I just did the ‘test’. I was asked some personal questions like: “Have i completed NYSC “ “how many years experience “ and all. And that was it. I got a rejection mail from them afterwards. Did anyone experience this. I plan on sending a mail to the recruiting company.

The GT recruitment seems to be on a schedule now. Looking like it's every three years. The EH is often as-needed. With Train 7 in full construction mode, there should be need for EH, so I'd say monitor their career pages.

And yep, there are lots of non-STEM roles in the business.

Part of the NLNG screening includes a Verbal aptitude test. So if you are here and are using "no" instead of "know" and "does" instead of "those", you have already screened yourself out

Nice to see you contributing to this thread, sir. Do you feel that NLNG EH will commence soon citing that it did few weeks after the last GT exercise. Also, do they consider non-STEM roles for EH? Thanks sir

Sincerely speaking, na outdated update I get there, I normally ask my guys when dey get a new job and it's been more than 7 years they got in, so my records are outdated and non of them will open their mouth now

Its recently sir، this new GCEO did the increment, some as high as 50% increment on salary for some and some good allowances though it was backdated but yet the thing come out, coz they have about 6,280 staffs now, and the justification was for them to retain their talents, so the increment is recent sir.

I think the increase was planned and intentional but you never know what will happen but when the situation arises where you need to choose between NDIC and firs please choose NDIC.

I stumbled on this article few days ago where the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Didi Esther Walson-Jack, issued a stern warning to civil servants against engaging in political activities while in service.

According to her, while acknowledging the Supreme Court judgement that permits civil servants to be card-carrying members of political parties to protect their fundamental right of association, she however concluded that this does not permit partisan conduct.

Mrs Walson-Jack stated, “It’s an old judgement, and it is still very much in force.

“But what that judgement said was that civil servants can be card-carrying members of a political party, just so that their fundamental human right of association is not denied. It went on to caution that civil servants must abide by the terms and conditions of their service.

“We all know a civil servant is supposed to be non-political. So your first responsibility is to be neutral, non-political, and do your job.”

She further warned, “You cannot go and be partisan. You serve the government of the day with neutrality. Anything contrary will be dealt with in accordance with the rules and regulations of the public service.”


Now, my question is "how possible is it to be a member of a political party and be non-partisan at the same time?".

Are you not already being partisan by joining a political party? Or will anyone join a political party just to be docile and redundant in political processes?

I am forced to conclude that Mrs Wilfred is either not very intelligent or she is trying to bully and intimidate civil servants from supporting opposition parties under the guise of "You cannot go and be partisan. You serve the government of the day with neutrality. Anything contrary will be dealt with in accordance with the rules and regulations of the public service.”

As at 2020 when I sat for DSS exam in my state, the questions where current affairs. We only used pen in our booklets. There was OBJ and theory sections. For the OBJ, there wasn't options. Some questions I can still remember are: Who is the head of NCDC (National Centre for Disease Control...na Corona virus period), Who is the leader of Afenifere?
For the theory part, we were asked to make a case of the establishment of Amotekun by SW if it is proper despite having different national securities in the country.
Another question: What are the qualities you have that make you the right person for this job?

I passed the exam and was called for an interview the following day. I did well during the interview than everyone else...in fact I was privy to hear about my performance from a source as I was one of the tops in my state. But when it was time to give employment, I was not given.
I could have given out more details, but dem go just arrest me. I no fit do DSS again even if dem dash me.
