Absolutely. They know Nigerians, they have used subsidy weaponized poverty to subjugate, are not politically sophisticated and only about "Rice and Eba" (Reno Omokri) plus cheap fuel etc that can never, in a million years, advance us towards becoming a developed nation.

Singapore that has no crude oil owes part of its development to her embracement of refining the crude oil of others beginning decades ago while Atiku is saying we who have crude should abandon the advantage of refining and making optimal profit from it to develop our nation.

Has the perennial problem of Africa not being that we sell our crude oil and mineral endowment rather than turning them into far more profitable finished product that would see Africa be closer to Europe today if we had adopted that policy perhaps 50 years ago?

For example, China will buy our lithium and turn them into solar batteries we then buy expensively.

Atiku is just simply desperate. Zero economic sense related to his pledge of returning fuel subsidy and just an attempt to scam politically naive Nigerians, he knows are largely under-educated, especially in the North, to vote for him.
