Actually, Gainrecruitment IS the recruitment agency.

We stated "a client", which like you have observed is the norm for recruiters. It is important to first satisfy the criteria of the role at hand and upon further correspondence to be enlightened on the client company (for further research). It is at the agency's discretion... however, we were clear enough to state we were working on a client's behalf - and no use having that first-hand information and not be suitable for the job, which is priority.

He/She's question isn't clear as to whom they are inquiring about (client or representative). And there is no fault here, but if one wants to be taken seriously professionally, they also need to put their best foot forward.

P/S: Just like you were able to, truly intelligent people would decipher necessary information as they need to - which is what we seek in most of our job applicants (notwithstanding, we will not disregard any others).

With all due respect Sir, you should have also stated it categorically in your initial post. You can't expect the individual to decipher that from an email address. We wouldn't know if it was a recruitment agency advertising on your behalf as that was what I even thought initially and that's what seems to be the norm on Nairaland.

I know the individual is wrong to inquire that in the way he did but its not 100% his fault.
