One thing I'd tell every web designer starting out (from my years in B2B sales before I learned to code): your portfolio gets you compliments, but your proposals and payment process get you PAID.

Decide your pricing early, put it in writing, and never start work without a signed agreement — even for "small" clients. The designers struggling out here are rarely the least talented. They're the ones with the weakest paperwork.

The problem I kept seeing (from my sales years and freelance work): talented people losing clients to slow paperwork. Great call with a client, then two days writing the proposal. Send PDF. Client ghosts. You chase. They print-sign-scan (or don't). Then you chase payment for weeks. Sound familiar?

So I built what I wished existed: PropelAI Studio (propelaistudio.com)

How it works:
1. You type a one-line brief (e.g. "5-page website for a catering business in Abuja, 450k"
2. The AI writes the full professional proposal — scope, milestones, terms
3. You send your client a link — they open it on their phone and e-sign. No app, no account needed.
4. From the signed proposal, generate the invoice with a Pay Now button — card, bank transfer, or USSD.

Also in there: contracts, client dashboard, WhatsApp sharing, Zapier integration (it's a listed Zapier app).
