Nice thread, there's this product I sourced in Lagos State am selling online with gud profit but my only problem is delivery company, I have more than 5 orders with Ace.ng for port Harcourt it's already 9days now but still on transit and no delivery some customers are already tired of waiting for Thier package. We have personal delivery agents throughout the 36 states of Nigeria with very cheap POD fee. So what you should do is to send your goods through GIG logistic to those personal agents and the personal agents will delivery the goods for you and get the cash transferred to your account while they deduct their commission (all these should happen within 48 hours) I.e if you can't subscribe for GIG's POD plan at the moment, because GIG can handle Paid on delivery services at customer's doorstep and get your cash for you without worries.

Cargo isn't cheap now because it's the only means of shipping as result of aviation lockdown and international flight isn't in service for express shipping.

When aviation lockdown is lifted and express shipping is in service, I believe ports and airlines will make new shipping estimates.

School teaches us CONFIDENCE and the ABILITY TO LEVERAGE/EXPAND our coast of earning in whatever we find ourselves doing.

Whether you’re starting as a beginner or professional, I’ll strongly recommend that you store the goods by yourself (i.e be in possession of the goods) then send the goods to a personal or commercial delivery agent anytime you have an order from a customer, this will drastically cut down expenses and raise profit.


But if you’re pocket Is deep, you can reach the services of any warehouse in Lagos, store your goods and ask the commercial delivery agent to get the goods from the warehouse and deliver to customers anytime you have an order.
In this case, you only work with the commercial delivery agent and you’ll sell your goods without physically seeing or touching it.

SECOND METHOD OF SHIPPING

I. Shipping From Alibaba To Any Post Office Near You

In this case; you go to www. Alibaba .com, search for the product your want to buy, when you see the one that suites your choice, click on it and after it has load, click on chat now to chat with the seller and tell the seller to ship the goods to the nearest post office close to you, then send him the the address of the post office you want to ship your goods to. You can make payment directly on Alibaba using your ATM debit Master/Visa card. But this isn't recommended because there will be delay for your goods to get to Lagos and the security of your goods and money isn't guaranteed, but it actually works.

For instance I want to buy the TLM product as shown in the screenshot below; what I'll do is to chat with the buyer stating my number of order ... Don't always mind the minimum order stated on Alibaba, just chat the seller up through Alibaba app, tell him the number of pieces you want to buy and also the amount you have to buy it; ofcourse you can negotiate on the price with the seller.

II. Shipping From Alibaba To A Reputable Warehouse In China (Recommended)

After you most have negotiated with the seller on Alibaba, pay for the goods on Alibaba and tell the seller to send it to a China warehouse, then send him/her the address of the warehouse which the goods will be sent or better still send the link of the goods on Alibaba to your China shipping agent, so he/she will verify the authenticity of the goods, after which you'll pay for purchasing the goods in their company's Nigeria bank account then the goods will be bought by the agent and shipped to Lagos, in this case; you won't pay for shipping fee until your goods arrives Lagos (this is very recommended).

One can plan order, add logistics address on 1688, while the procument agent only help in payment. This eliminates the amount procument agent charges per link, also one can negotiate price with supplier through the messaging option.

I was talking in general to anyone that want to ship from 1688 but can't come by self procurement on 1688. Since the aim of shipping from 1688 is to finally receive your goods without delay and unnecessary stress, that's why I said it'll be best to use a logistics that guarantees your goods getting to your destination no matter what, and this will keep your mind relaxed esp. when shipping expensive valuables.

Shipping Your Goods Down To Nigeria

Haven searched for the product you want to ship, what you have to do is to copy the link of the product on 1688 and send it to a procurement agent and describe the color, number of pieces and sizes of the product you want to ship for him then the agent will make procurement estimate and send it to you.

It's best to pass through a reliable procurement agent because you can't buy directly on 1688, the website is meant for the Chinese. So only a reliable Chinese procurement agent can make shipping estimations for you then ship the goods to their warehouse in China before sending it down to Lagos. This is why I'll advise you to use a shipping company that has their warehouse in China and also @ Lagos port because it makes shipping flexible and fast. I'll soon introduce you guys to the shipping company I work with.

Hence, haven received your goods estimate from the procurement agent, he/she will send you their company's Nigeria account details where you'll pay in the equivalent amount of Yuan in Naira (w.r.t the number of pieces you wanna ship) to their Nigeria account, then the agent will procure/buy the goods from the seller and forward it to their warehouse in China before shipping it down to Lagos.

So you can confirm why I said you should only work with a shipping company that has a warehouse in China @ Guangyuan.

Ans 1: You can ship now and I've been doing cargo shipping during the lockdown because only cargo shipping is available fro now until lockdown on aviation is eased; and even early this month, some of my students already received their goods ship from 1688.

With ICOM logistics; express shipping takes 2 days to get to Lagos, but 7 to 10 days with cargo. I'll later introduce you guys to the shipping company.

Ans 2: There's a way we direct audience from your Facebook Ads to your WhatsApp DM through your WhatsApp DM link ( I'm going to teach that here). So as soon as customers click on your WhatsApp DM link, it'll take them into your WhatsApp DM where they can inquire more about the product and you make negotiations with them. Some that'll even contact you in your Facebook DM you'll send them you WhatsApp DM link, ask them to click on it and chat you up to make inquiries.

Ans 3: Wow, actually I'm surprised to hear this because it rarely occur. We use courier agents (Paid On Delivery Agents) to deliver the goods and they collect your money for you then send it to your account through transfer. You shouldn't send the goods to customers in any state if an agent won't collect the money on your behave except you happen to get orders in your state and you'll deliver the goods by yourself

How To Know If A Product Is Original On 1688 ( I.e If you're making the real deal)

When you scroll down through the tlm product page on 1688, you'll see something like; Evaluations, Attributions and Specifications

Evaluation: this refers to the reviews customers give after buying and using the product, and it's rated in stars. Sometimes they are 3, 4 or 5 stars. If the stars is 5 you can go ahead and import such product but if it's less than 4, you shouldn't think of importing such product because, you'll probably not have the read deal. Also read what customers said about the product, then ship if you've something encouraging.

The implication is that products having 5 starts have been certified to do well by customers who have already purchased and use them. So the stars tells how much a customer is pleased or unsatisfied about the product.

So the 4 or 5 stars is given as a good review by Chinese customers who have bought and use them and leave a good review to rate their satisfaction with the product.

Attribution: Contains the product properties and details

Specification: Has to do with the product size, color and number of pieces you want to ship. Ofcourse you have to tell your procurement agent all these who will make selections in due course.

Product search on 1688 Method II:


The second method to search for product on 1688 is using pictures.. For instance, I want to search for the tlm product on 1688, I'll first of all take screenshot of the product (tlm) then go to www. 1688 . com (remove the spaces) haven load the site, to to your chrome browser and select desktop view; your browser should appear as shown below:

, then click on the camera icon on the search to select the picture of the product, then allow the site to load after 5 second the result shown below will load on the site .. You can do same for the waist trainer product.
