Greetings Unilorites, from the fore-going dialogue with the Vice chancellor of the school, Prof Abdul-ganiyu Ambali. He stated that the Central Bank of Nigeria has not grant the school its treasury bills and that is why there is a delay so far in the acceptance fee payment and he reteirated that the acceptance fee payment will be available shortly. Also, He acknowledge the fact that was said by the school Registrar, Mr E.D Obafemi that NUC has truly increased the school admission quota and the university can go far in admitting up to 10,000 as they have enough new buildings and infrastructures to accommodate them. He also said that the second batch admissions will be available very soon but didn't specify any date...

The school registrar professor E.D Obafemi is being interviewed on unilorinfm radio 89.3.
He said the school can't resume unless the second batch is released.He also said the NUC has approved to the school to admit more 2000 students to the given quota.Now the school will admit 9800+. According to the senate meeting they had today the second list will be released soon.

This is a direct message from the senate commitee unilorin:
Second batch university of ilorin admission list willinclude those with less than 50 percent and willbe out next week wednesday.
If you had 40% and above and did well in your jamb, be expecting an alert by wednesday 21st of october next week.


The news is from our course rep.. Its like d list is really going to be out next week.

It seems you're getting me wrong. What I mean is I can welcome a male visitor but I believe its not right bringing him into your room( place of learning) I respect Him a lot and wouldn't even want him around a place like my room in the hostel where some room mates may be treating smhow. I only included that to get some clarity on the issue.

if you are loaded with cash; the private hostel in school goes for 90k(it has more privacy than the general hostel.)
The general goes for 28k(last session).
*In school hostel : you can visit the Library easily, more stable electricity, access to Lecture theatres more easily, no transport fee, and lesser stress and so on. you tend to be more focused if you are a serious type.
Tutorials-- its more convinient for one to attend tutorials easily, even on Saturdays that some lecturers recommend lectures,(though not always).
* Off-campus- freedom to do anything you like, you can set your room the way you like, though with stress in getting to school( transport ish---depends on your plan), you dont need to pack out after the end of the session. It allows you to welcome visitor in a more convinient way.(if you are more of a social type).
In Summary, from my own perspective; school hostel is more better provided you will keep your things well secured.

what's with this 'no visitor' thing? I'm not the kinda girl who may want a guy to visit me at my place of learning, the worst that can happen is for us to see in d common room n not going in the room with me, but what abt one's sister( a girl o) who may wanna come around , they won't allow her in too n sleep over?

for DE , u only need ur Ijmb/NCE/OND/HND or its equivalent result, O'levels, Jamb acknowlegement slip n if you're frm Kwara state,u upload ur indigene cert.

enekwizu14, dont be fooled by what you have been told. I have more than 15 students around me here in Kaduna who had between 71 and 75 in the post jamb whose names where not in the first list. Would they say they dont have a good O/Level result No! I saw there O/Level results if a candidate can have 5 A's and 3 C's O/Level result and had 74% in there post jamb what would you say is the reason why he is not given admission.

I think the courses they chosed is a competitive one.

I saw mine and the amazing aspect of it is that despite people's views like I need to have Lonnnngleg,be an indegene et al,I made it without no connection,I'm from ogun state. Scored 62%, 16points aggregate from my NCE result opted in for edutech n I was given. What I can say is its God alone that can do it. For those who couldn't make, all hope is not lost, 2nd list is on the way, you just have to be optimistic and positive about it. Congratulations to those that made it!

Yes they are included. I'm a DE aspirant and I was admitted (educational technology)
