Instead he left his fulani brothers free including shagari, the president of the corrupt regime. He declared Abacha corrupt free after stealing the country dry with him. Buhari action speaks louder than his words. |

Collynzo9: I will simply quote a post from one of the biggest anti-GEJ of all times. Although he made the post simply for the purpose of turning Igbos against GEJ, but he ended up telling us that the presido was indeed performing.
In addition to the above, GEJ has attracted a lot of investors to Lagos through his automobile and other economic policies. Wonderful Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) ever in the history of Nigeria contributing immensely to the growth of Lagos State Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)
Thou we don't have full knowledge of the allocation of the IGR due to the refusal of the government of APC in Lagos to domesticate the FOI bill in Lagos.

[s] gnykelly: Exclusive: Multi-Billion Dollars Hidden Bank Accounts Of Jonathan’s Minister Of Justice, Bello Adoke www.ireports-ng.com http://ireports-ng.com/wp-content/ uploads/2010/10/ADOKE-san2-450x250.jpg Barely 48 hours after an online publication exposed the sordid details of a N1.2 billion mansion just purchased by President Goodluck Jonathan’s Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo- Iweala,in Maitama area of Abuja, ireports-ng.com has uncovered four secret bank accounts where billions of naira, millions of US dollars and GB pounds are hidden by Nigeria’s present Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mohammed Bello Adoke. Adoke was appointed as Justice Minister by President Jonathan on April 6, 2010 and has since then been enmeshed in various allegations of corruption and providing cover for the corrupt who are facing court trial by withdrawing corruption charges against them. Weeks of underground investigations by ireports- ng.com have however revealed more shocking details about Adoke’s secret bank accounts in the nation’s federal capital territory, Abuja. One of such is an account number 002228052782 at a branch of First City Monument Bank located at Plot 252 Herbert Macaulay Way,Central Area Abuja. In the account is a stunning sum of $16 million US dollars. Further investigations revealed that Adoke is keeping yet another $24 million US dollars in account number 041152000428 with Diamond Bank located at Plot 117 Adetokunbo Ademola Street, Wuse 2 while another 5.3 million Great Britain Pounds is also kept in the same account with Diamond Bank. As if that was not enough, ireports-ng.com also revealed that Nigeria’s Justice Minister operates another secret account with the Ahmadu Bello Way branch of Zenith Bank, Abuja where a whooping sum of N6.2 billion is being kept. Born on September 1st,1963, Adoke was not known for any serious legal practice until he was brought to the limelight in 2010 when he was appointed as Justice Minister by Mr Jonathan. Since then, there has been series of allegations of under the table deals by Mr Adoke using his official position. He has in the last 48 hours issued two statements to threaten protesting Nigerian workers to sack them and charge civil society activists involved in the protests with treason. Last year, an online publication accused Adoke of taking bribes from an arranged sale of moribund NITEL property in Area 11, Abuja and buy back of same from Adoke’s kinsman popularly called Alhaji AA Oil. Adoke’s share of the deal was said to have been diverted to build a massive mansion for him on Gana street, Abuja. Though he denied ownership of the property saying it belongs to AA Oil, finishing works have since stopped on the sprawling property which was being worked on day and night before the scandal broke out. Also last year, a civil society group called Coalition Against Corrupt Leaders,CACOL petitioned Nigeria’s anti-graft police, EFCC to probe allegations that Mr Adoke collected bribes running into over $23 million US dollars from a plea bargain deal he arranged between government and some multinational firms including Siemens, Halliburton and Julius Berger.Ironically, Adoke supervises the EFCC that is supposed to investigate the various corruption allegations against him. It is yet to be seen whether the present head of the agency, Mr Ibrahim Lamorde will have the courage to probe graft allegations against Adoke which his predecessor failed to touch. *ireports-ng.com promises to make this the beginning of series of reports on the sleaze by top officials of the Jonathan’s administration. proxillin: My fellow Yoruba. Let's pipe down. Let's see points in our Igbo brother's arguments. They are right in some ramifications.
Some of them are bigots. Some of them are still making sense.
The big questions we need to ask ourselves is:
Are lagosian getting any benefit from the so called IGR ?
Many bad roads, I don't see any reason why Lagos can't take over electricity and stop relying on FG decision. I can only grade fashola 4/10. Jonathan, 1.3/10
Fashola is no saint I am surprised of the overhyped Fashola being rated as the best governor considering the much fund available at his disposal. I expect by now Lagos would have become the Original MEGA-CITY but what did we get in return? dilapidated classrooms, bad LG & state roads. I expect that by now Lagos State would be independent in the matter of Power Generation and would no longer rely on FG, what we got, nothing. Lagos refusal to domesticate Freedom of Information Bill is undemocratic and unprogressive. All elected position been fixed from Ikoyi have made the elected to be answerable only to the generalissimo and not to the electorate, why? Lagos State and indeed all states been govern by APC should be a role model but we got a deafening noise from Pots calling Kettle black and media propaganda. Nigerians look through the veil and see your real enemy. Shalom! |

proxillin: I don't like to argue much, Cuz I have seen many bigots arguing here.
The only loop hole to this IGR stuff is how funds are managed and looted. Lagos is making money, but how is it managed?
Back to your question,
A scenerio:
People are clamoring for 4th mainland bridge.
Fashola says, Lagos can't afford that huge project, except he borrows money from world bank.
Now if fashola borrow the money for the bridge, it will add to Lagos debt.
In actuality , Lagos needs this bridge to bolster its economy.
You spend to bolster your economy. It is called infrastructural investment ... With respect to all the borrowing so far by Lagos State government, I am yet to see any beneficial project that directly affect the lower-middle class in Lagos positively. 80% of all the hinterlands roads in Lagos are in a sorry state. We read of the debt profile, how huge Lagos IGR is and nothing on ground to support the investment. Lagos is super rich but been run like a privately own business. So unfortunate. |

Lagos still deserve more than fashola.
The IGR is large. I have known this for a long time. Many multinational firms and businesses , transportation e.t.c. God bless you. We demand more from them in respect to the much accrued to them. What did we get ? Flower Planting. |

Buhari is not, has never been, and will never be, a democrat.
Only in Nigeria would a man with his track record, who came to power through a military coup that illegally overthrew a democratic
government, now be acclaimed as a democrat. It is on record that Buhari’s military regime is the only one in Nigeria’s history that failed to
promulgate a programme for return to civilian rule. - F.A |

Former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Malam Nasir El’Rufai, one of those Northerners who deserve to be serious contenders for
the presidency of Nigeria, observed that Buhari remains “perpetually unelectable” as a result of his “insensitivity to Nigeria’s diversity and his
parochial focus.”
This is an elegant way of saying that politically, Buhari has an uncanny tendency to put his foot in his mouth. He talks before
thinking of the political implications of his words. He shoots from the hip - F. Aribisala |

BUHARI REPORT CARD:
In his report card, his first outing gave him - 32.9%,
he repeated the same class and made - 18.72%,
his third attempt, with the hope that he might have learned so much from the previous classes, repeated notes, same Lecturer, he still made - 31.98%;
Whosoever is the head of that school should put Buhari on an academic probation or withdraw from the school and go and find something else to do.
Nigerian electorates have given Buhari a political presidential Yellow Card and he is not accepting the people's verdict and wants to resort into bloody revolution - Prof. Femi Ajayi |
