My analogy misses no point my dear . Remember I said I am the one reading the many books and someone comments on the activity I am involved in.

Because I am emotionally and cognitively sound, there will be no need for me to even admonish the person to desist from saying that cause I clearly know it was not an insult, criticism or reproach. I will just smile and continue reading what I am reading or worst case ask them to lend me their head or brain. I wouldn't also be expecting any apologies to soothe insecurities because I understand context.

I think the thing that irritates me about Aikou is that I genuinely do not see the extraordinary intelligence everybody keeps projecting onto him. He speaks in a very deliberate way, uses big words, likes to intellectualise simple things and people have somehow turned that into Professor. But when I actually watch him in tasks, games, arguments, problem solving, whatever, I’m still waiting for this exceptional brain everybody keeps talking about. Even yesterday with the stomach thing, the smart response was very simple. She told you twice she didn’t like comments about her body. Apologise and move on. Instead he started doing semantics between stomach and belly like he was defending a thesis. That kind of thing does not impress me, it just feels like talking in circles.

And I think Nigerians are especially susceptible to this style of person because we have this old-school idea that intelligence should sound complicated. Plenty grammar, plenty big words, plenty serious cadence, then everybody assumes depth. For me, if you really understand something, you should be able to break it down simply enough that anybody can follow you. Aikou often does the opposite. The language sounds more sophisticated than the actual thought underneath it. Maybe he is intelligent, fine, I’m not saying he is stupid. I just think his reputation has massively outrun what he has actually demonstrated in that house, and I genuinely do not understand why people are so impressed.

Honestly, Faith was ten times smarter than this guy and nobody cared. We have had an actual polymath in Yerins and he was one of the first to be evicted. So why is being vaguely smart something that should impress me?

Some of us like Aikou and it's not cos he is intelligent. So you can question his intelligence all you want

I liked Faith last year, it had little to do with his intelligence

Ricky is different because he comes from an era where you could be straightforward,but you still need to be respectful.

Ricky is brutally honest but not messy. He has been shutting up regarding anything he does with Sheba, it's actually Sheba that has instead been telling their private business to Temi of all people.

Except for when they were beefing, Ricky has never spoken ill about her. She instead has been the one calling him names, but i understand her. She's still a woman afterall, and it was disappointing to see that she was really not cool with Neche, and we know why. Even in bed last Saturday, she was still finding Ricky's mouth regarding Neche. Ricky smartly answered with "Who's Neche, okay the light-skinned former housemate right?". Sheba laughed.

He's not a preacher of Love, but he believes in acts of service. He did promise Sheba he'll take care of her in the house, and now he cooks her meals on request.

So Ricky has given her his respect, attention, care & orgasms. What more can she want?

Tram just talks about sleeping with her and is mad disrespectful. At his age, of course i messed with women way older than me,but i knew never to cross my boundaries with them.

I have too many rascals of his age in my family, so it amuses and irritates me when i see him acting all grown & confident. He doesn't know he's in the same WhatsApp group as Blue, Temi, Neche, & Bells,the only difference being that life will be harder on him as a young man.

Before Nepa did their thing, I saw her explaining the situation to Oyin that Barry is only nice to her because of Neche and doesn't really take her as his friend like she does.

Barry has consistently chosen Aikou for things like this. In most weekly nominations for who to save, Barry has been one of the only housemate who has always chosen Aikou asides Keivo.

And that excuse of Aikou not being strong has always been Barry's excuse for saving Aikou. He used the same excuse in the face to face nomination weeks earlier especially when Tram was dragging him for not being loyal.

He's also always had Aikou's back and its not about the game, at least not to a large extent

Every eviction day throws out what we and the housemates think we know about this game ...the bottom 3 keeps changing like water

I want to believe Barry is smart, so if choosing Aikou cos he believes he is weak purely based on his personality which himself also shares by the way, then he is not as smart as I had credited him

Biggy kept putting all of them up week after week, how is anyone who is smart undermining anyone? At week 9? They should first ponder on who has kept "inactive" Aikou all these weeks

My assessment of Barry is a product of careful analysis of his personality. He appears genuine, but beneath that is someone who's deep into the game with a sharper than razor logic and rationality. I had not watched or read anything before making the post you quoted and if you had scrolled down a bit, you would have seen Harzad corroborate my point. Barry did allude to choosing Aikou based on his perception of how weak he believes Aikou is. To retriate, the safe was not out of love.

I won’t claim my opinion of Aikou is gospel truth, afterall entertainment is subjective. However, based on what we have come to recognise and attribute to entertainment in the context of BBNaija, Aikou is simply the wrong example.

Again, I believe in grace and I believe grace has found Aikou. But grace itself is an unmerited favour. Whether Aikou merits having the larger following is a question with a definite answer.

To paraphrase you: who does their winning help, and why should anyone be pained about someone we will likely never meet? There is nothing to be pained about. I am only analysing him which is the essence of this thread.

I didn't watch this, but I read on Facebook that when Barry had a conversation with Temi about the choice he made and why, he said he want Aikou at the finals and possibly win the show. Did this happen pls?
