Just watched the Leicester match again. They play, they entertain. They kick and press. MY kind of football.

Understand the argument before jumping.

Fergie said his problem is Iniesta and Xavi because "they keep the ball all night long".

Who keeps the ball all night long? Xavi or Iniesta? Busquets even chokes possession more.

Ive seen Barca play in the flesh with Xavi and without Xavi. Its 2 different games.

Lets put it this way - Barca are more content to counterattack these days because the metronome Xavi is no longer there. He is the foundation of the Barcelona system.

These days they more rely on Neymar, Messi and Suarez to make a difference than on controlling the ball till the opponent is seasick.

Lets just say that if you take the UCL final last year and swap the strikers of both teams, Juve would win 3-0. So Iniesta is just a beneficiary.

With Xavi it is different. He could still choke Juventus to death with possession even if you swapped the strikers. The difference being in this scenario that Xavi is the orchestrator while Iniesta is the beneficiary.
Sure I shouldn't have jumped in...not my style but just couldn't stand it. Placing stats above everything distorts both the arguments and the picture you are trying to paint.

There is a reason Fergie said Iniesta (drive the team forward) and Xavi (Game control). This has ZERO to do with stats. Its just the way they play. Geddit?

PS; aint taking sides, na just this over-reliance on stats that made me jump in. grin

That is a journalists redaction. Every top player has quotes but the full quote is below:

"It wasn't really Messi who was the problem. It was Iniesta and Xavi. They can keep the ball all night long."

Once again that is a case of Iniesta being lauded for another mans work. If you talk of Barcelona choking the opposition of possession, Xavi was the critical element. Busquets is even more critical to that than Iniesta. You can check all the passing stats.
Ibime, kai, fuk shait with all them stats. na wetin? You no dey tire? Stats aint everything man. Abi you no dey take your own eye dey watch match ni? Something tells me you don't watch La Liga much sef. tongue grin

Best goal of the Season... cool
mehn, it was AWESOME! but besides that, Leicester played some neat, straight to the point good football yesterday. One time passing, wingers doing their thing, the fullbacks worked tirelessly and that little engine room called Kante is some player..and the other guy Drinkwater. What a combo. I'm very much impressed.

Phones › Re: Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 VS Gionee M5 by FBS: 12:21pm On Jan 22, 2016
The HW/Specs of the RN3 beats the Gionee hands down cos
1) Helio X10 (MT6795/T) is a good SoC on high mid-end phones.
2) MIUI/7 just rocks. Gets the job done. Sure, there are some hiccups here and there
3) LARGE COMMUNITY. That means plenty plenty custom ROMs, support Official/unofficial... etc
4) XIAOMI make good products and are firmly on the heels of Apple and Samsung.

Of course the price difference says it all but hey, you get what you pay for.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Dybala is Argentine.
Dual citizenship. No, actually make that triple. cheesy

Thanks to his dual citizenship, Dybala is eligible to play for Poland and Italy but he has expressly stated that he feels Argentine and has always dreamed of playing for Argentina.[29] Despite having sealed his decision of representing Argentina's colours, Dybala maintains that he feels a strong connection to his grandfather's country of origin, referring to it as "my family's blood"

Besides, I really dont think we need to panic buy this window. Play them kids, they can't be any worse than the current squad of nonsense players.

You aren't digging Auba,Pastore, wijnaldum and lukaku?

Auba aint planning on saying bye bye to Dortmund.
Pastore? French ligue go don weaken his appetite and its not like PSG will drive him personally to The Bridge.
Wijnaldum, so far for me its a miss and hit. Not sure he is the No 10 we need.
Lukaku? Everton wey no gree sell Stone will sell Lukaku?

Costa,Oscar,Hazard,Courtois- Out
Lukaku-Alli/Wijnaldum/Barkley/Tielemans-Brahimi/Moura/Pastore/Auba-Butland/Scuffet-In

That will actually be an upgrade
Aint digging all those names there except Tielemans. Good with both feet.
Maybe Butland as second choice cos I'm definitely OK with Begovic. He's made only 2-3 mistakes all season.

Meanwhile FBS, Ibime has a point on Dybala.
You can't compare Pogba's situation in Juve to Dybala.
raumdeuter:
Ibimes POV makes more sense. Juve wont sell Dybala unless someone offers magalicious money. A player they just bought and hinged their attacking hopes on
funny guys. Yes he has a point but I read elsewhere (as at December) that Barca were sort of in for him.
See here.

Will they sell or not? heck knows but never rule it out. I like the player so maybe its just a wish.

Pogba has been there for some time and his contract is near expiring in the next couple of years. The fans expect him to leave.

Dybala just joined. A move is not on the agenda, either for the player who is just settling in or the fans who don't expect it.

Use common sense abeg.
STFU my friend. Money talking here. The question you should have asked (Mr common sense) is this - are we interested in him/is he what we need and not that he cannot be sold/bought.

if they are ready to sell Pogba what makes you think Dybala is untouchable? Surely he will go for even lesser fee.
