Pacesetter123:
Did I hear you say nobody is interested in expansion politics?
The way you guys analyze Int'l politics do amaze me atimes.
What do you called 'expansion politics'?
In 1991,USSR was balkanized into 15 countries due to external pressure from Europe and America.
The NATO that was formed for that purpose was made to sign an agreement at Warsaw with Russia that they will not expand to any of the new countries splinted from Russia.
Today, NATO you said are not interested in expansion politics has expanded to almost all the countries formally of Russia in defiance to the earlier agreement they signed with Russia.
Then among the 15 countries splitted from Russia, Ukraine is the only one that is a part of them as majority of the Ukrainians are Russians.
So, Russia pleaded with NATO that they should not attempt to expand further to Ukraine which is Russia itself. That they have already taken every other former Russian territories without Russia fighting with them.
That they should leave Ukraine which is Russia alone. But they refused.
In 2014,they sponsored internal insurrection in Ukraine that ousted an elected president,Victor Yanukovic for being Pro-Russia and installed a Pro-NATO Zelensky.
Zelensky then sponsor a bill in Parliament to obliterate Russian language in schools, and kickstart the process of joining NATO and EU.
Putin warned him.He didn't listen.
And Putin,in an attempt to prevent NATO/EU from surrounding his country and finally attacking them went to war with Ukraine/NATO.

And out of sentiment, you are here saying he acted in a rush.
What rush?
So,to you,he should have waited until his enemy surrounds him before he act, right?

Secondly,NATO taking over former Russian territories against Warsaw Pact and Budapest treaty is not expansion politics to you, right?

NATO, building their military Bases all over the middle east that is not their territory is not an expansion politics to you also?

America attempting to annex Greenland, Mexico and Canada is not an expansion politics , according to you.
Since nobody is interested in expansion politics again.
You try well ..oo!!!
go back and read what I said. Say no to use of illicit substances. NDLEA need to work harder

That is why I have deleted all the TikTok babes on my phone and kept only one babe and that babe has close to 200 videos on my phone. If I could marry her I would in a flash. I downloaded some Nja babe but deleted her videos because I know watching her will reduce intelligence. The problem with having too much quality is you become biased to others. Have you ever seen someone who likes both Ronaldo and Messi ? I like Ronaldo, I like Kylian Mbappe I like Victor Osimhen. What do Kylian Mbappe and Osimhen have in common ? An unwavering love for Cristiano Ronaldo. I'm loving players who have the same traits. We are all like that. Messi can score a trillion goals and I will not shift, Lebron James can score zillion points and I will not praise him. We seem to love people who are like us, more than us or have what we want. We love from inside out.

Stay away from propaganda mainstream media like CNN BBC Sky etc etc .... Their function is not to inform you but to control your mind and feed you a narrative favourable to western countries. That's why people believe western countries are paradises on earth which is FALSE.

Anyway do your research and you'll find out the US has lost the war. If you don't, be patient, it'll become clear in a few weeks time.

But for now, stop arguing.
Omo even CNN, BBC are not on America's side, they are talking to people who are exposing Trump

I said it earlier, they will join in one by one. That means the British base in Cyprus and Diego Garcia is going to be hammered by Iranian and allied drones and missiles. That's if they don't send some to London. If we are not in WWIII already, this is the prequel to it. Most people really don't have an idea how much the world is about to change.
Yup it's going to be global carnage.

We should credit Ukraine for holding out against the almighty Russians for so long. Their resilience and defence against Russia's aggression are commendable.
The fears of Europe is once they took Ukraine they will start taking up other territories of the old USSR and maybe start challenging other European countries Putin handled the whole thing too much in a rush. Fine NATO could have used Ukraine to get to him but other countries near him like Poland are in NATO so that is not still justified. It the same reason why NATO doesn't want to help out with America nobody is interested in expansion politics especially after they wanted to take Greenland.

I am so sure that one self acclaimed city boy is sleeping with her, with a promise of office
I doubt that, She was born into wealth, married more wealth and fame. she was extremely popular on her own without marrying Ojukwu she would still be popular. Ojukwu was a Legendary Mr. Lover man and when women marry what they love they simply keep those memories going. There is no man alive who can replace Ojukwu both in Class and comportment, when you understand that the great novelist Fredrick Forsythe was a major fan of Ojukwu and wrote two books in his honor you understand Ojukwu had fans even some of his mates in the north were his fans. Ojukwu is a Legend and having anything to do with another guy will be seen as a waste if time in her mind.

The Real Soles of Lagos: 29 Shoe Styles Defining Nigeria Heading into 2026

If we're talking about real life, we have to talk about what is actually on the ground right now in Lagos, Abuja, and Port Harcourt—the real brands, the traditional crafts, and the enduring styles that are projecting hard into 2026. Nigerian fashion isn't about made-up concepts; it's about what works, what flexes, and what survives the potholes.

When you walk through the streets of Nigeria today, you aren't just seeing shoes; you're seeing economics, culture, and status. As we move into 2026, the landscape is a mix of global heavyweights and local heritage. If you pay attention, you can count exactly 29 distinct, real-life shoe styles that dominate the wardrobe of the average Nigerian. Let's walk through them, category by category, because each pair tells a true story.

The Sneakerhead Culture
First, you have the youth and the streetwear crowd. Sneakers are currency in Nigeria.

1. Nike Air Force 1 (White): This is the undisputed king. From Victoria Island to Yaba, the crisp white Air Force 1 is the uniform. It's clean, it matches everything, and in 2025, it remains the baseline for looking presentable.

2. Air Jordan Retros (1s and 4s): For the serious collectors, Jordans are investment pieces. Wearing a pair of Jordan 1s signals that you follow global hype and have the money to secure the drop.

3. Adidas Sambas: The trend shifted recently from chunky dad shoes to slim silhouettes. The Samba is now the go-to for the "cool" crowd in Surulere and Ikeja, offering a retro vibe that fits the vintage thrift aesthetic.

4. New Balance 530/550: Comfort meets style. The New Balance runner is for the Nigerian who wants to look trendy but also needs to walk far without sweating. It's the "soft life" sneaker.

5. High-Top Canvas Sneakers (Converse): While leather dominates, the classic Converse All Star high-top remains a staple for the Alté crowd and music artists who want a rocker vibe.

6. Vans Old Skool: Similar to Converse but with that skate culture edge. You'll see these on the feet of creatives and designers who prefer black and white simplicity.

7. Louis Vuitton Trainers: For the ultra-rich, the LV Trainer sneaker is the flex. It's a luxury sneaker that costs more than a used car, worn to show that money is no object.

8. Gucci Ace Sneakers: Another luxury staple, often seen with the green and red stripe. It's the bridge between corporate money and street style.

The Slide and Comfort Economy
Nigerians love comfort, especially given the heat and the traffic.

9. Yeezy Slides: Even with the controversy surrounding the brand, the foam slide silhouette is everywhere. They are durable, water-resistant, and perfect for quick trips to the shop.

10. Crocs Classic Clogs: Love them or hate them, Crocs have taken over. Nurses, chefs, and students wear them for the comfort. In 2025, the customized Jibbitz on Crocs are a form of self-expression.

11. Luxury Brand Slides (Versace/Prada): For the poolside flex in Lekki Phase 1. These rubber slides with the big logo across the strap are status symbols for the wealthy relaxing at home or the beach.

12. Rubber Flip-Flops (Local Brands): Let's be real. Most Nigerians own a pair of durable rubber slippers from brands like Chioma or generic market versions. These are the true workhorses for inside the house or quick errands.

The Traditional and Heritage Wear
You cannot talk about Nigerian shoes without talking about culture. These styles are timeless and will definitely be strong in 2025.

13. Hausa Leather Sandals: Intricately stitched leather sandals from the North. They are breathable, durable, and often worn with flowing Agbada. They represent Northern heritage and craftsmanship.

14. Yoruba Abada Sandals: Similar to the Hausa style but with distinct weaving patterns popular in the Southwest. Often worn during traditional weddings.

15. Modernized Igbo Opanka: The traditional wooden sole sandal has been updated with leather straps and cushioning. It's a pride piece worn during cultural festivals.

16. Bespoke Cobblers (Custom Leather): Nigeria has a massive industry of local shoemakers in Idumota and Ariaria. Custom-made leather loafers fitted exactly to your foot are a huge style for men who want uniqueness without the international brand tag.

17. Embroidered Babouche: Influenced by North African trade, these pointed leather slippers are gaining traction among the fashion-forward crowd for lounge wear.

The Corporate and Formal Grind
Nigeria is a place of business, and the office dress code is strict.

18. Corporate Oxford Shoes: The black, lace-up leather shoe. This is the uniform for bankers, lawyers, and civil servants. In 2025, the shine on these shoes still determines how serious you are taken.

19. Derby Shoes: Slightly less formal than the Oxford, with open lacing. Popular among mid-level managers who want comfort during long office hours.

20. Monk Strap Shoes: For the executive who wants to stand out. The buckle detail adds a touch of flair to the standard suit ensemble.

21. Church Polish Shoes: Specific to Sundays. These are black leather shoes maintained with religious fervor. No scuffs allowed. They represent respect for the sanctuary.

22. Gucci Horsebit Loafers: The ultimate corporate flex. Worn by bosses who don't need to tie laces. It says, "I own the company."

The Ladies' Collection
Nigerian women drive the fashion industry, and their shoe game is aggressive.

23. Stiletto Pumps: The standard high heel for weddings and parties. Thin heel, high arch, designed to make the legs look long in an Aso-Ebi gown.

24. Block Heel Sandals: The practical party shoe. When the dancefloor opens up, ladies switch to block heels for stability. You can Shaku Shaku in these without breaking an ankle.

25. Strappy Gladiator Sandals: Wrapping up the leg, these are popular for evening events and dinners. They add drama to simple dresses.

26. Ballet Flats: For the corporate woman who wants femininity without the pain. These are seeing a resurgence in 2026 office wear.

27. Knee-High Boots: Once rare due to the heat, these are now fashion statements for the cooler months or air-conditioned events. They signal high fashion and edge.

28. Slide Mules: The hybrid of the slipper and the heel. Easy to put on, stylish enough for a brunch in Ikoyi.

29. Sneaker-Heels: A niche but real category. Wedges or heels built onto a sneaker sole. It's for the woman who wants height but refuses to sacrifice comfort entirely.

The Reality of the Scene
So, there you have it. These aren't made-up names like "Danfo-Ready Slip-Ons." These are the 29 real-life shoe styles you will actually see on the feet of Nigerians as we move through 2026 From the Nike Air Force 1 that survives the dust to the Hausa Leather Sandals that honor history, each pair has a place.

The beauty of Nigerian footwear culture is the mix. You might see a guy wearing a traditional Agbada with Nike Air Force 1s. You might see a lady in a corporate suit wearing Crocs on her commute before switching to Stilettos at the office. It's this adaptability that defines the style. We take global trends like the Adidas Samba and make them our own. We take local crafts like the Bespoke Cobbler leather and elevate them to luxury status.

In 2026, the shoe game in Nigeria isn't about following one rule. It's about having the right tool for the environment. Whether it's the Rubber Flip-Flop for the rain, the Oxford Shoe for the boardroom, or the Jordan Retro for the street, the variety is massive. It's a reflection of a people who are global citizens but deeply rooted in their own soil. So next time you're in Lagos, look down. You won't see fake concepts; you'll see these 29 real styles walking tall, proving that while the trends change, the style remains permanent.
Now you are talking

If he likes let him protest with all his family members from now till 2030, ibos will still show him how inconsequential he is to them. If he thinks they will abandon Obi their tribal messiah and support an outsider like him. He's in for a big shock.

These content makers be making videos of people and using it as content that generates traffic and pay outs for them.

It should be N1B
In a more advanced country everyone knows you cannot record people in public spaces without their permission talk less of recording and hosting online. Look at how that Russian guy recorded himself with Ghanaian women and posted online, that was sheer madness. Because he bought them some drinks he thought he had bought publishing rights.

if you want to secretly record it only you should know about it. Puff Daddy recorded people having sex in his parties and nobody knew about it he never blackmailed them or put the videos on the internet, that is as far as you can go.

You cannot even record people secretly abroad talk less of putting those videos on the internet

Foreign AffairsRe: I Will Have The Honor Of Taking Cuba, I'll Do Anything With It - Trump (Video) by Giigglee: 9:59am On Mar 17
HelipsTech:
Trump is not the first president to do a second term. 2 term presidency did not start in today's America.

Trump has always maintain his stance on Iran from first tenure. He killed the IRGC General, Gen Quassim Soleimani in a precision strike in his first term. So he has always been like that.

It is simple, Trump and other past POTUS, are not your regular Nigerian President, who only knows how to give prepared speeches and direct the military after every attack. They are proactive, if you threaten them, as Iran did, they go after you, so you don't have the chance to carry out your threat. This is the reason you think, Trump is a war monger. Iran chants death to Isreal, Death to America, your regular president will throw away caution until there is another 9/11. But America will never allow that.

2term presidency is a constitutional matter, and does not determine the efficacy of democracy. The major pillars of democracy is Rule of Law, Human Rights etc.

Trump will never go after the citizens of Cuba or strike citizens, he goes after those corrupt, politicians, holding the country to ransom, he installs an ally, both country benefits.

Enough of all this hate, and unnecessary cry about Trump. He is doing the Lord's Work
Did I say Trump was the first ? What I am saying the flawed Democracy of America produced this Trump.

Which work of God is He doing ?

Matthew 5 : 9 " Blessed are the Peace makers for they shall be called the Sons of God "
