Jordyntimi: I don’t think so I’m hoping they conduct a draw soon but my concern is my sis has 478 which might be to high for her to be considered, the previous were quite low around 400-350 wow ..."be too high for her to be considered" first time I am hearing this. I did not know this was a thing. |

Jordyntimi: Some gullible folks were insulting me over here few weeks ago about this same issue, I had reported that immigration system will change, the priority will now be domestic draws. I’m currently in Canada and I ask few questions on this thread because it was beneficial to me during my relocation process, I have a kid sister currently schooling in one of the colleges, I wanted her to use to healthcare path way to secure pr, they thought I was been negative, whereas I was just been real, the liberal party lost a bye election recently due to high immigration, Canadians are furious with the current government, with the protest that happened yesterday and with all the complaints they might just bow to the pressure. Change in current immigration policy and reforms coming soon you all should be expectant. Look into provinces that can nominate you, rather than waiting and hoping for general and category draw, be strategic. what about oinp draws for ontario? will that be totally closed to externals? |

aurorae1: The same way you're thinking "make I enter before them lock door", hundreds of thousands are thinking the same. PNPs are so competitive now... And most provinces have scaled down or stopped certain pathways The liberal party will bow to pressure and reduce immigration levels as they're being cooked right now.
Na to find how best to position oneself. Canada will not outrightly stop immigration but a reduction (which must be supported) might happen. Automatically a lot of people will not make it. So take those courses, learn that language, keep working, apply for jobs etc no time to check time o. okay, Thanks. i would have to learn french. Please are there online classes that provides a structured pattern of learning french so i can register? one were i can also meet other students with the same goal as mine. |

Predator188: About 2.5 million temporary residents in canada with limited slots to Permanent resident ..immigration minister/canada wants reduce temporary residents in canada by 5% percent ..and to cap temporary residents arrivals and permanent resident arrivals by fall 2024 and in the next 3years.. Therefore to transition to PR more domestic draws for inland candidates and provinces and territories advised to do the same with their allocations. Instead of bringing more talents outside the country and putting more pressure on housing .... Therefore express entry draws for international candidates is currently not a priority to IRCC, it is paused. And all PNP pool surged... hmmmm..... omoh!... abeg make i enter first before them close door.... this is not funny o....so ontario or Alberta will not give pnp again to people outside? |

jasperonyx: you stated the number you got in their pnp application, I wondered how you did that, I know that one of the requirements for new Brunswick pnp is attending their information session, without it, you won't successfully apply for their pnp.
Except it's changes now i just typed online how to calculate the score and calculated mine. i really dont know much about this process. please how can i go for an information session? |

eniola1010: not worth it in my opinion. i got 8.5 in L, even if i remark and get 9 the point doesnt change as 8.5-9 is same thing in the pool, i got 8 in reading, even if i remark to 9 its same thing in pool, got 8 speaking, even if i remark to 9 its same thing in the pool, i got 7 in W, and if i remark and get 7.5 it adds just 2 mark to my crs score, even if i remark and get 9 it adds same 2 mark to my crs score as 7.5-9 is same thing in the pool, i cant pay 120 pounds for just 2 marks. however, i understand your point. thanks a bunch. i might change from stem to healthcare as 475 exceeds all the previous healthcare score. still weighting my options. ... hmmm ... what about ontario? wont they accept you?.... you score looks good enough for them to accept you. |

tshtsh: The black Nigerians I know in Canada are pretty much well behaved although they all have one or two things in common: 1. Moved to Canada in the last 10-15 years 2. The ones who moved here before 2019 came in on a study visa to pursue a masters degree in a university. 2019 and beyond went in via express entry. They were pretty much young (below 30) masters degree holders with professional jobs in Nigeria before moving (consulting, banking, tech, finance...). They are seating well within the Canadian middle income bracket and doing okay.
Between 2022 and now there have been a lot of student migrants attending colleges and doing different things to survive. Time will tell but for now I hear people complaining about Indians and not about blacks. I hear a lot about them(indians) on canadian tiktok to be honest. i hear things like "they are not hard working", ""they are everywhere" etc the fact that majority of nigerians over there are doing well is a sign of hope to me. if they can survive so can we. |
