny, and naughty, I keep it because it'll be automatically memorable. If it doesn't, I discard and continue.

I did this more than 40 times and got 10 extremely memorable, hilarious, and naughty ones. They're so hilarious and memorable even an alzheimer patient will find it difficult to forget.

I used AI to generate funny images that'll depict those crazy imaginative stories visually.

I used Capcut to put the slideshow together and added a voiceover. You can do it with your voice or AI voice. Capcut has everything. The stories are really catchy and absurd. That's why they're memorable.

I upload it online and people watch and enjoy. Each story is a clip of 30 seconds or less.

Note: The phrases are mixed with other words to make the story rhyme and easily recalled.

I'm the only one who knows the words that matter and their combinations, the prefix and suffix to omit to get the base word, etc.

It's the best method I have discovered. Hardware wallet? Yeah, cool to have, but the stories I hear about them nowadays eh.

Imagine uploading your seed phrase on YouTube and people are watching, commenting and enjoying the storyline, but they have no idea it's someone's seed phrase. Even if you tell them, they won't be able to fix it together.

People watch those videos, but they have no clue. Those I told still can't figure the 12 seed phrase out of those stories.

Example:

12 seed phrase

1. alcoholic
2. turkey
3. tackle
4. raccoon
5. truck
6. winter
7. guilt
8. crane
9. tray
10. child
11. dash
12 chicken

The above is a real one fro Trust Wallet.

We are different, so everyone's story will be different.

This is the first one I came up with.

An alcoholic from Turkey tackles a raccoon driving a truck in winter. Without guilt, he drove a crane carrying a tray with a child on it to dash a hungry chicken.

I realized I'm going to forget the word "tackle" so I added supporting words to make it more memorable.

Here is the modified version.

An alcoholic from Turkey, a football defender, tackles a raccoon driving a truck in winter. Without guilt, he drove a crane carrying a tray with a child on it to dash a hungry chicken.

The line: football defender is a trigger phrase to help me remember "tackle."

Even though I used alcoholic instead of alcohol, I know the main word. Same with tackles instead of tackle, etc.

When I'm done with the story, I source for images, then I open Capcut editing app owned by Tiktok to edit them.

Capcut is free and has unlimited AI image generation inbuilt. That app is too good to be free.

Anybody who edits videos on phone and doesn't use Capcut, I laugh — you're missing. The new AI-oriented updates are insane and all for free.

Anyway, let's forget about Capcut. I just can't believe it's free sha.

The above imagery is actually one of my worst. Though, it's memorable, a little funny, but not naughty or as good as the ones I personally use. Those ones, when I recite them, I can't help but laugh.

You know, I can't reveal them, but use this "alcoholic" example to get my message.

So, if I'm traveling to North Korea, nobody is going to seize my hardware wallet at the airport or if I get robbed in Mexico, I'll still have my soft wallet available on YouTube.

You can even monetize these short videos and make money with them.

So, keeping your seed phrase in the open is actually the best way to hide it and the best way to memorize and recall them easily without stressing your brain.

The thing I wrote above may seem like too much to do just for a seed phrase, but damn, it's so easy, simple and fun for me.

Before I go to bed, I always generate a new seed phrase and come up with a story around it to see if I'll topple the ones I already have. It has become a fun adventure for me.

Unfortunately, the one I used as an example above won't open because I forgot to verify it. You know, after generating a seed phrase, you need to re-type it to approve it, but I forgot. I'm really not happy with myself.

That error is the reason I wrote this post so that I'll use it to show example of how to save your seed phrase right in front of people.

They have eyes, but they can't see.

Below are the pictures for the story.

Image 1: An alcohol.ic from Turkey tackle.s a raccoon. (Yes, they've changed their country's name, but let's use it for now).

Image 2: Raccoon driving a truck in winter.

Image 3: The man not feeling any guilt from what he did earlier to the raccoon, he used a crane with a tray on it to carry a child he wants to dash to a chicken to eat.

He's such a wicked man. I guess that's why he's an alcoholic.

Tip: You can even create a funny one for your child or little siblings or whatever and infuse some rhymes to it.

They'll grow with it but won't know it's their university school fees you've put inside for them as Bitcoin.

That's planning ahead of time for your kids. Everything mustn't be in normal bank or fiat. Let's utilize this technology well the same way we're utilizing AI.

This is very dangerous. NEVER EVER store your keys online/not even in your head. I don't care whether you use short story or not. It takes a 2dollar pipe rench to strike you, make you sing like a bird and get all keys out from you.

Knowing you are probably a crytop trader and getting all your digital footprint, Your YouTube short storys can be brut-force with these possible combinations and get out your wallets.

It seems memory loss haven't happened to you before. When the basic word you know too well just escapes from your memory.

In a cold storage, you can set up a multi signature. Divide your keys into different parts and maybe bury them in different off locations(get the compass reading ) .cold storage shouldn't be uploaded online even in form or songs or otherwise.
That's why we have hot wallets for simple transfer etc.
