i am not going to sit here and insult everyone’s intelligence and effort by saying everyone is going to be able to pull off a six pack in one month. One month is not long enough for some people because there are many factors that go into fat loss. Genetics, current weight, current diet, injuries, etc. But, there is not a doubt in my mind that almost anyone could have a six pack. If you exercise regularly and you eat somewhat healthy, have an injury free body that only carries a small spare tire and can be pushed hard, it is definitely possible for you to make your abs pop with a month’s notice. The way is simple but it requires some discipline and hard work click the link below to see how it goes like this: http://www.gistpalace.com/index.php/2016/03/13/how-to-get-a-six-pack-in-one-month/

Most people don’t know enough about money. A recent Ph.D told me his story: “Daniel, I’m 30 and I’ve been going to school for 25 years total. I never learned about money until I had to pay my debt. With my combined college and credit card debts, I’m paying a little over $2,000 per month. I thought my college degree would get me out of the rat race. Sure, I have a $100,000 per year job, but how can I ever have financial freedom?” Imagine that: A Ph.D cannot enjoy his money until he pays his debts off by age 35! Most of the times, we never really learn any practical tips about money from society. Our parents, teachers, and bosses have failed to teach us these basic precepts that we need to live a successful life. We end up getting stuck with our money, guessing our way through our financial debacles. On television, the pundits show the stock markets. They float around unfamiliar terms that the majority of people would never bother understanding. Other times, we hear about retirement plans, which means nothing to the average millennial. Becoming rich seems to be an impossibility because there are no practical teachings in our educational systems. What must we do is understand how our personal finances really work, but we cannot do it by evading the entire topic. Obviously, there’s a deep need for educational reform in this area. If you’re looking to learn more about personal finances, click the link below to read the 5 secrets most people don’t know about money: www.gistpalace.com/index.php/2016/01/29/5-secrets-most-people-dont-know-about-money/ |

Most entrepreneurs are cut from the same ambitious, risk-taking cloth. Foregoing the stability of a 9-to-5 job is certainly not for everyone. If you own a business or are thinking about creating one, you’re probably curious about what sets entrepreneurs apart from everyone else. Below are five traits that typically unite entrepreneurs. 1. Your business is your dream. For many people, simply having a rewarding job is enough. Some of the most ambitious individuals, men and women intent on reaching the top of their chosen fields, aren’t necessarily entrepreneurial-minded. There’s nothing wrong with craving the stability that comes from working for someone else. But to be an entrepreneur, the motivation needs to come from within. Creating something from scratch requires unwavering belief in yourself and your business. Your goals for your business and your dreams for your life need to be, if not one and the same, then intertwined. Otherwise, it’s hard to find the will to keep going when the going gets tough. 2. You create an opportunity to fill a need. Entrepreneurs often choose their ventures based on a personal experience or need. Jim Bizily, the owner of park city rental properties, is a great example of this. When Bizily was a San Diego resident, he frequently vacationed in Park City, Utah. During his visits, he found himself dissatisfied with the services offered by the property management companies in town. Instead of remaining unhappy with the situation as it was, Bizily chose to relocate to Park City and create a property rental company that far surpassed any of the existing local options. When most people encounter a problem on this scale, they shrug their shoulders. Entrepreneurial-minded individuals, however, will search for a solution. 1. Reading can improve brain function Believe it or not, psychology Today reports that approximately 42% of college graduates will never read a book again after graduating, but regular reading can have a positive impact on brain function. A research study conducted at Emory University that examined the correlation between brain function and reading a novel found that FMRI scans of study participants who read Robert Harris’sPompeii showed “heightened connectivity in the left temporal cortex, an area of the brain associated with receptivity for language.” The Daily mail also reports that reading can help to slow memory decline. The brain, like the rest of the body, requires exercise to remain agile and alert, and reading can help to increase focus and concentration. 2. Reading can improve empathy According to the same article in Psychology Today, those who read regularly report an increased ability to step into someone else’s shoes and experience the world through alternative points of view. Books are portals into other worlds and other times, both real and fictional. We can’t, for instance, take a trip in a time machine back to Victorian London, but we can read Charles Dickens’s Oliver Twist and experience a realistic account of orphan life during that period as only Dickens can tell it. Do you think you’re eating healthy foods just because you’re choosing the salad option over the burger? Well, as healthy as those leafy greens are, the dressing and additives in it could be sabotaging your attempts toward a healthier diet. With as hectic as life is these days, the last thing you need to be doing is sifting through long lists of ingredients trying to figure out what is good for you and what isn’t. By sticking to simple healthy choices and avoiding the so called healthy foods below, you’ll find yourself feeling healthier and happier in no time. 1. Juice It comes from a fruit so it must be healthy, right? Wrong. By the time juice is processed and filled with sugar, additives, and artificial coloring, there is very often little actual fruit left. While fancy advertising of people picking fresh fruit off of trees leads you to believe that you’re putting the same fruit into your body, you’re not. Imagine mixing a cup of water with half a cup of sugar, some food coloring, and a few drops of juice from a fruit. This is what you are actually drinking. To get the benefits of fruit without downing glasses of sugar, eat the whole fruit instead. Craving a glass of OJ? Eat an orange. Have apple juice on the mind? Eat an apple. It’s that simple. The fruit in its original form is not only healthier, it will also leave you feeling satisfied much longer than a liquid cup of sugar. 2. Salad If you’re whipping up a big bowl of salad at home, you can monitor exactly what’s going into the bowl and ensure it’s full of only the freshest good-for-you ingredients. Salad gets tricky; however, when you order it from a restaurant. The nutrient rich lettuce and vegetables are often covered in high fat and sugar dressings, not to mention the sugar coated nuts, fruits, and croutons that are sprinkled on top. For a salad your body will thank you for, stick to the basics. Throw together a big bowl of your favorite lettuce and top it with fresh veggies of your choice. Sprinkle on a low sugar balsamic dressing and enjoy 3. Wheat Bread With labels like “Whole Grain” and “Harvest Wheat”, this popular food item can be seen getting consumed in almost every restaurant and house across the country. We’re easily led into believing that wheat bread is good for us because it has beneficial ingredients like fiber; however, added wheat can have a host of negative effects on the body. Most wheat bread is made with refined ingredients, which means they have been stripped of most of their nutritional value. Therefor, instead of consuming heart healthy whole grains, you’re actually filling yourself with unnecessary sugar and processed down ingredients. 4. Cereal Packed with sugar, artificial ingredients, enhanced flavors, and grains that have been refined and processed, cereal is not (despite what marketing wants you to believe) healthy. Not only does it fill you will less than beneficial ingredients cereal also often leaves you feeling hungry just an hour after you have consumed it. When your body doesn’t get the nutrients it needs, it will beg for more, regardless of the calories you have already consumed To set yourself up right for the day, whip up some protein rich eggs or fill a bowl with heart healthy oatmeal. Your stomach will be full and your body will be energized from the nutrient rich meal. 5. Granola Bars Whether eating for breakfast or grabbing as a snack on the go, granola bars have often been America’s go-to “healthy” food in the form of a bar. The problem is that the good-for-yougranola has been stripped of most of its nutrients during processing and in the good stuff’s place, sugar has been added instead. Low in fiber and high in trans fats, granola bars should be viewed more like a sugar-laden dessert than a beneficial breakfast or snack. If you’re a granola lover and don’t want to cut it out of your diet completely, buy plain granola with no additives and enjoy it over oatmeal or mixed in with a bowl of fresh fruit. 6. Sports Drinks Runners drink it and so should you, right? Not necessarily. While these drinks are marketed as healthy, many of them are filled to the brim with sugar, corn syrup, and artificial food coloring. Some of the ingredients (such as brominated vegetable oil) are so questionable that they are prohibited in other countries. The citric acid in sports drinks has been shown not only to stain teeth, but to also cause unnecessary wear on their enamel. If you’re looking for a drink that will offer more nutrients than water, whip up a mug of warm water and add a tablespoon of honey, lemon juice, and a pinch of Himalayan Sea Salt. Packed with nutrients, it will replenish any lost electrolytes without negatively impacting your health. 7. Low-Fat Yogurt It’s low in calories and fat, so it can seem pretty appealing, but low-fat yogurt actually contains a dirty little secret (or two). While plain and Greek yogurts boast amazing benefits due to their high calcium and probiotic content, their low calorie counterparts sabotage the nutrients found within. To replace the flavor lost by removing the product’s fat, additives such as corn starch and artificial sweeteners are put into the yogurt. These things, in addition to all the preservatives and artificial coloring, can have a detrimental impact on one’s attempt at staying healthy. Stick with full fat yogurt that contains few simple ingredients. Your body will thank you. 8. Packaged Turkey An excellent source of lean protein, turkey is a fantastic choice for lunch or dinner. The problem with packaged turkey is that it is loaded with sodium. To help keep it fresh, a 2 ounce serving of packaged turkey can contain up to one-third the amount of the recommended daily sodium intake. That’s a lot! To keep your health on track, opt for fresh slices or pieces of turkey. Roast your own turkey at home. If you’re in a bind, pick up a prepared turkey at the grocery store, just make sure it has less than 350 milligrams of sodium per serving. 9. Dried Cranberries Who doesn’t love a handful of cranberries in the afternoon? They are an especially enjoyable snack when mixed with almonds or nuts. Dried cranberries are most often sweetened with sugar. Even if they don’t have added sugar, because they are reduced in size, they aren’t as filling. This can lead to consuming even more calories. If you can’t stomach the bitterness of fresh cranberries by themselves, try adding them to a fruit salad. You’ll end your snack session feeling full – of nutrients, not wasted calories. 10. Protein Powders We can all agree that adding healthy protein to your diet is a good thing. Fresh sources like eggs, nuts and meats are great. However, there is such a thing as too much protein. It can have detrimental effects on your kidneys and liver. Protein powders boast their high amounts of protein, when in fact the high amounts may actually be too much. The average person only needs 50-100 grams of protein per day, which is easily consumable via regular meals, drinks, and snacks. Adding in protein powder could overload your system with too much protein (not to mention all the refined ingredients that goes along with it). Do your liver and kidneys a favor and pass by the big tubs of powder the next time you’re out shopping. Conclusion You are what you eat, so to be healthy, you have to eat healthy. Remember, good eating doesn’t have to be work. Choose simple ingredients and foods closest to their original form. Your body will thank you! http://www.gistpalace.com/index.php/2016/02/13/10-healthy-foods-that-are-actually-not-healthy/

There are many definitions of what it means to be rich. Being rich is more of a state of mind than a dollar amount. Truthfully, the rich can be poor and the poor can be rich. For example, being rich could be a family of five who lovingly share their small piece of bread in a third-world country. Conversely, another family of five may live in a 12-bedroom home and still have strife over an unlimited first-class feast! Moreover, being rich is really about having it all. It would be ideal to have a combination of the aforementioned situations: the happy family enjoying a delectable meal in the big house — and it is possible. However, to achieve this kind of wealth, along with financial freedom, personal peace and happiness, you must get committed to it. You must also be able to enjoy your wealth. Some people put in a hundred hours per week with work but completely neglect their families in the process. Others focus on their family so much that they never really get busy at work because of their obligations. Obviously, achieving a sense of balance will allow you to possess true wealth and also be able to enjoy it. If you’re looking to have it all in life, here are the only five ways you can become rich: 1. Adopt the Producer Mentality You must make a major shift from being a consumer to producer. Here are some examples: consumers eat pizza, producers make pizza; consumers watch movies, producers make movies; consumers search for jobs, producers provide jobs. Every millionaire is a producer. Only producers get rich. The overarching goal of a producer is not to eat, but to feed people. Obviously, producers must consume at some point, but it isn’t their primary goal. Instead of seeking their next meal, they’re more interested in providing the next meal for someone else, knowing that they will have the chance to eat in the process. Whether these producers are providing heart surgeries, writing best-selling books, or building skyscrapers, they’ve learned how to create products and services to help those around them. If you study millionaires closely, you’ll find that nearly all them provide a valuable product or service to millions of people. When you adopt a producer mentality, you will become wealthy, too. 2. Know Your Daily Rate How much are you worth per day? Have you calculated your daily worth? $100? $500? $1,000? There are approximately 250 working days in a year. Do you know what it would take to be a millionaire? If you earned $4,000 per day, you would reach the million-dollar mark each year. If you’re earning $100 per day, you should try to double it. Just imagine, if you did twice as much, you would earn twice as much! For instance, when I first started my business, I was worth about $200 per day. Since I didn’t want to stay at that number, I sought better ways to improve myself for my clients, which gave me a tremendous boost of income. What are you doing to improve your daily rate? If you’re searching for a new job, send out twice as many resumes. If you’re making 10 sales calls per day, double your number of calls to 20. If you’re babysitting one child, find a way to multiply your results by opening up a day-care for 50 kids. Of course, it would be best to maintain or increase your quality of work as you pursue these endeavors. “Success is getting what you want. Happiness is wanting what you get.” – Dale Carnegie 3. Sacrifice Everything The great majority of people are afraid to make sacrifices because they think they’ll lose something. The single mother won’t buy a $20 book that will help her earn $20,000 extra dollars. She’s the same mother who’s afraid of the cost, but still would buy a video game for her son to make him happy. Before you become rich, you must become poor. Besides lottery winners and heirs who receive hefty inheritances, you must be willing to pay the price and sacrifice everything. You must be able to handle the worst if you want to expect the best. There will be many times where you’ll have to delay gratification to focus on a bigger goal, which is always worth it in the end. To approach a risk more judiciously, ask yourself two questions: “What’s the worst thing that can happen if I take this risk?” Then ask yourself, “What’s the best thing that can happen?” Usually, you’ll find that the only reason that you wouldn’t take a major risk is because money is involved. However, you should be able to sacrifice everything to become immensely rich, even if it’s your last dollar. 4. Only Do Wealthy Activities The number one wealth killer is when a person of promise hangs out in places of poverty. Many times, people put themselves in poor places, which surrounds them with poor people. Get away from poor places if you want to avoid poor people. Dwelling along with poor people in poor places will never make you rich. When I was a teenager, I used to play basketball with negative people in negative places. I constantly witnessed smoking, cursing, and other disrespectful behaviors every moment of the game. Even though I didn’t partake in their antics, I was still a product of my environment, which deeply affected my general performance in life. Many people tolerate negative conditions like this. They don’t realize how much the subtle influence of gossip, violence, and drama impacts them. Moreover, if you’re not on prosperity, your in poverty. Find out how you can partake in wealthy activities. For me, instead of playing basketball, I started visiting luxury homes and car dealerships. It changed my life. 5. Use Your Gifts Everyone is naturally gifted. Some people have many gifts, while others only have one. Nonetheless, you must realize your gifts and use them. Many times, people will downplay their gifts and even allow others to do it. However, you should cultivate your gifts and surround yourself with people who support it. Finding your talents, skills, gifts, and abilities may not always be apparent. Since schools, workplaces, and religious institutions seldom encourage people to use their gifts, many people end up forfeiting them because of the financial and social pressures in our enormity of conformity. These pressures reduce the human soul to settle for “fitting in” rather than “standing out.” However, at the end of your life, you will be held accountable for how you use your gifts. For me, I personally always wanted to tell my story. However, I didn’t know how to go about it. Eventually, I started to write articles and give speeches free. Because of this, I’ve been able to reach millions of people, despite the fact that I failed numerous English classes in school. The more you use you gifts, the happier and wealthier you’ll be. Your gifts will make room for you. Money is being printed constantly for you right now. Make sure you take hold of yours today. Money is the tool that allows you to become more of who you are. Stop ‘surviving’ and start ‘thriving’.There are many virtues in being rich. Be prepared to receive better homes, cars, clothes, food, and friends. You will receive much power when you commit to your wealth!

Are you scrambling to find a peaceful moment in the day when you can put your feet up and relax? Are you rushed, stressed out and ready to call it quits. Why is that so? Who is responsible for it? Why have we made it so difficult? The solution is simple: simply your life. It’s the implementation part that is hard, but here are my top tips to help with that: 1. Believe in yourself , but be aware of your limitations The first step to accomplishing all your goals and making your dreams come true starts with this simple realisation that you are human: you are not perfect and you can’t do everything alone. Always keep things realistic. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself that you find it hard to move; trust yourself to deliver what you need to, but also be prepared to cut yourself some slack. * Own up when you make a mistake * Set goals, and enjoy the journey 2. De-clutter & simplify You have a thousand different things screaming for attention: you have to tidy up the kids’ room again; you have to do the dishes and laundry; and the never-ending household chores are waiting. You have to organize your calendar and make room for more appointments; make time to socialise; help the kids with homework; and make a gazillion school runs. Don’t even get started on what needs to be done at the office. Let’s get one thing straight—you cannot accomplish anything unless you get yourself some of the clarity that comes from creating space in your life, in your relationships and your environment. You need to reduce, cut back, simplify—Only then will you stop the feeling of being overwhelmed and rushed. * Give anything you haven’t used for the * past 3 years to charity * Get organized Enjoy the concept of enjoying without owing, and appreciating without acquiring. 3. Use everything in moderation This is something I live by, be it work, socializing, family commitments, overeating, shopping, or watching too much TV—it helps with every single thing. Embrace the philosophy of “having enough”: there’s no need to go to extremes, so exercise common sense and learn to curb any obsessive behaviour. * Spend less money than you make * Watch your diet * Watch less TV 4. Keep things in perspective I admit there will be times when nothing will go your way, and you will find yourself fighting battles, fixing problems and minimizing damage all day long. We all have those days, and it is too easy to get caught up in the drama. Get a handle on things: this, too, shall pass. Your child will get better soon, the noisy neighbourhood parties will end, your backstabbing colleague will get transferred (we can hope, can’t we?), and there will be actual days where you tick off all the items on your to-do list. * Don’t sweat the small stuff * Have an open mind 5. Treat others how they want to be treated You might end up getting in trouble if you try treating others how you want to be treated, instead of how they would like you to treat them. For instance, if you are not a phone person, you might not call your friend because you assume that they feel the same way you do, which may not be the case. Try to be sensitive to the needs of others, and occasionally going out of your way to do something for them. * Try not to judge * Be generous; try to do something nice * for somebody on a regular basis 6. Family first My priority is my family, and I left work to start my own freelancing career for the flexible hours it gives. That doesn’t mean that my work is not important—it just means that I have to operate in a way that works for me and my family. How important is it to you that you spend time with your family? Are you making sure that your work doesn’t prevent you from doing just that? What sort of arrangements have you made to make it happen? You don’t have to stop living your life for your family members, but you’ll feel far less guilt if you prioritise and make time for them. 7. Pay attention to the moment Stop thinking about what happened in the past, or worry about what might happen in the future. Live in the moment and learn to savour each one. 8. Have a positive mindset You are what you think all day long. If you have nothing but negative thoughts racing through your ahead, then that’s what you are going to get, so try shifting to a more positive outlook on life. You will be surprised to see that whatever you wished for will start to manifest itself around you. “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t—you’re right.” ― Henry Ford 9. Educate yourself The most interesting people are the ones who take an interest in life and never let go of the “beginner’s mind”. They discover learning opportunities and continue to grow, both personally and professionally. Be a life-long learner. You don’t have to get old to become wise. * Read good books * Try to learn something new every day * Take courses in subjects you enjoy 10.Be passionate about something There are some people who are so bursting with energy and vitality that others feel compelled to listen to them, and feel drawn to them. Passionate home cooks, budding interior designers, gourmet chocolate lovers, antique collectors—just try asking them a question about their interest and they will talk your ears off. You want to be that person: someone who’s full of love for something significant. Have one meaningful hobby that encourages you to follow your passion, and you’ll begin each day looking forward to something special. 11. Always be reflective Do you ever think about yourself in moments of solitude? What makes you, you? What makes you tick? What bores you to death? What sort of things do you dream of? What can’t you get over? What regrets do you have of your past? Take some time to think about those things and you’ll understand yourself more clearly and deeply. You’d be surprised at the life-changing impact such reflection can bring. Consider doing a Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) or another personality assessment to develop true understanding of your self 12. Surround yourself with supportive people 3 things can change your life: friends, books & your thoughts. Choose them wisely. Avoid naysayers and party-poopers 13.Banish the word “perfection Listen to what you tell your children: always do your best and forget about the rest. * You are expert enough * Strive for excellence, not for perfection 14.Fix it, or deal with it, but stop whining about it Nobody likes a person who complains all the time. If you look around you, you’ll see many people who have been dealt a bad hand, but are making the best of things. * Don’t blame others for your problems * Don’t make excuses * Don’t be overly sensitive * Don’t be a drama queen 15.Remember things that you are grateful for Try this exercise: whenever you are feeling low, make a list of all the things that make you happy, joyous, and grateful. A beautiful family, adoring kids, kind friends, health, happy home, a job that pays the bills, surprise dinner prepared by a loving spouse, a blog, favourite books and keepsakes, unexpected twenty dollar bill in your jeans pocket. Everything counts. After you’ve done this, consider what has happened to the feelings of doom and gloom: it is impossible not to be cheered up after remembering all the fantastic things you have in your life. Be grateful, and always make room for more happiness. 16. You can have it all, just not at the same time There is no greater truth than this: you cannot have everything at the same time. You have only 24 hours in a day and need to take care of your relationships, work and spirit. One any given day, the focus will shift: some days your children have to go to after-school care because you have an important meeting, while other times work has to take a back seat because of a sick child with a high fever. Sometimes you just need to chill with your girlfriends because it has been ages since you last took a break. You don’t have to do everything all at once, and life doesn’t have to be complicated. Simple living is mindful livin
