MyExpression: Section 99: Refusal to aid police officer in execution of duty. (1) Where any person is called upon by any police officer to aid or assist him in the execution of his duty in the case of any obstruction to the execution of such duty, or in case of an assault being committed, or attempted, or offered to be committed upon or against such police officer, or any person or property in his charge, or in the case of any person aiding or attempting to aid the escape of any person arrested or in lawful custody, and such person called upon to aid or assist fails to do so, he commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of N100,000 or imprisonment for three months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
(2) Notwithstanding the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, no person shall be compelled to aid or assist a police officer in any manner which may expose him to personal danger or injury.
Lol, Nigerian laws are like pencil and eraser. One sections says one thing and another subsection overrules it.
Don't be moved Mr Soludo. Ten years later when running for president, you will become the best thing that ever happened to mankind. 2012, they were all abusing Peter Obi but today, he is the messiah. That is how easy it is to rewrite history in Nigeria.
aybabz101: These people up north are really a challenge to this country....
They do not see themselves as not part of the country allowing their brothers from Niger and Burkina Faso, who are hardened criminals into the country anyhow....
The south really need to come up with a contingency plan B4 it's too late. These guys are overwhelming us down here.
For real, those uncircumcised northern pigs have to be tamed before things get out of hand in the south.
dealslip: Why is physical child abuse common among many women of SE extraction? For real, it needs to be addressed. Whenever I see or hear a woman physically abused a child, it is often an SE woman. This has nothing to do with tribalism, it is a common occurrence.
You are right. Igbo women and child cruelty are like siamese twins as long as the child is not theirs.
symbianDON: Nigeria is THE ONLY country on earth where citizens are struggling to eat. Even in Yemen and Afghanistan, people eat better. Think about it: protein is practically out of the reach of most Nigerians at the moment. Egg, meat, fish, milk.....all these are luxury these days. No thanks to the avoidable hardship foisted on Nigerians by our current government.
Isn't that a clear sign that our value system is flawed? The people of Yemen and Afghanistan don't prioritize having the latest iphones and luxury cars over their basic needs. Unlike what we have in Nigeria where people walk around with expensive phones, shoes and handbags but have no idea where their next meal is coming from.
Ojuntana: I agree with him on the part that I don't see how the tax bill solves any of our present challenges. Our present challenges are: High unemployment Low income High inflation Low naira value Insecurity High cost of living High transport cost Dwindled economy How does the tax bill solve any of the above?
Common sense tells me that when the docile northern governors wake up and start being productive, the problems you mentioned will all be resolved which is what the tax reform bill is all about. Now tell me. how does maintaining the status quo solve the problem that was created by the system in the first place? Isn't that doing the same thing over and over while expecting a different result?
Streetinvestor2: The North can cry till infinity. The bill has come to stay.i don't know why fgn challenge wike when he wanted states to collect vat in thr state
Peter Obi wants a new Nigeria but keeps bowing down to the same people who laid the foundation for the destruction of the country. This is outright double standard and an insult to the intelligence of the Nigerian people.
Coldrux: See how myopic you are? I sincerely feel for you if you're judging Osinbajo's competence on the basis of not been able to win APC primaries. Do u know how primaries are conducted at all? You obviously do not understand politics of Nigeria
Oga, in a free and fair contest, ATIKU won't beat Osinbajo.
I wonder why you think a man who has never contested or won an election on his own would have been able to defeat Atiku who has a warchest big enough to purchase anything in sight.
Sapeleboy911: Haba bro over 400k minimum wage? The minimum wage is around $7.5 per hour. If that guy is on a minimum wage, he can complain; there are poor people in America, too.
Enbrain21: Sometimes I dy wonder if una dy reason before una write some kind words ? Person recovered some money, una still no believe.
Now lemme ask you, you think say na only one person run the hacking? Omoo these guys are a group, and they are more likely to share the money. So anyone way dem catch dem collect the money from his hands. But I still don't know why the bank no track the funds self. It would have been easier.
Those saying why him no show the face of people that hacked it. Well I think it because it's an ongoing investigation. So police would have told him not to drop so sensitive information now.
Anyway let's see how it goes.
Use your common sense, at least for once. How did the hackers steal the funds? Bank transfer or cash withdrawal? How did VDM recover the N70m? Was it via bank transfer or he got it in cash? These are questions you should be asking and not trying to defend that slowpoke who thinks he is smart because he lives in a mediocre society.
Cyber attack on website but money dissappear from bank account. Nigerians are truly fantastically corrupt. Nigerians only started looking up to this idiot not too long ago thinking he is straightforward and transparent but he has shown his true color just because of N180m. Imagine what he would do if he becomes president.
AfDapone: And they will now be moved from death row section to live imprisonment section where they can continue to maul other inmate, abi? Abeg try check the profile of these convicts in question.
Well that is a normal exercise in American prisons so it won't really make any difference.
