Jobs/Vacancies › Re: What Are Implications Of Reducing Age As Against The Age On WAEC Certificate? by GRACEGLORY: 9:39am On Nov 09, 2019

dayo2me:
I would like everyone to contribute to this topic.

I am 29 years old, by next month I will turn 30. But I am not happy that I am turning 30 with nothing to show for it.

There are lots of job opportunities out there for 26 years old applicants only, if you are 27 you will not be considered. Even the outsourcing firms are on this age restriction too. I went to an outsource firm last month for job. One of the guys that work there checked my credentials and said 'you are 30, I told him I am 29 not 30' thinking there could be a chance for me to get immediate attention. The guy told me, there is an IT(information Technology) interview tomorrow which I would have sent your credentials to the HR but your age is against you. I was sad about this.

Now, my question is, "would there be any penalty for age reduction"? I am using WAEC and you know what that mean. I am planning to go to court for age affidavit.

Your contributions is paramount here. Thanks

It’s simply called age falsification, sir. And it could have many other implications, but the Law of the land label it a criminal offense

I tried looking up some info for you, but none detailed, I’m sorry.
I’d advise you approach one of the cab drivers at the airport. Look out for friendly ones, by their facial expression you’d be able to tell, and dig him for details.
Good luck bro.

Very true...I was part of an interview panel last month (HSEMS-data entry officer) and the company didn't care about your PhD.. but just who could do the job..shikena. Though training shall be provided but suitable candidates needed to demonstrate (practical) understanding of basic concepts.

The cert only serves as proof that you have the ability to learn, understand, communicate that learnt, and apply it.

Good evening ladies and gentlemen, I just finished serving last month and I got a job offer of 40k. I am a B.Sc holder, graduated with second class upper. I need your candid advice whether I should accept or decline the job offer.

You have four options to consider:

1. Accept the job, and do it joyfully until your heaven break lose.
2. Create a job.
3. Go to the farm.
4. Reject the job offer and wait for the better days that may never come as big things always starts small.

Do not despise these small beginnings... Zechariah 4:10

School doesn't guarantee you good pay, that can only happen in the industrial age, wake up, this is the information age, only applicable information to solving man's problem pays more money now, no be by how good your cert is.
