contentEngineer:stop vilifying Iran ignorantly. We need to counter all the misinformation and attempt to project the US as the hero in this conflict. A BREAKDOWN OF THE IRAN Vs US CONFLICTS AND WHAT REALLY HAPPENED: 1. Iran in the early 1950s was a constitutional monarchy which mixed Democracy and Monarchy and had a balance. They had an elected parliament (Majles), political parties, and a prime minister chosen through parliamentary politics until the United States and Britain intervened. In 1951, Mohammad Mosaddegh became Prime Minister. He was widely popular and moved to nationalise Iran’s oil industry, which had been controlled by the British-owned Anglo-Iranian Oil Company. In 1953, the CIA and Britain’s MI6 orchestrated the 1953 Iranian coup d'état, also known as Operation Ajax. The coup removed Mosaddegh from power Strengthened Mohammad Reza Pahlavi who reversed oil nationalisation. The Shah’s Rule from 1953–1979 after the coup, the Shah gradually consolidated power. Political opposition was suppressed Secret police (United States-funded SAVAK) were empowered, elections became controlled, and Iran rapidly became authoritarian. In 1979, mass protests led to the fall of the Shah due to excessive oppression. The revolution brought Ruhollah Khomeini to power and established the Islamic Republic. The new system replaced monarchy with clerical rule under the concept of Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist). 2. After the Islamic Revolution, the US admitted the exiled Shah for medical treatment, which Iranians saw as protecting a tyrant. This directly triggered the US embassy hostage crisis (Iranian response), after which the US severed ties, froze Iranian assets, and imposed initial sanctions marking the start of long-term economic isolation. 3. From 1980–1988 The US provided Saddam Hussein with intelligence, weapons, economic aid, and even overlooked his use of chemical weapons against Iranian troops and civilians (killing hundreds of thousands of Iranians). This was a deliberate proxy effort to weaken post-revolutionary Iran. 4. In 1988 a US warship shot down a civilian Iranian passenger plane over Iranian airspace, killing all 290 people aboard including 66 children. The US called it a "mistake," but awarded the commander a medal. So when unlearned people gaslight you and present whatever the United States is doing in Iran as a gesture of goodwill to its people, this is the sequence of events that led Iran to evolve into a centralised government and has to be militarily strong for its own security. And to protect itself against Western aggression. |

THE U.S. CONGRESS HAS REJECTED DIRECT MILITARY INTERVENTION AS A SOLUTION TO THE INSECURITY BEDEVILING NIGERIA. This decision followed a U.S. congressional delegation’s visit to Nigeria on a fact-finding mission, during which the delegation concluded that insecurity in Nigeria is complex in nature, with both Christians and Muslims affected by violence across the country. At yesterday’s congressional hearing in Washington, D.C., members of the U.S. Congress from both major parties spoke passionately about the situation in Nigeria and ultimately ruled out troop deployment, describing violence against both Muslims and Christians as “unacceptable.” My take: Shame on the enemies of Nigeria who fabricated and submitted biased, twisted, and misleading reports on the insecurity facing our country. Shame on those behind fake reports and the deliberate promotion of falsehoods regarding fictitious claims of ongoing Christian genocidal attacks in Nigeria. Shame on those who knowingly amplified these lies to mislead the international community and tarnish Nigeria’s image. Shame on those behind the fabricated narrative of a so-called “Christian genocide” in Nigeria. Shame on promoters of anti-Fulani rhetoric across the country. Shame on anti-Muslim forces fueling division nationwide. Shame on the enemies of humanity who engage in selective judgment by highlighting Christian killings while ignoring the Muslims who are also being killed across the country Shame on ethno-religious bigots who supported and amplified false narratives against Fulani herders. Shame on fake pastors who exploit the name “Fulani” to manipulate their followers while enriching themselves through tithes, offerings, and so-called seed sowing. Shame on those who anticipated foreign military boots on Nigerian soil. Shame on those who wished destruction and bombings upon the northern region. Shame on hypocrites who ignore the violent activities of the Christian Igbo terrorist group IPOB/ESN while selectively blaming banditry in the North. Shame on figures like Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo and his associates who lead anti-Fulani and anti-Muslim campaigns in the country. Shame on those who celebrate and promote unrepentant ethno-religious bigotry. Shame on fake pastors who have deviated from the biblical teachings of peace, love, forgiveness, and unity, on the pulpit choosing instead to spread hateful sermons against Fulani herders, who are themselves victims of killings in the country. My word of advice: To those who support and peddle lies, falsehoods, hypocrisy, and double standards, it is time for sober reflection. No nation can achieve peace or progress when truth is deliberately sacrificed for propaganda, personal gain, or sectarian interests. False narratives may bring temporary attention, but they ultimately deepen divisions, fuel hatred, and endanger innocent lives. Choose truth over bias, fairness over hypocrisy, and responsibility over sensationalism. Verify facts before spreading claims and reject narratives that demonize entire communities. History will judge not only those who fabricate falsehoods, but also those who knowingly support and amplify them. I hereby conclude by stating that may the satanic intentions of our common enemies—enemies of Nigeria and ethno-religious bigots—continue to hit a dead end and ultimately backfire on them. |
