Generaloluseye: when i went for airforce exams in 2012, so,e guys were punished with it. My friend who passed out yesterday even did it for one hour.
NDA drops the standards for Officers training irrespective of wether they train u or not. Some indian generals visited the academy few years ago and saw it wasnt helping the cadets so it was discussed and stoped.Of what benefit is it when junior cadets suffer brain injury and some subsequently transfered to hospitals for treatment?

ajisebioyo1: with the directive from d president i believe the number will increase compared to previous ones. This statement was made by army PRO on may 22 " A highly placed military source, who confided in our correspondent, had said that   President Goodluck Jonathan issued the directive for more recruitment into the army in March after the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen Kenneth Minimah, had briefed him about the operations of the army" with the look of things now, the directives of d president abt recruitment is still going on as he said without any hesitation.
true.i watched it on the news

Guy, I understand ur point in the face of nepotism, godfatherism and mediocrity that has plaqued not only enlistment in the Armed forces but the whole system in our beloved country!
However, I don't knw if u were @kaduna last year but if u were there and very concious of happenings, u would notice a guy who had a Major Gen has his sponsor was one of those that were first evicted courtesy apptitude test in a particular state and also Ondo(my state). D system is changing!
All d best .
well,u said aptitude test and not as a result of unavailability of professional qualification was d candidate screened.

You may be right, but don't forget that computer science is inclusive so what is the relevance of those professional bodies to computer science and how related is computer science to financial management science. Though application is closed but you can call those numbers on the site to authenticate this.

nicago: I want to encourage my peeps here not to give up. The first time I applied for DSSC Army was in 2007 and I've applied to the three services almost every year since then. God crowned my efforts with success in 2013. My first interview invite came in 2011 for the Navy but I missed it as I didn't get the information on time and was not around as at then.
2009, 2010, 2012 I didn't get any but 2013 I got both Army and NAF.

God will see us through the training as well.

Never give up on your dreams, it's the worst thing you can do to yourself. Need I say that I also attempted the NDA Regular Course over 4 years and the best I got then was to be on Reserve list for 53RC who are going to be decorated as Majors this year.

Everyone has his/her time. Try not to miss yours. One can only claim to be lucky when PREPARATION meets OPPORTUNITY.

Trust in God and He will see you through if it is HIS will for you.
Nairaland has been a source encouragement for me.

I thank Mr Seun Osewa and all the mods on this site. Special thanks to those which give us information. Emmanuel4fire, Gambudu, I see you...

God bless us all.

shereef19: I will always appreciate my God for making this shortlist a successful one . to all that even apply that their name is not shortlisted for the screening to the level of people that make it to the stage of facing the board I prays that God will bring a better offer for each and everyone of una. and to us that our names came out is not by our power but God favour. I prays He makes the training an easy task for everyone one of us.s

HND holders are filled with doubts....try to get the past editions of NDA valiant magazines, their you would see pictures and qualifications of HND holders even in marketing passing out of NA ssc and NN dssc.I have all the past and current editions from 2010 till date and HND holders are even much....
so follow the qualification requirements on the NA portal which says Bsc/Hnd are suitable to apply.
Have i cleared your doubts?
