yemmit90: Cow is not included in bride list items, but he will still buy it for the bride family and get the hall for the event. He will also buy matching clothes for bride parent. These are traditions in Yoruba land. If the bride family are rich, they can forgone it on their side but if they are not, he will pay for all the expenses of the wedding on bride family. Mr stop talking thrash! In Yoruba land the wifes side spend more on all these things, they are basically the ones that takes care of the reception of course the husband can assist. I bet you are probably not a Yoruba man or your are from a greedy family that doesn't follow the true Yoruba tradition. |

Pious101: Expectations is the mother of manifestation. It is the expectation of the camera to capture the event while it is the expectation of those being captured to receive Gods gift through a vessel as a result they focus on that. D camera man's focus is to capture what is happening. Imagine the comment SMH....! If all those things are true by the time the spirit lands nobody will even be able to record anything. judewrites: 📖 1 Kings 8 ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ ¹⁰ And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,
¹¹ So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.
I am sure you have witnessed this scenario before:
A spiritual leader prays for and lays hands on certain of his/her members and "whoosh!" they fall to the floor like a pack of cards.
The Charismatics call this experience "slaying in the Spirit" or the most commonly known term "falling under the Anointing".
While many skeptics doubt and mock the authenticity of this divine experience, it is 100% biblical.
I have been personally "slain in the Spirit" on different occasions when prayed for by genuine ministers of God and it felt like mild electricity ⚡ flowing through or warm water 💦 drenching my body.
During King Solomon's dedication of the magnificent temple, God was so pleased that He filled the temple to the brim with His presence.
In response to His overflowing presence, the officiating priests couldn't stand on their feet anymore but were compelled to the floor.
Interestingly, we see something similar when John the beloved encountered the glorified Jesus:
📖 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last. — Revelation 1:17
The Lord's presence was so overwhelming, John subconsciously prostrated at His feet like a dead man.
👉When people are "slain in the Spirit" their spirits are simply responding to God's overflowing presence in awe and reverence.
God so loves us that He often touches us at our point of needs with His presence.
However, unlike in the Old testament, our bodies are now the temples of God's presence...we are carriers and conductors of God's glory. (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
God does pour out His presence through His ministers but It's important to note that while people may "fall under the Anointing" during their prayers, this is not meant to glorify any minister of the gospel.
It is a dangerous thing for any pastor, prophet, evangelist, apostle, etc. to share the glory that exclusively belongs to God.
📖 ...and I will not give my glory unto another. — Isaiah 48:11 Na una know the yeye anointing wey una dey fall....dey scatter church like person wey dey possessed. |
