A good all-round first half performance. Second half? not so good.

And I've changed my mind about Hazard. Even though he was on the bench he was extremely happy when we scored and his attitude coming off the bench was excellent. Y'all know me, I always say it as it is.
What I want to see though is the consistency. A player like that shouldnt be happy with 5-10 mins cameo appearances. We expect more.

Hazard has been carrying his team until this season. I wouldn't compare him to Ronaldo or Neymar but he is good. He is the reason we did well last season and the one before.

Contrast that to when we attack and there is neither Ramires nor Mikel within 5 yards of Hazard to receive the ball and run into forward space.

Every member of this thread has been calling for a worthy partner for Matic all summer. In my case even longer.

Tiago was not a great midfielder but he won everything for Chelsea. Lucas and Can have the basic requirement to play midfield.

Fabregas, Ramires and Mikel are 1/10 in certain aspects of their game that make them completely unsuitable for the pivot and unbalance the team fatally.

Put Can or Lucas alongside Matic and that midfield is good to go. I am even on record as saying Jack Cork who is 5/10 in everything will improve that midfield.

It is not whether you are world class in certain aspects that make a midfield, you must have every aspect of midfield play to a proficient level to make a stable midfield.

Jack what? You've asked for similar players and none have performed.

The situation is mental not ability.

The best thing to do now for Jose is to keep shut. Let the football and managerial skills do the talking.
