The world Bank, in collaboration with over 100 US/ EU Universities and educational institutions is offering 100% scholarship to Nigerian students and workers to study with the best universities Free, at Certificate Level through an International Open University System (IOUS). The Scholarship is 100% free, this includes free tutorial materials and certificates. Everyone now has an opportunity to obtain a Certificate Level qualification from over 180 Universities across US, EU and ASIA FREE of Charge. It is the International Free Education Initiative (IFEI). The project is supported by the World Bank, UNESCO, 180 Universities and Global Open University Network (GOUN). And it will come to an end in November 2014.

This project is completely free. The reading materials are available free, the certificate is also free. However, you must score a minimum of 55.5% in any course before you are qualified for the Certificate. Each course lasts for 4-12 weeks. Each participant can take as many courses as possible in any field.

Some of the participating Univeristies include Harvard, Princton, Telaviv, Washington, Ohio etc.

However, there are strict rules of engagement governing the entire project especially as it concerns plagiarism, assigment procedure and interaction with diverse students across the world. To prepare you properly on these and other rules, the Global Open University Network in Collaboration with Footpath Network is organising a one day training workshop in Lagos, Abuja, PH and Enugu respectively.

At the workshop, GOUN will

1.Induct you into the IFEI
2.Formally create a permanent non transferable account for you, to enable you access all the participating universities and courses.
3.Register you for your course(s) and university(ties) of choice.
4.Train you on how to run the courses independently, so you wont have to need us again.
5. A hands-on clinic on rules of engagement.

The workshop/seminar attracts a subsidized service charge of N3000 only to be paid at the venue. Apart from this, the entire project is free!

Please be informed that the Universities participating in the IFEI only offers Certificate Courses free. This is not a Degree programme.
And it is open to everyone across the world irrespective of Race, Gender or Religion. Participants must however be 15 years and above.
