A former student of the Yaa Asantewaa Girls Senior High School in Kumasi, Dr Ellen Boakye over the weekend swept 10 awards from the University Of Ghana Medical School.

Dr Ellen Boakye according to her colleagues represented YAGSHS in the days of the National Mathematics and Science Competition and gave off her best.

At the Vice-Chancellor’s Academic Award Ceremony held at the Great Hall of the University of Ghana, a total of 156 awards were given to students who excelled during the 2015/2016 academic year.

Zimbabwe's Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa has been removed from his post, the country's government has announced.

Emmerson Mnangagwa, 75, had displayed "traits of disloyalty", Information Minister Simon Khaya Moyo said.
