Except you're trying to flash something specific- a kernel, modem, etc.
But a ROM is large.
AOSP ROMs are about 150MB and above.
Normal OEM ROMs like Samsung and the rest can be up to 1GB.

yes. The initial ROM was about 1gb.. After extracting its now 26mb.. So I don't know if it's on point or not
