Skimpledawg: This Bellingham is a menace Remember I called everyone out for calling him packaging. You don't captain a top team (or any team sef) as a teenager and call it packaging. Boy is performing wonders at this early age. Amazing. |

imo we saw and called it early that one single counter - Brentford would be smiling and they got exactly what they wanted.
Mbuemo was balling all game and got his assist and goal. He ran the full length of the field - attacking and defending.
This group of Chelsea players seems not to understand that winning is IMPORTANT and to win, you have to shey kini? Score goals.
SMH.
And to all those pundits posting and writing nonsense on X on how we have arrived and bla bla bla...hopefully e don clear for their eyes now.

The opening games have been nothing but exciting.
Grizzlies tried and with Marcus Smart coming into the fold and showing some leadership and defensive (even though it felt as though Nuggets were just toying with them) they might be able to ride out the storm.
Rockets could have probably won the game against Spurs until Victor Wembanyama happened taking it to OT and yep, they (Spurs) did not look back from there.
Dee. Fox having a good game for the Kings so far against Warriors but still early days.
All close call games really and some with the inaugural NBA Cup coming up in November, it's SHOWTIME! |

El Shaarawy is one intelligent player....his assist for Lukaku's goal in the EL highlights that fact. He placed the ball exactly where Lukaku would have expected it, on a plate so to speak.
Good on him. |

The refs though...how can you have 2/3 people watching one single ball and they mostly miss the obvious fouls and then when challenged call it marginal? Like |

Cvxxx: You couldn’t avoid the Wemby hype even if you tried.
If you watched an earlier game on opening night, you saw a countdown to the Wemby debut in the corner of your screen. And if you watched the Wemby debut, you saw him sitting on the bench in foul trouble with his stat line still attached to the scoreboard.
It’s inevitable.
But no matter how bright the light shining on Wemby gets, we can’t let it dim the journeys of others.
Last night, another 7-footer made his debut on that same court. He outscored, out-rebounded and outplayed Wembanyama.
His name is Dereck Lively II, and his story is even crazier. Because while Wemby was driven by the hype, Lively was driven by the pain.
12 years ago, Wembanyama was just getting discovered in Paris. He was covering over 30 feet of distance with two dribbles and two steps at just 8 years old.
That same year, Lively’s life took a very different turn.
“I went to the edge of the stairs and peered down. I see my father black and blue, lifeless on the floor. My mom was over him with her phone in her hand screaming for help to 911. It was too late. He had overdosed on heroin. You never get over it. Whenever you go in the living room, you feel it. The spot where he was on the floor was darker and the rug was a little flatter.”
Dereck carried his father’s heavy name on his back all the way to the NBA. And as tragic as his story is, it prepared him for anything.
Last night, Lively came off the bench to play with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. By halftime, Head Coach Jason Kidd made him the starter. And by the end of the game, it was clear the Mavs found something special.
🔹 16 points 🔹 10 rebounds 🔹 7-8 FG 🔹 1 block 🔹 1 steal 🔹 The W
Lively’s career high at Duke was 13 points. Took him one game to break that number in the NBA.
Dallas needed a big man who can protect the rim and be that lob threat. Now they have one.
But for Dereck Lively II, he just needed an opportunity.
And now he has it…🤷🏽♂️
#copied Story for the gods. Boy just started his career with just 1 game into the regular season but hate don already start? Why? Just 1 game in, 1 freaking game. Is it his fault that the media is hyping him? Does he look like a lazy player to you? Lively had a great game no doubt but let Wembayama be and enjoy the game. |
