lionshare: It’s an outright fallacy to say the Nigerian economy is in shambles—no economic indicator supports this position.
Yes, there’s an upsurge in banditry and general insecurity but should that stop the other over 95% of Nigerians who’re not affected by this crisis directly from living their normal lives which itself is connected to the well-being of the economy. Political parties and their activities are a vital part of democracy; we should not strangle democracy because of the current situation. Do you know the economic and social implications of that?
Actually, this is the right time to play party politics for a serious opposition. With the upsurge in insecurity, a serious opposition would’ve used the situation to galvanize support from Nigerians to remove the incumbent, but hey, they’re retards with zilch balls I really doubt everything is alright with you, spit |

gawu1: I wish there were a northerner as president right now. Trump and those Christian fundamentalist legislators in America think they can pressure Nigeria into submitting to their demands, but they need to understand that Nigerians are not cowards. No one can simply declare Sharia law to be banned. I don’t believe that a solution is on the horizon.
While Hisbah, which operates in only a few northern states, could be disbanded, suggesting that Sharia should be banned is akin to saying that Islam itself should be banned. Just as the U.S. and Trump assert their own red lines, they must recognize that others have their own boundaries as well. It has to be banned because it has caused a lot of trouble and deaths to this country or split the country and enjoy your sharia in peace, must we be in the same country? You guys should stop rubbing it on our face, Nigeria is not an Islamic state |

Sirjamo: Lol Kiriyos wants to hide under terrorism to fight Islam. US should first abolish lgbtq law and also ban the gun violence which is killing 30 000 Americans annually. I am waiting for any Nigerian President that would be unfortunate enough to ban sharia law. I want to see how he would do it. It will be banned or the country split, use your sense for once |
Politics › Re: Ebenezer Obadare To US: Pressure Nigeria To Abolish Sharia Law, Disband Hisbah by Hankim: 12:13pm On Dec 03, 2025 |
erad: I think the US is more particular about destabilizing Nigeria than actually helping. Why have they not asked Saudi and other Islamic countries to ban sharia law. You don't just propose such unreasonable solution at such a fragile moment.
Sharia law is what Muslims practice, what you should be talking about is how to standardize it with written down non-barbaric punishment for offenders. Also for the government to make sure it's binding on only willing muslims and subject to appeal at higher courts.
This is not a solution in any way, it's rather the creation of another problem because it will no longer be war against bandits, it will now be war against Islam which Nigeria is not ready for. When did Nigeria become Islamic country like those countries you mentioned? Quit whatever you are smoking because it’s not good for your brain |

sreamsense: Keep deceiving yourself by passing mere grammar from yourself to yourself! Kanu and his lawyers could not prove he was not a terrorist despite given lenghty period to defend himself. You can call him any name you like to suit your deceitful purpose, but the only legitimate name under law is that KANU is an international terrorist and a terrorist founder that has killed many Igbos. If you love him so much, consider traveling to Sokoto prison to share 2years with him How can he prove it with a Yoruba hate filled and corrupt judge, keep deceiving yourself When are you going after those terrorists in Kwara? 😂

Or he made the mistake he was untouchable and the UK and could cause chaos and disorder without consequences back home.
I remember my dad growing up back then used to be a fast and furious driver. But when he started birthing children reduced his need for speed and would never go above 100km/ hr and was even more cautious when he was driving with us the kids in the car.
People ought to be cautious of the consequences of their actions in advance! Kanu decisions and actions makes nonsense to me, I only feel sad because of kids because I know they are still little and deserve fathers love This is why I don’t like people who talk a lot because they usually don’t think deeply because they always believe they can talk themselves out of problems, that’s pure illusion |

15- 20 years? Well, I think the most important is what the law indicates for such crime! He should be pardoned for the sake of his innocent kids, I can’t even imagine a life without my little kids because they need me most now at this stage of their life. Na so we advised Ekpa on this forum and his response is always… what you don’t know is bigger than you. I think Kanu meant good but with wrong process Government intentionally killed his supporters to frustrate, forced him into giving violence orders. Streetinvestor2: Why don't u tell us what u and your family has done just for ur village. Then I can tell u what he has done for igbo. Standing alone for biafran struggle is a big doing We don’t need to fight with each other’s Bro, Nigeria government is never going to allow the Igbo go, because it will be end of Nigeria and the same with the Yorubas. Igbo balanced a lot of things in Nigeria. Do you think Yoruba will agree to be in the same country with the core North, the same thing with those in North central with high numbers of Christian’s because they will be over run within few months. Have you not noticed how other regions get angry with anyone who agitates for Biafra republic apart from south south region Nigeria na one chance vehicle |
Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu-my Opinion by Hankim: 12:23pm On Nov 21, 2025 |
No, I’ve seen a lot of educated ones among them, most of his supporters are into three categories, first is lack of enlightenment, second one are just gullible people, then some others are due to poverty because they were told their poverty will end when Biafra is actualized.
I think I listened to one of his broadcast in 2021 for a few seconds but I asked person to off it because his utterances were crude and uncultured and venomous. Even if we want to leave Nigeria it has to be in a peaceful way. I’ve complained and advised a lot of his supporters to stop listening to Kanu instead they get angry., my friend who went to Nigeria back then got launched for mere advice and he escaped because he was a rich and respected around that area, he told me so that I can close my mouth when their feeding themselves with Kanu fantasies.
Sometimes I wonder if Kanu was not raised in Nigerian or he’s just being ignorant with his agitation process, because he should have choose his fight wisely as an Igbo man knowing our history in this evil country. we all know it’s a matter of time before they will get him. Have you ever wondered how Nigeria government knew about his trip to Kenya?
My only issue with Nigerian government is the hash and bias judgement. 20 or 15 years would have been fine. The life imprisonment is a joke
Sometimes I feel like my people who spent most of their entire lives in the southeast and then straight to abroad don’t understand how dangerous Nigeria is. Those who are born or spent youth age in other regions are more equipped to understand how Nigeria works. Nigeria does not work like a normal country. My people should understand this and vote based on our interest and not to make Nigeria better and work like normal countries. This is why we are hated
Stop looking for the country to work, this is what North and Yoruba has been doing.
This is my sincere advice. . |
