What is an Airdrop?

An airdrop is a distribution of a cryptocurrency token or coin, usually for free, to numerous wallet addresses. Airdrops are primarily implemented as a way of gaining attention and new followers resulting in a larger user-base and a wider disbursement of coins.

*SO WHAT ARE THE THINGS NEEDED TO GET AN AIRDROP*

3) Twitter account
4) Discord account
5) Telegram account

*1) Sollet.io account:* first thing to do is to go to Sollet.io to create an account, copy and save your phrase keys to somewhere.

*What is Phrase keys?*
When you create a crypto wallet, a seed phrase is automatically generated. The seed phrase is representation of a long string of random numbers it will always be use to access your account. *KEEP IT SAFE*
After creating an account, deposit SOL coin worth of 10$ to it.! You will need the coin in minting airdrop address and also use as gas fee when swapping a particular coin.

*What is minting?* Minting is a process where buy you added a particular token address to your sollet account in order to receive their Airdrop.

*What is a gas fee?*
Gas fees” are the transaction fees that users pay to miners on a blockchain protocol to have their transaction. Is a little fee that will be deducted when you are trying to swap a coin.

*2) VPN:* This will be needed to access Twitter as we all know that they have banned the using of Twitter in Nigeria. So you can just download *Windscribe* and create a free account to access Twitter.

*3) Twitter account:* you will need this in retweeting the project posts. For example when any Airdrop release a form for people to fill, they will always attached to it that you should follow their Twitter page, like pinned post and also Quote tweet. So first thing you need to do when you get link is to go to their Twitter page, follow the account, Quote the pinned post, and you will also be asked to tag like 2-5 friends, do that and copy your quoted tweet link..! Go back to the form and put it in the provided space for twitter retweet link.

*4) Discord account:* This is the ogbonge in (Sabinus voice) for getting an Airdrop.
So for example after getting a link, you will be asked to join their discord server, to get an OG role to be eligible for the project Airdrop.

*WHAT IS AN OG ROLE?*
OG role is a role that will be assigned to you in order to qualify for the project Airdrop. Some project will ask you to join their Discord and go to announcement, react to an emoji to get the OG role, while some project will have maximum of people that will get OG role before they close it, some always use what we called early access role, *EARLY ACCESS ROLE* is given to those that join the Discord server very early when they are up to or less than 1k members. So you must always be active to claim role to be eligible for drops.

*BENEFITS OF OG ROLE?*

Helps to be eligible for Airdrop: even when some people can't get the drop, you will get it because you have an OG role

Helps to get more units of token than what other community members that also participated without OG will get.

*WHAT IS THE MAIN PURPOSE OF AN OG ROLE?*
For example after getting the role, you need to keep checking the server announcement for next update. The project might open a section in their server for people with only OG role to drop their *sol address* copied from sollet.io.

*WHERE TO GET YOUR DISCORD USERNAME?*

Click menu in the app it will bring the options there and you will see your user name.

*5) Telegram account:* this one is not really important like before because many projects have moved to discord because of the easy access and some other things, and some of the Airdrop might ask you to join their Telegram too, so you need to get one.
