I think this question you asked, being rhetorical enough, is still a mystery to be resolve. Why were they all sacked/released? Are they being owed or they've all been paid their wages and arrears? re they being signed by other clubs within Nigeria or outside the shores of the country?

Oohhh... He was a very well known football star for our neighbouring country Benin-Republic. May His soul R.I.P.

He's iriginally a Nigerian, his crop of players (about a handful of them) decided not to wait till they're given a chance to start/debut for the Super Eagles because the 2006 world Cup was at stake and the competition for the Nigerian shirt was so so high. And these guys were playing in big NPFL clubs back then like Eyimba, Enugu Rangers, Kano Pillars etc.

So they all, having changed their nationality, left the camp for the Republic of Benin where they've been assured of those shirt since they are good professional footballers in their own right. And many of these Nigerian footballers (having changed their nationality) represented Benin republic at the World Cup that year.
