Nope pau toress is not a Spanish lenglet especially the current version, Kounde's better in ball playing, building up from the back and in a high line like you said as Villarreal mostly plays low block but he's also no slouch either, Ask man united and bayern
Only reason I'm not too keen on him is cause he has almost the same profile as Christensen bodywise
I saw both games boss. He is more of a reactionary defender like Lenglet and will suffer in a high line due to lack of pace to recover. Araujo too is reactionary with suspect positioning at times but his pace just makes up for any lapse.

And when I compare him to Lenglet, I don't mean the present bleeped up mentally version. I'm talking about the 18/19 pre anfield Lenglet.

Physical attribute is all he has in common with Christensen and ability on the ball. Christensen reads the game way better and is slightly faster

I'll take Pau Torress over Kounde anyway. Although I like the latter, Pau's ball-playing prowess will also help improve Araujo's playing style and also calm him a little, just like the Puyol/Macherano and Pique combo.
You said your first sentence then go ahead to describe Kounde biggest asset(>>> Pau by the way) as a plus for Torres.

Not to add that Kounde is much more suitable to a team playing high line than torres. Pau torres is basically Lenglet with spanish passport

First 5, episodes 6/10
Finale 3.5/10
And why did she turn to captain marvel in the end
And is marvel creating and avengers rip off called the marvels??
Boss now.. The finale na the best part of the entire series. Solid 7.

That's setting up for Captain marvel 2 movie coming out next year (The marvels)
And she did not 'turn' into captain marvel, it's more of swapping locations. She is wherever Capt. Marvel was. It will be further explained in the movie but I'm thinking Denvers found and activated the second bangle and it's what led to the swap

Big credit to D. Ayton!

This man bet on himself after the Suns stopped contract negotiations last year. He believes he is a max player and is now going to get his max contract. The Suns have no option than match the Pacers offer sheet or lose Ayton for free.

Once again, big credit to Ayton!
This kinda rules out KD to Suns. Is it possible for KD to run it back with the nets?

Like I said if both parties agree it will be paid though it isn't small cash that can be easily paid, Those deferred wages are his own right
Busquets is not to be fully depended on Correct but if FDJ most thought could do so, I don't think the former still be considered at this stage
And fdj can't play as libero when busquets is on the pitch, busquets is the last man in front of the defense, starting our moves from midfield, He was mostly deployed as a B2B under koeman with more freedom to be in the opposition's box especially when we used 3atb
Apart from 2020/2021 FDJ sadly have hardly fit in due to his preferred tactical strength in midfield not being used
We will see at the end of this saga
When koeman played FDJ as a CB In his 3 ATB system. It was the libero role Fdj played in.

He was deployed as a box to box for the rest of koeman stint tho which did not suit him as frenkie strength lies mainly in his ability to carry the ball from deep in midfield and being the first guy to receive the ball from the CBs not roaming the opposition box

Busi is there mainly based on him being the captain.

Okay you're right on coutinho not agreeing, my bad
Fdj has 3 years remaining on his contract and he is due to receive around £4 million of his deferred salaries alongside his normal wages in each of those seasons, It can be paid off once or spread if both parties agree
Xavi is the coach not you nor I, If he decides he wants to use another tactical setup rather than the FDJ-Kessie double pivot system then there's nothing we can do, Both are not even sitting DMs
And his best performance was under Koeman as a b2b midfielder when he mostly used 3atb so what are you saying?
I doubt laporta has any intentions of doing that. All he is seeing is a loophole and he is taking full advantage of it.

We are all watching games correct? We all see how much of a liability Busi defense is.
Kessie has the defensive capability to play in a double pivot bro. That's the key point here.

His role as a libero under koeman is definitely not what the box to box position is.

The B2B is the one he is playing under xavi and most of koeman stint here where he has to make late runs into the box for crosses and cut backs and shit or used as a body upfront to bounce the ball off as koeman did.

Good point.

But lemme ask you..

Do seriously think Barça is ready to minimize busquets' play time for the sake of de Jong or anyone.

Right now Barça sees FDJ as surplus but bùsi is seen as still important..
We should be looking to minimize his playing time. Busquets should not be a major part of the eleven at this stage in his career.

And this is just wrong and will come back to bite us sooner rather than later

Dembele has to now earn those incentives like before, Without that he's earning 6m fixed, Let him reach them first
Don't you know how much a profile like fati would have earned under bartomeu? I literally typed we had to beat off competition from other clubs like man United and psg alongside his agent offering him bigger pay which we could not match but he still stayed cause he wanted to be here
And whether fdj leaves or not his deferred salaries are still separate and valid despite his contract renewal till 2026, They are to be paid alongside his usual salary, loyalty bonuses and other incentives which the club is trying to avoid
Dembele has to be available. Nothing to do with performance. We don't know for how many games but given reports of it being easy to reach. I'm willing to bet it ain't much

Lol. Look at you trying to justify putting an 18 year old on insane wages but almost calling Gavi and Araujo thieves for wanting a bump. That's not how negotiation works bro. We offer what is right without being bullied. That's basically what Barto did with frenkie in the first place and we all criticise him for it. Rightly too.

No. You don't get it. FDJ deferred wages are layered into his contract as salaries. Barça is not paying someone that is not playing for them Shi Shi. He has to be a Barça player to get those wages unless laporta decides to compensate him which is just laughable to think.

Barto restructured his contract so he will the new wages just includes the deferred ones.

Kilishihunter:
And didn't he earn €9m the next season? Whether pique, Alba and busi had similar contracts, All took paycuts bro, Coutinho also did before his move to villa, you can check
Fdj's deferred wages were meant to be added to the initial salary he will get, not lump packed into one, That's why you hear reports of £15-20m being owed to him
Laporta ain't a saint, Agreed and the media have been trying to push him out but for we barca fans who have witnessed this financial rot left behind by his predecessors, Some see this as a necessary evil, Also if FDJ could play single pivot or wasn't giving mixed performances, I'm sure it won't ever get to this stage
Coutinho definitely did not. There conversations but he never agreed. He only agreed to a paycut cause he wanted the villa move.
FDJ deferred wages are spread over the remaining years of his contract. It's not lump packed in one year

Laporta could have tried to engage frenkie in a paycut convo but instead he took the blackmail and character assassination way.

The ironic thing about all this is that busi is basically done and should not be a starter for Barça and we have signed a player in kessie that would have let Barça play the double pivot and maximize frenkie yet we are getting rid of him knowing fully well we will be hustling to replace busi when he leaves us next season.

Kessie - Frenkie double pivot with Pedri as the 10 should have been the way to go but what do know

And the only reason frenkie performance have not been great is cause of the box to box role xavi and koeman has been forcing him into.

He's going to earn 6 million fixed compared to the 11million he was getting, That's 40% bro, When he meets his clauses and obligations in his contract, That's a bonus for him
Like I said before no one foresaw Fati's injury problems being bigger than now but you also can't deny he performs well in at least 70% of the games he plays when fit, Araujo and gavi asked for more, the former was even stated to to have even wanted close to 9m cause of the strong interest he was getting from England
Fdj chose to help the club in our times of need which is noteworthy only to get his wages at a later time when the club recovers fully, And I've not seen Laporta stating anywhere that he won't get his deferred wages, Only thing he's trying to avoid is the future wages which increase every season, I hope you know he's earning €575k weekly while dishing out mixed form
Bro if dembele is available for most of the games next which I believe he will, he is going to earn 11M per year which is definitely not the 40% paycut we were sold. We were not sold incentives.

Again. It's not about his injuries. Putting 17/18 year old Fati on 6.5M per year is setting the wrong precedent. No reliable source said anything about Araujo 9M offer. Infact we don't know how much he was offered. You are just lapping up the laporta kool aid. All we know is that him and Gavi were not happy with Barça's offer and looking at what Fati was earning will make me rethink if I was in Thier situation.

FDJ deferred wages got restructured onto the remaining years on his contract. That's why he is going to be earning so much next season which is why laporta is trying to get rid of him when he could have tried to reason with him to get a reasonable paycut before negotiating and accepting United deal.

Technically Barça don't owe frenkie and will get away with his deferred wages if they manage to sell him now. Frenkie gets nothing but a big giant Bleep you if he leaves this summer. That's the price of helping Barça instead of taking the dembele and Coutinho route and just not give a Bleep.

Lol. Frenkie was on 3M for the 20/21 season. That's basically free bro.
Pique Alba and busi also has similar contracts. There were reports of Pique earning 1M at one point and Barça owing him 50M In wages.

Coutinho only took a paycut when it's was time for him to move to villa.

If the 40% pay cut is bullshit, why does he does he still need incentives to reach his same wages as last season?
Fati is on 6.5m because hes the biggest attacking prospect to have come out in years, Nobody foresaw his injury problems being this big, I hope you also know before he signed that deal psg and other clubs were waiting in the wings to snap him up with better offers, His agent Jorge Mendes tried to ship him until he settled down with us, Does Fati not have a good goal scoring ratio whenever he's fit?
Fdj signed a contract but the club also has to ease the wagebill to execute other operations without much burden so of course the lesser cause has to give
That's not the same bro. 40% wage cut is 40% wage cut. What we got is not 40% wage cut.

Putting Fati on 6.5M and not trying to get him to take wage cut is what's giving birth to Araujo and gavi wanting more money. They see an always injured Fati earning that much, they start thinking.

FDJ chose to help the club in Time of need (dumb on his part) but that's his only crime here.
Now it's time to clear up the back logs and laporta is not only refusing to pay him, he is spoiling his name in the media just to get him out.

Is Gerard Romero the only popular Barca journalist? Wtf are you even saying, Most of you just suddenly even know him cause of the Raphinha news
And was it not just today a fee was agreed with man united finally, FYI the main news leaking currey esp from England is how barca is owing him £20m and "don't want to pay" by forcing him to move which is not true, I'm sure you were present with Laporta when he told Romero to post that too, abi? It's not fdj's fault that he was handed a bogus contract but this is not the same board as before, Most of you just want to chant Broke barka, Poor club but when they're making moves to tone down the wagebill and ease the situation you've suddenly started riding Fdj's cock in a fake show of sympathy
You must Either be a man United or Chelsea fan cause they've been the ones crying the most on FT since morning grin, I'm very sure of that
The only reason FDJ going to be earning that much next season is cause he has been playing for free basically in the past 2 seasons.

That's what laporta won't leak to his cronies.
Barça has been negotiating with United for months now. They could have gone to frenkie before doing all that... But good old laporta went to give ultimatums on TV.. while lacing it with the 'we don't have a choice' company line

This is a top football club that's expected to compete and run sustainably since we don't have wealthy owners, Look at Vardrid they've been acting ruthless and most times without emotion when necessary and today they are the biggest club in Europe in terms of success, What did dembele our top assist player not go through when the season ended and he tried to get bigger pay outside, Today he's come back with a 40% salary reduction, Araujo's demands were dragged for long before he finally signed, If Laporta didn't bend over to sign the CvC deal for the GOAT, then nobody is above anything, Not even Pedri or Fati
Barça health/state over individual wants
The 40% pay cut is bs. Dembele is still earning same wages as last season. They are just incentives which are easy to reach.

Fati is on 6.5M per year for a guy that does not have up to 30 starts in his career. That's insane and awful from the great alemany that they have not gotten him to take a paycut.
Fati is probably the main reason guys like Araujo Gabi think they should be earning more. Gavi last season played way more games than Fati in his career and is still paid way less than Fati

Taking the character assassination route and using the media to blackmail players into doing your will is not ruthless. It's just being a giant asshole

I disagree.

At top level, luck no longer plays any role. Do you know what it means to earn 300k euros weekly? Do you know the amount of effort that goes into being ready for such level?

At that level, everything matters. What you eat, how you eat, how you sleep, when you sleep, your lifestyle, how you train, when you train, where you train. Nothing is left to chance. Nothing like luck. Every little detail has to be taken care of.

Look at Ronaldo and Messi. You think it is luck that kept them at that level for years?
Messi and Ronaldo are anomalies. I think the first injury dembele had in Barça was as a result of negligence on his own part but he has been putting the work since then.

Even mismanagement has played a part in his injuries, I can remember off the top of my head times in which valverde rushed dembele back from an injury (second leg v Lyon), same with koeman all claiming dembele wanted to help. Hell even last season v dynamo (Away), he was still weeks away from full recovery, He was rushed and he suffered a relapse

Even with a change in lifestyle which you mentioned above (which he did), it's still all down to luck. You think he enjoys being out for so long? You think other injury prone professionals are just to lazy to change Thier lifestyle?

Our problem didn't even start because Messi left the club.

In my opinion, i think our problem started because of the players that left the club, the players we sold off.
Barcelona has done a very bad job in selling off their players over the years.
Players that would have really given Barcelona at least one or two UEFA champions league trophy in the last 5 years.

We weren't supposed to sell Semedo.
We weren't supposed to sell Rakitic.
We weren't supposed to sell yerry Mina.
We weren't supposed to sell Alena.
We should have given Paulinho more years in Barcelona.
There Is this young top 9 from Spain, I've forgotten his name.

So many players we shouldn't have sold.
I wonder what bartomeu was thinking.
Bro, Semedo Mina Alena Paco had to walk. No questions. They were all not just good enough. And paulinho is that CM that does nothing a CM do including Defense but provides G/A. I'm not sure that's the kind of player Barça should be looking to keep at the club or even be looking at in the first place sef

Sure na.

But what am trying to figure is whether he is actually the cause of Barca's financial woes.

Were we paying him so much more than he was generating for the club in revenue?

Merchandise, Endorsements, Jerseys, Adverts, Tickets, etc etc
Covid 19 is the main cause of Barça financial woes.
Barça were on the edge with their wage structure but was still generating enough revenue to remain on that edge for a very long time.

The pandemic meant cash was not entering the club for a while during the lockdown while still paying out insane wages which messed up the delicate equilibrium. Even the resumption of football activities was not enough as there was no tourist travels, no fans in stadiums etc which all resulted in where we are today.

None of this would have happened without the pandemic tho. We would have just continued living on the edge
