For clarity:
A bag of rice in 2014 was 9k, I can buy 18bags and still have change

A bag of rice in 2025 is 80k, you can only buy 6bags and have some change left

One of the stupider things anybody can do in matters like this is to convert the figures to dollars.

For obvious reasons, it does not make any sense. One of them is that the value of the dollar equivalent is far less abroad than the Naira equivalent is in Nigeria.

This stupid habit of comparing Naira to dollar MUST stop.
