What's the advantage in this hard economy ?

Y those wire people always assumed that brain box is the cause of every problem in the car. They don't scan and digest the code... Hmm... My own is urs s good don't allow those empty brain to cause u more harm.

Y not scan d car. Don't try to change ur brain box. S 100% ok. Just scan & I will help u out.

Don't u know oraimo product is China products ..what they did is buy China products and crest oraimo on it. If doubt do ur research ... S customised stuff..
So if u want to buy anything, don't go for name because all of them are China products..

Chai...s a shame that All d mechanic & re wire can't pin point the problem. How I wish am close to u. I will help u fix the fuel issue. Chai...

If u have one that give u headache via bad sensor, I will buy it.
But if mechanic and electrical people have mess with the connections by bypassing it & flashing and disable some functions in the ECU... I won't buy it. Volkswagen s very good if u know how to read ohms , resistors & voltage..handle ur multiple meter very well.
I don't see y people always complain about the car.
It has so many safety sensors features which if one spoil or malfunction...
Just read and fix it..
Stop bypassing...
90% Nigeria mechanic or electronic are not upto to really diagnosis such car.
Pls stop the hate about the car...

The one I imported once, clean title, within the few months it stayed before it was sold, I spent over 70% of the import value repairing one electrical gremlin or the other and the person you are recommending handled majority of the fixes

I won't say with full authority that they're all bad cars but my personal experience was terrible and it's not for lack of trying. I visited all the recommended big names in their mechanic village and yet at the end it came to recommendation on engine conversion

Sold the car "as is" at over 50% loss eventually

If u import cheap, I will like to buy from u.. that's the ones with bad sensor..

A nice car but don't buy temper wire own. Mk sure to HV obd2 for scanner and don't allow untrained mechanic to work on it.

Your oxygen sensor s bad... Change it with new one or clean d one u HV. Mk sure the connection r true...

Use digital guage and u will know the main guage.

That CMR LICENCE is very good in terms of many things like ur car was stolen, u can login and flag it stolen. It will be re register again & d car will b ɍcover.
In terms of someone hit u, don't bother chasing d person. Snap d plate no & u will locate d person.. etc...

And it's for that reason of "peace of mind" that folks here do Honda or Toyota. Dont try to be different...its not worth it.

The Passat 2006 also called B6 came at a period Volkswagen (vw) decided to go electronic on many things.

The B6 has electronic parking brakes, electrical power steering and so many more components. All these electrical stuffs fail often and are an headache to replace in Naija.

More so, any vw expert knows vw do not do great auto transmissions. So forget having a reliable suto transmission in any Naija used version.

Another headache is the FSI engine. The Fuel Stratified Injection technology came with many flaws especially when it has clocked many miles.

Well, if you must do a b6 passat, go:

* manual transmission
* N/A engine - 3.6l v6 inmotion engine, 2.5l 5 cylinder engine
* Toks not Naija used.

Volkswagen Passat is a nice car to have if u r into tech & security.
I HV one and am enjoying it more than Toyota.
Is Tru s full of sensors like.. brake pad sensor,sterling sensor,parking sensors, EPC & ETC..
When buying that Passat, b very careful not to buy the one with tempered wire ..
Some Volkswagen mechanic doesn't know what they r doing.
Make sure u HV vcds VAG obd2 scanner.
Am enjoying my very well . No trouble at all..

Well change that one first... If it doesn't, I will tell u d cause...
But u must scan & drop code.

Ur mechanic cause the issue.
1. He suppose 2 ask d previous owner d oil that's inside.
2. He suppose 2 drain all d oil for full day b4 switching to prefer choice of oil
3. Nothing bad for now... U can still fix d ring for that one cylinder..
4. Nice car..nxt time witness what ur mechanic s doing.

My Lexus 400, hybrid, When on D (drive), the car won't accelerate while throttling it, it will be moving slowly. But when shift to R (reverse), the car will move normally and smooth.

Both HV d same market value but b6 Passat look stronger than a5 Jetta...
Compare a5 Jetta to Toyota Corolla while b6 Passat to Camry 2007 to 2010 model...
When buying .. go wit obd2 scanner advance one..
Check gear, throttle, AC clutch, steering angle etc... advance obd2 scanner can achieve that for u.
Avoid cut and join wire...

Sensor s not good to buy used. When buying sensor, make sure u bought original OEM parts with Nos.
Una always buy used sensors forgetting that ohms & voltage laws can't be cheated..

Leave that golf of any model..
Buy Passat with that money.
Get this engine type FSI 1.6 or 1.8.
Don't buy turbo engine..
Chk for wireing harness whether they HV temper wit it or not..
Go with ur obd2 scanner, d one that has bi directional ...
2 scan d transmission & etc..
Chk d underneath of d car.
Chk d exhaust pipe wit ur finger dipping .if u see black smoke stain, d car dey drink fuel..
Volkswagen s not a car u will just wakeup and drive..
