Lamine Yamal should hold his head up; he’s the future of football. His time will surely come. The boy will end like Neymar, mark today |

eazzzy1: The new tax system is progressive. No matter what you make, you don’t pay tax on the first 800k. If you make 1.2m annually, you only pay 15% tax on 400k.
The new tax is a reduction of the tax burden on the poorest in the society. Minimum wage earners will pay less tax than they pay now. Nigerians normally be anini. High income earners no dey wan pay tax ... Na cow and throw Money for burial them like. Show offs. That tax them must pay |

Angelfrost: This is what I keep talking about...! We are shouting more tax and more tax.
No one is talking about transparency, accountability and a corrupt-free system of using revenue strictly for national good.
For over 6 decades since Independence, Nigerian revenue has been largely shared by a privileged few.
Even a child in UK, U.S and Canada joyfully pays taxes... This is because he or she can personally be given detailed account of what his tax is used for. Pay first anini |

yorosstores: The usual excuse — do you think advanced countries developed without taxation first?
Something is seriously wrong with these immigrants.
Every year they adjust taxes to continue to provide those services. But you think nigeria must provide the services fiest before taxing. You need your head checked.
And they will go, oh the money will be embezzled, you think there is no corruption in the US or UK? Pay first and demand accountability.
Or we just keep blaming and remain where we are. Pay first then fight later ... Fulfil your end. Nigerians always thinking they are smart. Lolzzz |

RollinTNDA: You are enjoying a system in UK
Ask yourself What sacrifice did the fore fathers of UK fought. The countless wars they fought, the blood they shed fighting against evil kings. ...
And removing evil kings inorder for their young future generation to have good society. These same white people suffered bad government with corruption and injustice.
Instead of them to Japa. They stood together and fought and changed their country for good.
Now you Japa your own country to go and chill in another man country. To enjoy the fruits of their ancestors blood and sweat.
There Ancestors are smiling from the grave seeing their sacrifice didn't go in vain for their future generations.

Buccalcavity2: What is the per capita revenue from oil in gulf countries vs Nigeria? They can afford zero tax but Nigeria cannot! The annoying part is that some are already paying taxes, The majority of which are going to get a relief from this tax law. The main complainers are the people that never paid and are not willing to pay! Its crazy! Make i dey pay tax but you do NOT want to pay because you are in the informal sector! Yet you want to use amenities like me. Anybody complaining about the tax law should get his brain checked! Exactly. Them no wan pay but wan benefit, very anyhow people. Baxilexi: I guess the gulf countries are not working well.
We have natural resources, that if managed properly the government has all that it needs to attend to its duties. Cut down the size of government, adopt fiscal discipline and Nigeria would work with minimal taxation. E easy na , see as mouth dey draw like draw soup. People wey no fit run POS business go dey chuck mouth for government business |
Politics › Re: UK Based Nigerian Explains Why He Prefers Paying Taxes In UK by Fearurcreeator: 8:51pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Baxilexi: The government has lost public trust hence why this new tax law will cause more chaos than praise.
They’ve mismanaged the countries resources, removed all forms of succor and now still wish to pauperize struggling Nigerians.
I would advise that the tax law be suspended till Nigerians can see practical use of our commonwealth, not cars, houses and largesse.
Also, they need to reorganize the tax categories. A Nigerian earning 3 million NGN per annum is poor. That’s less than $2000 USD. Put rent, energy, transportation, fees, healthcare, feeding, personal needs and utilities into the equation and there’s no way the FIRS Boss can justify the taxation. 3m poor for Nigeria, na 100m e for be anini |
