Nigerians are yet to learn that tribes are sacrosanct. In a lawful society you can't disparage a tribe and go scot-free. You can criticize a political leader because his decisions affect you and he is voted by the people but it's a taboo to insult a tribe or a region for a new. Criticize Tinubu or Obi no reasonable person cares but it sounds strange to give a people a blanket name.
Although we have used Nairaland to assess and review the action of political leaders and make our feelings known, it's being abused by online tribal and religious pedophiles who don't understand it's a punishable crime to disparage a tribe or call her names.
