Politics / Ukpe Anioma Progressive Association Gives Their Support To Senator Ned Nwoko by gistray: 1:26pm On Jul 09
Creation of Anioma state will correct injustice – GroupPublished on July 9, 2024By Alex Akinrogbe

The leadership of the Ukpe Anioma Progressive Association (UAPA) has given their support to Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North senatorial district in the National Assembly, over the creation of Anioma state as the sixth state of the South East geopolitical zone.

They said since the National Assembly is desirous of correcting the injustice meted out to the South East geopolitical zone with only five states as against the six states in all other geopolitical zones, the need to take advantage of the good national intention and ensure that Anioma becomes the beneficiary cannot be overemphasized.

The National Coordinator, Chief Alex Ikpeazu, flanked by other senatorial leaders: Emeka Okolie, Ben Enwose-Williams, Dr. Chris Ugoh, Chief Joe Nwaoyor, Chief Gabriel Ohai, Chief Fred Okoruwe, Chief Alfred Obuseh, Vera Nwanodu Adesotu, Stella Bardi, and Chukwuma Dafe, at a meeting held in Agboh, Ika North Local Government Area, Delta State, called on all their sons and daughters to overwhelmingly support this historic opportunity.

They saluted the courage and wisdom of Senator Nwoko in championing that noble cause, which was generously debated along with other burning issues concerning the Anioma region and vowed to do everything within their power to encourage him.

While appreciating the Senator for 14 motions and 19 bills moved, submitted, and proposed, they agreed Anioma people have never had a representative with an open-door policy, who is impacting directly on the generality of the people, irrespective of political affiliation.

They urged Senator Nwoko to set aside as an annual event the historic gathering of civil servants, community leaders, and indigenous people of Anioma extraction residing in Abuja, where he had an eventful interaction with them, where questions were satisfactorily answered, which was the very first time any representative has had such.

As part of their resolutions, UAPA stated that: “In the history of political representation of our people at the National Assembly, has any representative intentionally opened their heart and mind for effective representation of our people as we are seeing in Ned Nwoko and we will, therefore:

“Constituency projects which hitherto were selfishly and secretly distributed by our past representatives to their cronies have now been laid bare with beneficiaries cutting across all political parties and ordinary Anioma sons and daughters by Senator Ned Nwoko in virtually all the communities in Delta North,” Ikpeazu noted.

Stupidity is when Igbos who do not have any business that is up to 45 years are competing with Yorubas who have businesses that are more than 100,90,80 years and still doing great.

Yorubas control the building materials and oil and gas (petrol stations),sea water products, new and tokunbo vehicles etc
markets in Nigeria.

Stupidity is when Igbos who do not have any tangible business abroad are competing with Yorubas who have more than 10 multi billion dollars and multi million dollars businesses abroad.
Was watching cabletv yesterday when I learnt that one of the best and greatest communication group in the world.....the Dotmount communication group...is owned by a Nigerian of SW stock and that the company is in 140 countries of the world, I was elated.
Nigerians are simply great but leadership has always been the problem.

Stupidity is when Igbos who do not have any Forbes and Bloomberg certified dollar billionaires are competing with Yorubas who have 4 dollar billionaires out of the 6 dollar billionaires that Nigeria has.
OP,go and rest jooor cheesy

Igbos believe in distributed wealth... that is why we created Apprenticeship system nationwide

We don't believe in 1 man or group of individuals controlling all the wealth why others perish in penury like Yorubas

Show us the ones that have impacted the society positively not personal and individual achivements.. I can list over 100k Yorubas that have achieved great feats in life.

You mentioned Alaba, Tradefair and likes.. It's still Yorubas that made the environment business-friendly for Igbos to do business and thrive in those places.. Lateef Jakande made Lagos market easily accessible for Igbos during his time as Governor so say something else.

List the 100,000 Yorubas or shut up forever.

We are waiting

In recent times, African parents have prioritized a well-rounded education that not only emphasizes academic excellence but incorporates cultural awareness and instills a deep respect for the African ethos and moral values.

This pursuit reflects a desire to ensure their children receive a holistic and enduring education that prepares them to successfully deal with life’s challenges and thrive while honoring their cultural values.

The demand for an all-round, lifelong learning experience is perhaps better exemplified by the focus of some of the best private schools across various Nigerian states. In a country where advancements in education are primarily driven by private entities, these private schools have emerged as key players in the education sector.

These leading private schools in Nigeria fulfill parents' desires for a comprehensive education by delivering academic standards on par with the world's best secondary schools, while prioritizing the preservation of African values, shielding students from influences that challenge traditional cultural norms.

In this ranking of the best secondary schools in Nigeria in 2024, we recognize the educational institutions that embody these values and standards of excellence. These institutions shine as models of academic excellence, creating an atmosphere where students not only succeed academically but also forge a deep sense of identity and belonging.

Similar to the previous year, we collated data on the initially selected 1000 plus top secondary schools across the country to make a well-informed decision.

The schools that made this list were assessed by an independent committee on 3 major parameters namely:
⦁ Students’ performance in national and international examinations in the previous year. Recent awards and recognitions were also assessed.
⦁ Quality of alumni in the last year in terms of verifiable contributions to humanity, verifiable positions in organizations, entrepreneurship, admissions to top universities, etc.
