ANOTHER one Rule UPDATE!

MAX 5 Players across top 5 leagues. (EPL, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and Bundesliga (not sure if that one na league sef (na joke oo grin ?)
i.e., You can have Players 1/2/3/4/5 (5 Players NOT 25!)
1 Player per league
Non-penalty goal - 20 points
Penalty - 15 - Points
Assist - 10 Points
Yellow Card - MINUS 5 points
Redcard - MINUS 10 points
Minutes Played in a single match 90 mins - Extra 5 points
MOTM - 5 Points
Age - 25 years or below. (Sorry Gyokeres )

Y[b]es, that’s exactly what I said yesterday, there should be a system that stops people from stacking too many star players in their team[/b]. For example, players like Palmer, Haaland, Yamal, Gykeres, Kane, Salah, Mbappe etc ,should be placed in one premium category, where you are only allowed to pick a maximum of one player from that group.
This would create a level playing field for everyone, and Secondly,we need to ensure that, there are no identical selections. For instance, I know Popizaino won the last challenge, and I might be tempted to copy his players so I can win too, but with this rule, if someone picks exactly the same players as another person, the second who submitted his players last, will have to reselect.😅😂😂

Kai, this one na another dimension and also makes sense.

I was going to run a simple website/app with user registration, automated results and scoring formula feeding via OpenFootball API (and some other paid services) but its taking longer that I would like plus feeding data for ALL players from across top 5 leagues will just bloat the DB.

So lets start with a Spreasheet, get the players and users in. Much easier to manager data for a selected few.

There was a suggestion to go with 3 players per top 5 league. Meaning you can't have say Cherki and Palmer or Halaand and Jaoa.
Harder but that should make it an even playing field

For the other part, in previous editions, I think we had age limit that was a little different - It was for the World Cup - Hence the StarBoy thing.

This one - we can go with no limits.

I believe penalty takers should earn fewer points, while assists should be rewarded more. Most times, the penalty taker doesn’t actually work for the chance, imagine I have Ekitike in my FBS's team, and he’s fouled in the box. Then Salah steps up, takes the penalty, and scores. In that case, Salah gets 15 points for something he didn’t create, while the my starboy who won the pk get zero points. That doesn’t feel fair, so pk taker shouldn't have more points than assiters.
Pk takers most time reaping where they did not sow. 😂😂😂
