In the ever-dramatic theatre of Nigerian politics, another act unfolds as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) appears to be positioning Mr. Peter Obi as the face of their so-called coalition mandate. But let’s be honest: Peter Obi is merely being used to gain traction—nothing more, nothing less. Are these not the same political players who have, directly or indirectly, contributed to the state of the nation today? The same power structures, recycled faces, and interest-driven coalitions now parading under the guise of "new hope" are largely responsible for the mess Nigeria currently finds itself in. Let us not forget: there has long been a silent yet persistent resistance to Igbo leadership at the highest level of this country. According to Sowore, asecret memo has often been whispered about—allegedly crafted to ensure that an Igbo man never becomes president. And if the body language of Northern elites during the last election is anything to go by, that theory holds more weight than fiction. Even former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai boldly declared that an Igbo man would never become president—"over his dead body," he said. Shocking? Yes. Surprising? No. This kind of rhetoric has always found room in Nigeria’s political discourse, and it’s often swept under the carpet by a forgetful populace. Nigerians easily forget. We are too quick to embrace recycled saviors and romanticize alliances that have no real commitment to justice or equity. The ADC may be shouting reform, but their underlying motive seems to be clear: use Peter Obi’s clean image and massive youth appeal to gain relevance—then discard him when the goal is achieved. The question remains: are Nigerians watching closely, or will we forget again? |
When news of the sexual harassment allegations against Senate President Akpabio first broke, I couldn’t help but feel that a beautiful 45-year-old senator was leading Nigerians on a wild goose chase. Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan may officially belong to the PDP, but Akpabio has been a stalwart of the APC since his days as Minister of Niger Delta Affairs. Because of her close relationship with him, Natasha has often enjoyed the privileges usually reserved for APC insiders. If such benevolence truly extended to all politicians—regardless of party—we wouldn’t be witnessing the massive wave of defections from the PDP to the APC that unfolded in late April 2025. Price: 8 Billion.Location: Lugbe, Airport Road, By Shallow Villa WhatsApp+2349085172933 Her recent apology, which seemed more like a cynical mockery of the Senate President, only confirmed her ingratitude and ease at forgetting past favors—a trait, sadly, far too common among ungrateful beautiful Nigerian women. Everyone in the Senate knows about their friendship and proximity, and it’s clear that this bond emboldened her to show disrespect toward both the Senate President and the entire Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Yet, despite her position in the opposition PDP, Senator Natasha has navigated Senate leadership channels with remarkable success. Her Gold Reserve Industry Bill sailed through a second reading, laying the groundwork for a new Gold Reserve Authority to bolster national reserves and diversify our economy. She also championed the establishment of a Federal Medical Centre in Ihima, which passed its first reading and promises to bring vital healthcare infrastructure to Kogi Central. In January 2025, her persistence paid off when five mini-LNG plants in Ajaokuta broke ground—an initiative expected to turn the region into a major gas hub and generate thousands of jobs. This string of legislative and developmental wins hardly achieved by any oppositional party member in the federal level, shows that her proximity to the senate president gave her those wins, turning back to accuse him of Sexual harassment now look more like a calculated political move than a genuine plea for justice. |
I kept reading this post of mine almost every time, I think this is one of the best. |

[quote author=duro4chang post=134757466]Exactly, most of what she said Akpabio did are also done by other men too. ' If you take care of me you will enjoy ' . To me all these are not sexual harassment [/quot Tell them |
duro4chang:You got the point |
Usmanovic95:I do not know |
Dspsalvate:You are getting her move. She's hell bent to bring Akpabio down. I can't be part of someone selfish desire, whereas she hardly talk about the situation of the country but goes around talking about issues of no importance to common men. I pray Nigerian youth be wise enough to see beyond media stories. |
obeegee:Yes. That's my point and Nigerians were swayed by mere accusations with no evidence. |
DesChyko:Look at this waste, was that all you got from the write up? Thinking from your left nose... |

DesChyko:People like you think from your nostril. Were you there when they were having good times? Are you aware that the accuser snatched someone else's husband? The man Engaged her and bought her a car while Alero the first wife was home watching on media. Is that fair? |
rortries:The accuser |
duro4chang:Honestly |
yinchar:Chat me up on WhatsApp |
tundegan:not nice at all. |
I am not swayed by sentiments but by facts and the intentions behind every human action. Before the online judges and sympathizers start condemning the Senate President, they should first ask the necessary questions, rather than simply trolling him because he is successful or a politician. Questions like: Did you date the Senate President before you married Emmanuel? Were you and the Senate President close friends even before you became a senator? How did you end up marrying Emmanuel after you had previously sued him? If Natasha Akpoti can answer these questions sincerely, we would be halfway to a solution. Merely accusing someone of sexual harassment, especially someone you were friendly with, just because of a seat rearrangement, suggests that a lot is left unsaid to Nigerians. Meanwhile, many Nigerians have become gullible, failing to question why Natasha would make such allegations just because she was displeased with the seating arrangement. Nigerians were unaware of the duo’s past relationship when they were on good terms. Now that things have gone sour, the aggrieved party is fighting dirty, seeking public sympathy, while the other is using his power to put her in her place. I am deeply ashamed that a serving senator would go around local and international media to accuse someone of sexual harassment at the age of 45. What I see from all this noise is allegedly: Natasha Akpoti and the Senate President were once lovers, and as we know, when lovers fight, it can sometimes be without shame in public when things fall apart. That’s what Natasha Akpoti seems to be displaying now. This is a battle of "let's see who wins," with Natasha trying to distract Nigerians from the pressing issues of hunger and hardship, while Akpabio uses his position to assert control. Nigerians, please leave the two of them and focus on matters that are truly relevant to the country.
