Yet another tragedy has struck Nollywood as Yoruba actor, Abdul-Lateef Titilope Ashimiyu aka Alfa Lateef has died. This is coming barely two weeks after popular actress and wife of veteran actor Jide Kosoko, Henrietta Kosoko succumbed to her battle with diabetes.
Alfa Lateef, who’s mostly known for his role as an Islamic cleric in movies, reportedly passed on yesterday evening after a brief illness.
As stated by the deceased’s family, his body will be interred in his family house in Agunpopo, Oyo State by 8:00 am today according to Islamic injunctions.
His death has once again shocked some actors and actresses in the Yoruba film industry. Fans and colleagues of the actor have taken to social media to express their grief about the loss.
This year alone, more than five Nollywood actors have died. They includeSikiru Adeshina aka Arakangudu, Fatai Onibuade, Mike Odachi, Genevieve Nene, Fred Eketa and others.

Singer Saeon may have thrown a subtle jab at Nigerian Superstar Artiste, Wizkid.

Recall that both artiste in time past had a feud over a feature track and publicity as the female singer had featured Wizkid in one of her singles but was disappointed that he didn’t do much to promote it.

Saeon in a recent chat indirectly rejected ‘Baba Nla’ wizkid as she said: “I like my Man tall, So I can jump at him and climb him” noting that the superstar is too short to hande her.
