In every society , there are extant laws, the ones that the constitution is built on ( & which in turn, the constitution ratifies.)


If there is a demand for "other laws " to be imbibed, by a part of society (be they a minority or a majority) extenuating circumstances will determine if the demands should be met.

Including

1. Who are those making these demands & why?

2. In places where these laws guide society, what has been the outcome?

3. How will these laws impact other members of that society?

That said , you can not and should not call for religious laws in a secular society peopled by diverse religions.

I might give a nod to the morality of SOME PARTS of sharia law, but I personally believe it is barbaric and easily perverted.

If it is not easily perverted, I would think "Hisbah " would have jaoiled or cut of the hands of senior thieves , embezzlers and oppressors in kano , zamfara and kaduna, or perhaps jailed the children of the rich Muslim faithful who flaunt immorality by their dressings, rather than go after poor hapless people who have no choice than to sit beside each other in a keke napep.

NB. People still migrate. So, moving to Iran, Qatar, Saudi and Co, should not be an issue for a moslem faithful.

If you are following the Ukraine Russian war honestly, you will understand that Putin used this senseless invasion to ridicule Russia and her former reputation. Unlike before, small European countries now talk to Russia anyhow, even threatening to carry out preemptive strike against Russia if Russian missiles or drones stray into their airspace, it's because they have seen Russia nyash finally via this Ukraine war.


Imagine if Ukraine had her own locally made long range missiles that can reach Moscow, etc? Can you ever imagine Mexico or Cuba or any North American country having the courage to enter US homeland to be bombing towns, cities, taking territories, killing Americans, bombing American infrastructures and taking American soldiers hostage, can this ever happen to America? That should tell you that Russia is an overhyped military superpower using nuclear weapons to scare people away.



All the daring people that made USSR a superpower have left Russia, the current Russia was only in charge of government policies, but the foot soldiers behind their might were Ukrainians, Belarusians, Kazakhstan, Uzbeks and Azerbaijan.


So stop over hyping Russia, it's a developing nation with nuclear weapon and natural gas, these two things are what makes Europe and US to respect Russia cos they need their gas for economic stability and they respect their nuclear ammunition to avoid mass destruction that would affect their high level of development compared to below par development in Russia
