Notified that their service would be a mess for 3 days and you think people wouldn’t have taken out their money last week Friday?

GTB has become a useless bank. Na to withdraw my money as soon as they come back. Their werey charges self no dey help matters. They would still want to remove maintenance fee with no service for the past 5 days.

Where una dey see this money?

Japa da nu. Naira is becoming valueless by the day.

Exchange rate no dey smile. Moving with family is expensive.

Check your junk or spam mailbox. The email could be hiding there.

Good evening everyone, please I need your kindly advice, I was given admission for fall this year but without funding so I defer to fall next year, but the professor I intend to work with message me now if I could make it for Spring 2025 and if visa will be ready by mid January

It’s too late. You would have to pay through your nose to get a date and it’s not Guranteed. I was to go to school in August too. But the date I got was in December. I have deferred till January now. The dates people are seeing on the portal is starting from 2026 for Lagos and 2025 for Abuja

My advice for anyone planning to pay any agent to get a date is to wait for now so as to avoid stories that touch.

I was on the old site too. I reschedule on the new site. It reverted to the date on the old site. In fact there was a man who had booked for he and his wife 2025 and 2026 date on the old system but was able to reschedule to yesterday after signing up on the new system. His appointments have suddenly gone back to the old dates too. He promised to seek redress cos they have wasted his time yesterday.

I secured a visa interview date of Oct 23rd (after the new site was launched). It was Aug 28, 2025 before on the old site but got the Oct 23rd after new site. Now I see that the Aug 28 is back on my profile but I have the appointment letter for Oct 23rd and never received an email of interview date change. Please any advice on what could be going on and if going to the Embassy with the appointment letter for Oct 23rd is not going to be a waste of journey. It's the Abuja location.

You can go if you want. But you wouldn’t be interviewed. Happened to about 100 of us scheduled for yesterday in Lagos. Most of us rescheduled to yesterday but apparently the date had changed since on Tuesday. I saw mine Thursday night but everyone I told said it was a glitch, got to the embassy and waited for 6 hours for them to check their system and find a solution but still didn’t get interviewed. It was really a mess as some people started causing trouble. Some of their officers were accusing people of printing out fake appointments given to them by agents. In the end a consular official addressed us and said we should go that they would investigate and get back to us. I think this AVITS system is really not working well or has been compromised.
