Eyewitnesses report that the young girl lost control of the vehicle, veering off the road and hitting pedestrians. Awele, who was set to graduate in November, di£d instantly, while two others sustained severe injuries and are currently battling for their lives in the hospital.

Shockingly, the Yahoo Boy fled the scene, abandoning his girlfriend to face the consequences alone.

When it comes to food items, Yakutsk, Russia is probably the most expensive city in Russia.

Seven hours ahead of Moscow's time zone, eight hours ahead of Nigeria's, logistics of transporting food to Yakutsk adds up to the cost.

Also, at minus 63 degrees Celsius lowest temp. Yakutsk is the coldest city in the world.
Farmers can only farm for about three months a year and livestock's farming requires considerably high amount of energy to maintain temperature requirements.
These factors ensures that food prices remain high in Yakutsk especially in winter. But how expensive are these food items exactly?

One Turkey leg 108 Rubles About 1,550 in naira

0.5 kg Pig meat 227 Rubles About 3,200 in naira

One Whole chicken about 1.5kg 180 Rubles about 2,550 in naira

0.7kg Onions 66 Rubles About 950 naira

1kg Sweet Potatoes 94 Rubles About 1,350 in naira

Note: that Naira/Rubles exchange rate fluctuates between 14 to 14.5 Naira per Ruble

Also, even though these were the costs of these items, the supermarket still gave me a 5% discount on these items because I have a student ID card.

Note that these I purchased these food items in a retail supermarket. Also, things are expensive in Russia right now dues to sanctions which is the irony of the whole thing.

Despite economic issues and sanctions, Russia is still able to provide a quality standard of living to foreigners and their citizens even in a remote city like our Yakutsk.❤️
