ALMUSTAQIM:
The so-called nationwide strike was so massive that the strikers abi na defenders couldn't post photos across Nigeria on how workers observed the strike.

Another flopped one and a failed coup. When would proxy opposition NLC/TUC just rest and allow the government to focus on delivering much needed dividends of democracy.

Shame on all those who expected the strike to have paralyzed the economy of the country. Shame on the jokers. For more of their jokes, Please text strike to NLC.

Better Nigeria Ahead with his Excellency Bola Tinubu (PBAT2331).

God bless Nigeria

You need to post this thread to the FCT minister. He's the brains and financier of the strike. Maybe he will reply you with a list of his reasons.
Have you seen the Minister of labor and Minister of state for labor release any statement on the strike? They are all in favor of the supposed strike. They don't want Hadiza Bala Usman to continue in her role as chief examiner of ministers. But Wike, especially, wants the president to back off his 25billion Naira largesse from Rivers State.

The Nationwide strike which took effect this morning is not being done to find justice for Ajaero. No, far from it. It is being done, coordinated and financed by the motor park drunk tout from Ikwere. This is his response to the smack down he got from Fubara who is being protected by the president. He also is doing it to prevent his inevitable sack by Hadiza Bala Usman who only recently was made the coordinator and examiner of ministers. The whole idea behind the creation of her office is to map out and perfect a strategy to sack all of the Otueke clown's choice for ministers. Ajaero's strike was about Imo state election, but since that failed, the strike has now being hijacked by TUC president, Osifo, who is a known lapdog for the Ikwere drunk and the Otueke clown. I won't be surprised to hear that the ambush of Ajaero was planned by Osifo and Hope, who work for the Ikwere drunkard association.
Nigerians should ignore the strike and stand with the President, who right now,is a lesser evil.
SAY NO TO IKWERE!
NO TO DRUNKS!
NIGERIANS, GO TO WORK!

Thank you Mr President. I'm just sad that whenever you travel to UK, you will not get to join hands with Suella Braverman. That is so sad. Together the both of you would have made life beautiful for Nigerians in UK. Her successor, that Liberal, James Cleverly, won't understand your passion.

Politics / Saudi Arabia Cancels Visa Of 264 Nigerian Passengers After Arrival by ganisucks(f): 10:51pm On Nov 13, 2023
Authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sunday cancelled the visa of all the 264 passengers who arrived in Jeddah from Nigeria, Daily Trust reports.

It is unclear why the passengers, most of whom were visiting Saudi for Lesser Hajj, were denied entry.

Daily Trust reported that the flight took off from the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos via the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano on Sunday night and landed at King Abdul-Aziz International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

“But to the consternation of the airline staff, the Saudi Arabian authorities announced that all the passengers’ visas had been cancelled.”

The passengers arrived in Jeddah on Air Peace. This is barely one week since Air Peace launched a direct flight to Saudi Arabia.

A source who confirmed the development to Daily Trust said, “The screening of passengers from the MMIA and Kano Airport was thorough and there was no issue with the visas. These were people who were duly issued the visa and they passed through the advanced passenger information system which is accessible to both authorities in Lagos and Jeddah. We are surprised because this cancellation was announced when the flight already landed.

“We are suspecting this is a strategy to frustrate the Nigerian carrier out of the route, some people are definitely not happy with the option Air Peace is providing, the direct flight to Jeddah as against using another foreign airline which attracts higher fares the passengers went through the Advanced Passengers Information System (APIS) during the check-in formalities in Nigeria which was also monitored by the Saudi authorities.”

The newspaper gathered that it was when the Nigerian embassy waded in that Saudi authorities reduced the number of passengers that would be returned to 177 from 264.

As of the time of filing this report, the airline was on its way to Nigeria with the 177 passengers who were denied entry.

Daily Trust reports that before the commencement of direct flights by Air Peace, Saudia, a Saudi Arabian flag carrier, had been operating directly from Nigeria to Saudi Arabia.

Details shortly…

Congrats to Sen Douye Diri for winning a second term in office. I hope you have learnt your lesson. Never again, should you follow the silly steps of a motor park Ikwere drunk who doesn't even know how to tie his shoes, let alone plot political strategies. That clown is already finished politically.
Congrats again to Diri. 4+4.

The Executive Governor of Bayelsa State His Excellency Doye Diri has recently secured the majority votes cast in the Bayelsa State Governorship election held on 11th November 2023.

His victory in the election has enabled him to secure his second term in office as the Governor of Bayelsa State.

In the keenly contested election which came with many delays in announcing the results of the election from the eight LGA in Bayelsa State, Doye emerged victorious and defeated his close political rivalry from the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Senator Doye Diri was first elected in 2020 after Supreme Court declared him the winner of November 2019 Governorship election in Bayelsa State.

In 2023, he contested again as the flag bearer of his political party People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the election and won six out of the eight local government area in the state.

His Excellency Doye Diri a former Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and incumbent Governor of Bayelsa State got 175,196 while his closest opponent Sylva who was a former Governor of the State and Minister got 110,108

After over 48 hours after the Bayelsa governorship election, Governor Douye Diri has clinched a second term in office as the leader of the coastal state.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate fought off his All Progressives Congress (APC) counterpart Timipre Sylva in a fiercely contested exercise in the oil-rich state.

Diri, who came into power in 2020, got a total of 175,196 votes while Sylva polled 110,108 votes. The figures meant the PDP flagbearer beat his closest rival by 65,088 votes.

The Labour Party (LP) scored a total of 905 to come a distant third.

Sylva’s Third Missionary Journey

While 18 candidates vied for the post, Sylva was Diri’s main contender. The immediate past Minister of State for Petroleum was contesting to return as the governor of the South-South state.

He first became a governor from May 2007 to April 2008. Sylva returned as the leader of the state between May 2008 and January 2012.

But his third attempt to become the governor of Bayelsa State was a bumpy ride. About one month before the election, the Federal High Court in Abuja disqualified him from the contest, citing a breach of the 1999 Constitution if he won.

According to Justice Okorowo, since Sylva has served twice and five years as governor of the state, he would breach the 1999 constitution as amended if allowed to contest again.

The judge also declared that Sylva was not qualified to run in the November poll because if he wins and is sworn in, he would spend more than eight years in office as governor of the state.

In the wake of the ruling, INEC delisted him as a contestant for the exercise. But APC and Sylva challenged the judgment with the Appeal Court on October 31, 2023 later reversing Sylva’s disqualification for the poll.

This and more will be the mantra of this government. The government due to it's own corruption and acts of impropriety has no handle on its ministers or officers. What Rawlings did in June 4 1979 should be replicated here. I'm sure the cabal thinks they have a handle on everything and possibly they do. But the truth is that the stain that the man in Aso rock has brought to the country’s perception and idea of democracy can't be washed away by common vote your conscience rigmarole. A French revolution styled putsch is the only way to restore the confidence of the citizens in the illusion of democracy practiced in the Nigerian state. Anything else will be window dressing and will in time be manipulated and hijacked by 5th columnists and foreign desperados. That is my 2cents. I hope someone is listening.

Travel / Germany To Deport 14,000 Nigerians; FG Gives Condition by ganisucks(f): 8:47am On Nov 08, 2023
German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said Garmany is set to deport no fewer than 14, 000 Nigerians who have been residing in the country for some time.

This move according to the German Chancellor has seen a significant number of initial asylum applications from Nigerians in 2023, with a comparatively low recognition rate

Approximately 12,500 Nigerians are in a condition of tolerance in Germany as a result of the Nigerian government’s reluctance to admit people without the necessary identity documents.

Nigeria had long been one of the top 10 countries of origin for German asylum applicants, but recently, the proportion has begun to decline.

But the current spike in Nigerians filing initial asylum claims in 2023 has sparked worries. Nearly 14,000 Nigerians might be deported, and the great majority of them do not have the necessary identification cards.

Nigeria is prepared to welcome them back “as long as they have behaved well,” but only if they stand to gain something from it. Rather, we ought to cease providing the 640 million euros in development funding.

In talks with Nigerian officials, Chancellor Olaf Scholz stressed the importance of working together to resolve the deportation situation. What he said was

“We are prepared to collaborate in order to enhance migration,” the statement stated, adding that Germany would be happy to send back any Nigerian nationals who have behaved well.

Even though Tinubu made a few evasive remarks, he alluded to the potential for cooperation in order to resolve the matter. [/b]

He underlined that the Nigerian government is ready to allow people to return, especially those who are recognised as fellow citizens and have behaved well.

Germany-issued replacement documents are not now accepted by Nigerian authorities. Scholz and Tinabu also talked about this subject. He said a few evasive things during the joint press conference:

We’re prepared to collaborate in order to enhance migration,” he declared. If someone is a compatriot and has “behaved well,” they are willing to accept them back. A Complicated Problem:

The fact that a large number of Nigerians in Germany are about to be deported emphasises the difficulties that both countries in the migration process face.

Three main aspects of this ongoing issue are the acknowledgement of asylum claims, the unavailability of identity documents, and the necessity of cooperation.

It remains to be seen how this scenario develops and what terms will be agreed upon to assist the return of these persons to Nigeria, as both Germany and Nigeria attempt to find common ground on this issue.

Example no 1,055 of why Nigeria has no actual elite to speak of, but rather a bunch of rich dunces who think at the exact same level as your average Rafiu at the mechanic village in Ojokoro:

The Hawker 800XP aircraft with the tail identifier 5N-AMM and serial number 258286 that crash landed in Ibadan with the Minister of Power onboard is operating illegally in Nigeria with the full knowledge and participation of the NCAA.

This aircraft has no permission to operate commercial charter flights as it is registered under a Permit for Non-Commercial Flights (PNCF). This is the permit given to private non-commercial aircraft, and it is cheaper and easier to obtain than a commercial Air Operator Certificate (AOC), because the NCAA rules for private aircraft operation are less stringent than those for commercial aircraft.

Flints Aero Service, the company which operates it, is also operating multiple aircraft under PNCF permission and using them to carry out commercial charter flights. Some of these aircraft include the Hawker 800XP with the tail identifier 5N-ALG and another Hawker 800XP with the tail identifier 5N-AMK.

https://flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/5n-amk
https://flightradar24.com/data/aircraft/5n-alg

PNCF holders don't have to pay the 5% regulatory fees that AOC holders are required to, and the regulatory requirements for pilot training, ground staff training and aircraft maintenance are also less strident because PNCF aircraft are not under any circumstances supposed to carry paying passengers. Senior NCAA personnel (you know yourselves) take a cut of the revenues from these illegal commercial flight operations to keep this whole scam going.

Now a sitting cabinet minister who may or may not know about all this has almost died in an accident on an illegal, unlicensed commercial flight run by his fellow "elite" who was willing to risk his life to save some money, and was enabled by top ranking NCAA staff who will inevitably try to cover this up by hanging the blame entirely on Flints Aero Service.

Honestly, I kind of wish he had died. Maybe only the death of one of their number will force the so-called Nigerian elite to think long and hard about whether running a country in such a disastrously primitive and selfish manner for the sole and exclusive purpose of exploiting everyone and everything for pitiful amounts of profit will work out for everyone *INCLUDING THEMSELVES* in the long run.

A class of moneyed subhumans!
