Ibime: In order for Mikel to play that role, Mata has to leave.Just because its darn difficult to get the ball off Mikel does not make him a DM and I guess that was what JM saw in him, which in my humble opinion was a mistake. Asking Mata to play DM is like asking Cech to play as a winger. Most will fancy Mata now but had JM allowed Mikel to flourish in his natural role it would have been a different story. Either ways, Mikel on his day will rival ANY world class midfielder. |

of course not but his game could have gone up more notches if to say he was allowed to evolve. That's what we are saying. He wasn't really progressing as a DM (because clearly he is NOT one) but a bright talent when doing his thing and we know what he can do. This is not just about the confeds. |

Jarus: Let's give it to him. Mikel is a world class midfielder. Chelsea is just dulling him giving him limited role to express himself.Oh yes he is and like I've always said, JM limited Mikel's role by assigning him to that DM spot. He is not. You can see his game when he is allowed to do his thing. A world class player if you ask me. |
