Only Egbema clan Balkanized into Edo nd Delta state among so many other Ijaws there with them, only Egbema clan have over 350 villages and settlements under it, and Ijaw have over 70 clans.

It was in the aftermath of a long battle with Ijaw elders who argued that the kingdom was the heritage of all Ijaw. And that any any Opoboan can aspire to rule the kingdom. It was a litigation that lasted for about 30 YEARS.

The Jaja foundation was quickly established King Dandeson Jaja, and Anyim Pius Anyim appointed the chairman.

The implication of all these is that the Jajas only can determine how they want to position their estate Opobo. The Jajas have a very strong affinity with their blood kindred at Amaigbo. They also relate quite well with Opobo subjects. It is just them that will decide.
